This place needs more excellent reviews. Totally legit place! If you live in Augusta, definitely worth the drive. The owners are local, knowledgeable, and extremely nice! The owners are retired military and are better than any fish store within 100 miles. I've been a fish owner for close to 5 years now, fresh and saltwater. I always look for local places, because they take care of you, and this place does. They're not money hungry. Can't say enough good things about this place. It looks shady from the outside, but be open minded and go inside. You won't regret it. Will be coming back here for the duration of my stay in Augusta.

Mike's tropical fish is my favorite place around Augusta to buy fish or plants. I have had a great experience every time I have visited their store. Their staff is knowledgeable, friendly and really care about their customers. Everything I bought from them has been healthy. If they did not have something I wanted in stock, it did not take long for them to get it for me.

They are very knowledgeable but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The owner got offended like I had shown up to their home to buy one of her kids. She wants to tell you what to buy and when. Then get mad at you if you don't. She actually told me I must think my money is better than hers. I only asked the price of something in the tank and when it was different than I had been previously told, I replied "Oh no. That can't be the one I saw last time!" Really more to myself than anyone.I love the knowledge they seem to have but I'll continue to shop at Bob's in Evan's. There they will answer questions and they understand that you might want to research marine life before purchasing.

Don't buy anything from there but the fish, scammed me to buy other products that I didn't need 2 days my fish started dying.i lost a lot of money buying fish from there, so be careful.

Outstanding customer service! Great selection of fish, great looking tanks! Just what a great "mom n pop" local fish store should be. It's a little over an hour away from us, but we'll go back!!!

A little cramped but my wife and I enjoyed the experience. Love Ms. Lee's stories and knowledge of what she's selling. She really cares if you're getting good healthy fish.

Great healthy fish. Ms. Lee is very nice and knowledgeable. If you want cichlids this is definitely the place. Could use some organization, but healthy fish are what I look for.

I bought 2 fish aquarium bulbs from them last week. They were the wrong size and I took them back this morning and the owner said, "What's wrong with the bulbs?" I said they were the wrong size and she said "I'm not walmart, I don't give cash refunds." I will not shop here again.
