The employees here are very nice and knowledgeable. All animal cages and fish tanks were clean and all appeared to be healthy. The store and bathroom was also clean.

Jada, supposedly trimmed my dogs nails and cut his hair, when I looked at his nails they were not clipped at all. The hair around his face was not trimmed either. Quality was not one of her traits and I gave her a tip. I called back and left a voice-mail for the money they charged they better rectify.

My last three visits has exceeded past visits. The three gentlemen who served me were simply courteous and kind-hearted, especially the last young Caucasian gentleman. He served me this past Saturday, January 13th, between 10-11:30 a.m. hour. He was courteous, above and beyond respectful, friendly, a honest type of kindness, sincere, excellent customer service, caring, and a kind gesture of gratitude (thanked me for shopping in the store as I departed). I watched as he extended the same courtesy to all his customers. This far outweigh my expectation of what I experienced in times passed, I’m in awe, but extremely grateful!Way-2-Go!!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10+ stars

I had received an email from Petco about a sale you were having. I purchased Nutramax for Cats. The cashier rang it up at full price. When I told him about the sale he did agree to sell at the sale price once I found it on my phone. That would have been fine, EXCEPT he would not apply my Vital Care Core points. Said I couldn’t use them with sale items. I have looked and looked and I cannot find anything stating that points can’t be used with sale items.

It was an awful experience and total waste of time and money. my dog was feeling very lethargic and experiencing vomiting. I call a make an appointment later that day to get him checked out. They proceed to tell me my dog is on his death bed and I need to rush him to an emergency clinic an hour and a half away that night. They take x-rays, tests, injections, etc. and are doing every thing to run up the bill. $500 later they have little to no information. I wait till the next morning to take him to an actual vet just to find out my dog was constipated. I am extremely angry that I wasted time and money for nothing. Petco has lost my business for good!

It would have been great if they had more employees working to answer questions about products. I was there for at least 30 minutes and really didn't see anyone to help me with what I was looking for.

Where to even begin.... Don't even think about training here. The dog training area has become a storage room (it's literally always like this every time I go). We drive an hour to Pooler every week for training even though I'm five minutes away from Petco.Today I made the mistake of trying to get a harness since my pup outgrew her current one. Pallets blocking the ones I normally use, and the harnesses were thrown into the table in such a mess you couldn't find anything. No employee on the floor to help me find it. Guess we'll go to PetSmart instead.Pallets everywhere on a busy Sat.This location has gone way downhill this past year.

You ask to buy a fish and they interrogate you and then tell you that they won't sell you a fish because each fish they sell needs at least 10 gallons per fish. So if you want 3 tiny tetras you need 30+ gallon tank. But yet their fish are in horrible condition. Many of their tanks have dead fish because of how they never clean their tanks and they have more than 15 fish in tanks less than 10 gallons per fish. I've had 2 fish in an established tank for more than 1 year and they have been happy and healthy. I now realize I'd be scared to add any of their poorly kept fish to my happy and established tank for fear of what sicknesses or diseases I might be bringing home from Petco's horrible practices.

I will start by saying the management staff was amazing. I can't remember her name, but she went above and beyond to make sure we and the lizard we adopted were taken care of.That being said, we came there to get my wife a Chameleon for her birthday. The person who helped us gave us a bunch of info that was incorrect. The size of the worms the lizard could eat. The amount of attention it needed and the humidity level. He told us the kit we got had everything we needed to get started, which it did not. Also, the specific kit had suction cups for glass, but the cage was wire mesh. That may not be a petco problem, but if you are gana sell animals products, at least know what you're selling. And as for pet selling, there should always be someone there who knows the animals. Just because you work at petco does not mean you are an expert on animals. That poor lizard would have died on the info we received. Luckily, we are a family that researches and we realized we didn't have the time to dedicate, so we brought it back. And she was safe. If there isn't a specialist that can be there, then the animals should be off-limits to sell. At the very least, the exotic harder to take care of pets.Again, management handled the situation very well, in my opinion. Everyone was upset that it didn't work out, including us, but we were treated with respect.

The management is non existent, everytime I go to Petco the shelf has stuff thrown everywhere with zero selection. They don't even carry larger dog nail clippers only small ones. I asked the male manager a question regarding suppositories for my dog he said that he doesn't think they ever carried that, barely acknowledgeimg me he was interested in hanging out and joking with staff. Offer no other assistance.Get it together or resign ur not doing anything for ur public.want

Went in and asked a question on my dog And Grandma's dog. They helped with mine and found some who could help with. My Grandma Dog the time they put in an effort. Surprise me very well-mannered And polite.

Bc this store never got back in touch with me after I bought contaminated crickets from them. The crickets died, busted open, and had mites inside. The mites infested an entire room in my house. I spoke to an employee at the store. He said he'd have someone call me back ... never heard a thing.

After reading other reviews that mentioned rudeness during grooming visits I conclude that my experience was not just a “bad day” for the staff. Numerous reviews mention a horrible manager, so possibly that contributes to the grooming staff being unhappy and showing it. My early experience here was satisfactory; something has changed. That something is affecting some of the staff. Petco, if you care about your brand, you’d better read these reviews and consider acting.

I visited the vet inside of the Petco today and the staff was so friendly and helpful! Liv was the employee that helped me and she was very kind and understanding. She gave me suggestions and assured me that I was a good dog parent. Definitely give this place a try!

The grooming hours are wrong online, and when booking no one told me the hours were wrong. I was informed that my pets were ready for pickup, and I let the groomer know that I would be there to pick them up before closing and ONLY THEN was I informed that the hours shown online were wrong. Since I was 20 minutes late due to this time discrepancy, my pets are not banned from being booked at Petco. I've NEVER heard of a business banning service because of their mistake. AND THE TIMES ARE STILL INCORRECT ONLINE!

There is some fantastic people that work here. Michael with his beautiful curly hair is a wonderful person. He always has a smile and will go out of his way to help you. There are ladies who also are very helpful too but I don't remember their names. There is many friendly people in PetCo and I enjoy going in and saying hello to everyone.

I needed to have my one year old Maltese looked at thinking it had a abscess tooth but turn out to be something different. Very pleased with the way they took care of the situation and listened to me. Putting together the situation at hand and treated my dog with professionalism and kindness.Also very reasonable with the price. Great staff . ♥️💯✅

I checked online to see if they carried the items I was looking for. When I got to the store, the items were substantially more expensive than what was listed on the website (almost $5 per item) so I checked the site again & noticed I could do free pickup. Since I already had the 2 items in my arms I asked an associate if they would just price match for me instead of me placing the order & waiting for them to prepare it. She told me no, which honestly seemed obnoxious. I clarified for her that the item price on their website was the same when I searched in general, same for pick up, and same for delivery... but she still told me no. Well I really needed them asap so I placed the order & waited outside. When my order was ready I stood inches from the counter at the sign that said pick up. The cashier came up and rang up a customer- fine. I waited as they chatted. Then another person had just walked up (with questions, not to check out) & he helped her as I stood waiting- fine. Then he walked away. Another associate walked up and also did not acknowledge me. So I waited more. I finally had to interject myself to get any assistance, which is something I find to be poor customer service- on top of the fact that they just refused to be accommodating at all in the first encounter. Honestly, what store won't price match with their own website? In the future, I will drive to Pooler & go to Pet Smart.
