I was told that by only bringing my 7 month old puppy once or twice a week that I was psychologically damaging her. And that spring break boarding was picking up and they didn’t have time for her. The only time I need her in daycare is 2 days per week while I’m in school. My dog has separation anxiety from me, that’s not an uncommon issue. My puppy has only been to Carol’s daycare only 4 or 5 times, and every time I came to pick her up I would ask how she did, every single time I was told “she seems nervous or scared”. I have never seen my dog be nervous or scared around other dogs. She loves the dog park and my roommate’s dog. I do not put my puppy in a crate, we have tried but was not working, that was the only time I’ve seen my puppy act anything like nervous or scared. So I’m thinking she was just put in a kennel all day. I feel like I wasted my time and money going to Carol’s. After reading other reviews, I agree that the place is a dump. If the place is doing so well, remodel it!!!!! I will not recommend this place to anyone and I will never bring my dog back. Saying “I’m sorry” isn’t going to fix the issues this business has.

Carol's was highly recommended to me by a friend while I was visiting Savannah this past spring and summer. I could not have been more disappointed. Day care consisted of my dog spending the majority of his time in a kennel. I didn't think there were any more day care facilities and felt stuck with her. The final straw was when I dropped my dog off and an unleashed dog who was behind the counter went after my dog who was leashed and under Carol's control. Carol yanked his leash so hard I thought he was going to break his neck. She then screamed at him to, "leave her alone"!

Carol's Pampered Pets was recommended to me by my vet for the training classes-which were great. And right next door is their doggie daycare. I started taking my puppy there purely for socialization, I'm a stay at home housewife but I didn't want her to just stay at home with me all the time. I take her on walks and to the park but she doesn't really get to interact with other dogs, except our neighbor's dog. I took my puppy there 1-3 days out the week since March 2013, then in June there were a couple of new girls working behind the counter. Then one day one of the new girls explained to me how my puppy was too energetic and required lots of attention and supervision for only $14 a day. WOW! Well, first off, I never had any issues before, no one every mentioned anything to me before, this is a first that I was every told that she was a "problem". And I pay only $14 because that is the fee....if there were other options....like $14 for a puppy but $20 for a high energy puppy I would pay the higher fee, but there were no such options. I know that my puppy is high energy, but she is a puppy and it was NEVER a issue before at this place, nor is it an issue at her new current doggie daycare place. I mentioned this to our dog trainer at one of our puppy classes and our trainer told me that he doesn't think that my puppy is an issue and that actually some places says things like this because they want you to spend more money on their training classes or to bring your dog more often to the doggie daycare. Which I think she tried to do, she kept mentioning that I need to bring my puppy more frequently. I told her that I bring her only 1-3 days out the week because I am a stay at home housewife and that I only bring her for her to paly with other dogs. And she tried to tell me that I need to walk her more....etc...I'm an avid runner...I run and walk my puppy all the time, so I knew she had no clue as to what she was talking about. But in the end, I'm glad that she approached me and insulted me, because I found another great place that is far better than this place.Like I stated before, my puppy doesn't interact with other dogs besides our neighbor dog. I brush her coat everyday in the evening and there were a few times that I found fleas on her. I know it was not an infestation because I literally only found 2-3 fleas, and reading some of the other reviews on this place I think its safe to assume that she probably picked it up from here. What I like about our new doggie daycare is that they require you to show proof that you are protecting your dog from fleas (either collars or medication). Also, my puppy has come home with scratches and bumps quite a few times when I took her to Carol's pampered pets. At first I was concerned but then I passed it off as ok, dogs sometimes play rough. But she has been at her new doggie daycare for over a month and not ONE Scratch!!!!I'm not going to mention the new place that I now take my puppy to, cause then it might just seem that I am writing this review to promote it. But I will say this....I was content with Carol's pampered pets doggie daycare, until they tried to sucker me to spend more money there by telling me that my puppy that I have been taking there for over three months was suddenly a "problem" because she was too energetic and aggressive. But don't be just content there are great doggie daycares out there and try them all out before you just settle for one place. And check your dog for fleas and scratches....and don't sign up for classes just because they tell you your dog is a "problem" if you know that your dog is not a problem.

NEVER will my dog (or any pets for that matter) be back. My dog is extremely loving and playful. He’s a year old and still has all his puppy energy. After spending a weekend at this boarding place he was clearly traumatized and upset. He was scared of anyone except for people closest to him. He refused to drink any water and has scarfed down four bowls of food since being picked up TODAY alone. He was scared of being yelled at or being hit, walking around with his tail tucked. He’s been much more attached than he normally was after getting home. And we have left him with other people for over a weeks time and he didn’t act that way. I don’t know what kind of business these people are running or how they treat the animals, but I will NEVER refer ANYONE to this place.

Carol is a Savannah institution. She offers a variety of canine classes, from basic obedience to agility, rally and nosework, as well as private instruction. She definitely can train your dog. You? We'll see . . . .

We always took our dog there whether to stay for a day or overnight, or trim his nails. This time they did not trim our dog's nails as we asked them to do that morning. They simply denied the fact that we asked them and then said that our dog was not welcome there anymore. The staff was extremely rude and inconsiderate to us and the service was terrible. Obviously, we will never go back there again.
