I am over the top satisfied with my cat door for my window. I had to get a dog kennel for my 4 cats when I had to move before I bought my house because I wanted to make sure they wouldn't run away. To be able to have them come in and out of the window of the house I was temporarily staying at, I had to take one of the cage panels out and replace it with a piece of plywood with a space cut out for a cat door that I bought and ran a tunnel up to the window.When I bought my house I brought my kennel with me and it has worked well. I saw this company when I first moved to my house, but couldn't figure out how to use the flap with the wood that was there and have it connect with the flap in the wood. 3 years later I had a Eureka moment and realized I could take the wood out. I ordered this for my window and now I have this clear window that my cats can look out when they are on the shelf inside. I leave the catio open during the day for them to run out, but at night they are inside and just sit there looking out this clear window. I am so happy with this product and highly recommend it.

We moved into a townhouse that only has a front door and a garage door-- we were really concerned about how our cats would get outside (we put doggie doors in our old house's man-door that led to the garage, then another one in the man-door that lead to the backyard-- this obviously wasn't an option in the new house). Cat Flap Fever's vertical window kitty door was the perfect solution and we were SO happy that I stumbled upon their website!Our window is taller than a normal window, but this didn't present a problem at all-- they measured exactly to our measurements and used the pictures we sent them to get the kitty door itself, exactly where we needed it to clear the back of our couch.We had to add some weather stripping along the top of the window as well as the top of the kitty door because there is naturally a bit of a gap so the whole kitty door can easily fit into the window. We left a little sticking out in so we can easily open the window fully. (Shown in picture number 3.)We also added a brush pile weather sealer along the length of the window from the top to the bottom in between the fixed window and the moveable window. Adding these were super easy and super affordable. (Also shown in picture number 3.) My husband would like to re-do this in the future because he didn't do a very good job the first time around. It doesn't look great at the moment (though it will after he redoes it), but it functions perfectly.I've included pictures of the two products we used to super weather/wind/sound proof our window.In addition, we put a wooden dowel in the window for security and a tall kitty house on the porch that they use to land on when they go outside and stand on to go through the window/door to get back inside.I can't say enough great things about their customer service and the quality of their product! I highly recommend them and would use them again in the future if the need ever arose again.

The window insert looks awesome. It fits perfectly ( and it is very easy to take the measurements), it is so clear it does not even look like there is an insert there and the flap door keeps air drafts away. Sammy the cat started using it immediately with the flap door propped open. We will train him on opening it by himself in a few days. Communication with the company was great. I recommend this item to anyone who has little furry friends!!

Im gonna be honest, I was skeptical of ordering off this companies website! I recently bought a catio and set it up, but needed a cat window for my cat to go through and get to the Catio with ease.I started my journey in looking for the best window insert, found plenty on Amazon and just couldn't bring myself to spend as much or more to do it all myself rather than just buying from Cat Flap Fever.Although I was a skeptic, I must admit. I received the window insert, and was Immediately impressed! It's beautiful! Perfect for my cat! UNTIL I tried to put it into the window! Now then me say that I had already thought I might have measured wrong, and totally DID. My insert was slightly too big to sit into the window without bowing terribly! I was completely devastated, knowing it would take another week or so to get it back if I had to go that route. So, I emailed the company! Explaining that I realize it was probably my fault, and that I would pay the restocking fee for my mess up, or whatever fee there was. I also asked that they just help me figure anything out that could poasibly make this insert fit.To my surprise, the wonderful people that work there, did just that! They let me know that this happens sometimes, and that although we could go the route of restocking, or having them cut it. The money to send it back and forth for that reason, might just not be worth it. They suggested I either, find a glass cutting company, or if I have a handy relative, to see if they'll cut it for me to avoid the fees and shipping. They even googled glass companies near me and suggested those ones! WOW! Completely honest and helpful!I then asked my dad to help cut it so we could get it inserted! He cut just a smidge off the length, and BAM, it fits perfectly!This company has OUTSTANDING customer service, and if ever I need another window insert, I would definitely choose them! No regrets here, (other than my silly measuring skills! Ha!)Anywho, this company is amazing, the window insert is perfect, and the cat flap is easy for my cat to come and go as he pleases! I also love the option that I have to lock the door too!

I opted for the clear cat flap window insert and I’m extremely extremely happy with its simplicity in design and it’s quality.Definitely a clean and crisp looking window insert that also still allows light through and the cat to peer out through.Beyond that, I cannot speak highly enough about Cat Flap Fever as a company.I had a mishap while installing the cat flap so I emailed the company. Purchased as I had an odd sized window and they could customize. Very sturdy and my cat loves it. I broke the locking mechanism by accident, and they sent me a new tab right away at no charge. I was able to snap it in place and it works as good as new. The customer service is outstanding and if I ever need another cat door, I will order from them.

My window insert was custom-made from a drawing with measurements I made. I needed a top sash insert rather than the typical bottom sash, and a very large one, too. The insert was ready in a few days and fit perfectly. Easy to install. Payment was easy with PayPal. Owner was responsive via texting, which is so convenient these days. The cost was worth me not having to build it myself. The PVC board looks clean and simple and easy to clean. Most importantly, my cats are happy for access to their catio while keeping HVAC bills down. I recommend both a catio and this company to make your cats happy and safe.

This cat-door-in-a-window is amazing! We have a very large screened porch, which is the only “outside” experience for my indoor cats. They love it out there. To get out there, there’s a window we’d always leave cracked open. But of course that lets in cold air in the winter (until we got tired of hearing the heat run and then we’d shut it), and it let the air conditioned air out in the summer.My first thought was to install a pet door in my actual door that goes to the porch. But I don’t have the tools or the skills for that. Then I looked at replacing the door with one with a pre-installed pet door, and that was way too expensive!So then I found Cat Flap Fever. What a great idea!It’s very important that you measure the window very accurately, since your window insert is custom-made, so I was a little nervous about that. But Liz was very responsive and answered all my questions about measuring my window. By the time I had the measurements done, I was very confident they were right. And they were! When I received my unit, it fit like a glove. No cold air comes in, even though it’s been down to 15 degrees this winter.I went with a couple of the upgraded options, and I’m glad I did. I was afraid my larger cat wouldn’t be able to get through a 6” X 6” door, so I went with the bigger one. I also went with Plexiglas instead of wood. Since we live in the woods, I didn’t want to block my view of the trees.My window insert turned out lovely, After ordering, I was amazed at how fast it came (just a couple of weeks, from what I remember).It fits perfectly, and two of my three cats love it! I have a six-month-old kitten, and he took to it immediately. My five year old, it took her a couple of weeks (and a little bit of watching the kitten), but now she goes through it like a pro. In fact they chase each other through it (usually the kitten is in pursuit).My older cat (15) won’t use it, but she’s arthritic and not real agile anymore. I did put a stool on each side to help them, hoping the older cat would be able to get through with a stool, but she’s not having it. Two out of three isn’t bad!

I know other people have given good reviews, but it was a very expensive useless peice of plexiglass. It is just plexiglass with some foam buffers on the top and bottom, with a flap (that is way to high) in it for $300.00. It is nothing like the ones you buy for a sliding door.

The "window cat door" we ordered for our Murphy cat arrived yesterday right on time as scheduled. We had moved from FL to TN and the door in our new home would not accommodate a cat door as it was mostly glass. I was so happy to discover Cat Flap Fever could make a "window door" for us as I was getting tired of being Murphy's doorman. It was so easy to install and fit perfectly. Murphy took to using it right away and it has made my life so much easier and Murphy is thrilled to come and go as he pleases (although it does get locked at sunset after he is brought in and opened again at sunrise as there are coyotes in our area). I highly recommend this product and it was well worth the purchase price.

These are incredible! Superior product AND customer service. I bought one for my cat and needed a window insert, the fit is tight with weatherproofing, no drafts. And it looks great, we bought the plexiglass version so it wouldn't interfere with our view. Also bought the locks. My cat was actually using it after a few days. Contacted the seller several times, great response time, and provided tips to train my cat. Very helpful making sure my measurements were perfect and I would get exactly what I needed. I could not be more pleased.

I found this service to be excellent. Good communication and super helpful to have a company custom build a cat door for our window. Yes it will take a little longer to receive your product due to it being a small company but that’s the reality of a small business. They have to cut and build it to different specifications.

I have had a challenging experience with my order from Cat Flap Fever, but I take part of the blame as I ordered the wrong size window insert. When I realized my mistake though I contacted the company and had email correspondence with them as their voicemail was full but the original product I ordered (wrong size) was still sent out the next day. Then when the package got to Canada the courier company wanted $99 to broker through customs. I ended up going and self-brokering my package. To make a long story short I ended up with a refund of 1/3 of my original purchase (including shipping charges). I will say that Cat Flap Fever was friendly throughout but they weren't always easy to reach. I'll give them some benefit of the doubt and say that perhaps they are short staffed as many other companies are. I would recommend if you are planning an order to measure carefully as it may be hard to make changes and also self broker your own package if from Canada.

I was very excited to get a microchip cat door for my office window so my cat could have more freedom. Initially I had great customer service, but after placing my order at the beginning of November I heard nothing for a month. Finally I contacted them again and they said they needed confirmed measurements. I sent measurements again and photos of my window. When the cat flap arrived it was the wrong size for my window. The company did not respond when I texted them about this. I had the pane cut to the right size locally. On installing the cat flap I found it was terribly draughty. Also despite saying they stock SurePet microchip doors the one I received was from a different company. After emailing, texting, and calling (leaving a voicemail) to ask about returns (as the website states they will accept returns within 30 days for a re-stocking fee) I was eventually told that microchip cat doors are not eligible for returns.

I love our new cat flap, and so do our two cats. It's well-made and durable. Customer service is excellent. Elizabeth assisted me with the measurement so it was just right, and when I had an issue with installation, she was readily available via text and phone and went over and above to make sure I was happy with their product. We purchased this for our cat and we love it! It was easy to order and arrived very quickly. It was just as promised - easy installation and no tools required. Our cat, Luna is very very happy with her new cat door and subsequent newfound freedom! Liz from Cat Flap Fever Industries was meticulous and re-confirmed all of the measurements with me to ensure that it would fit snugly into our double hung window. In the middle of making our order, she noticed that the manufacturer of the plexiglass had sent her a piece with some minor damage, and so she was kind enough to show us the damage and offered to re-make it or give a discount. we ended up having her re-make it, since our cat door is going into a pretty visible window in our house. Customer service is great. We ordered the white vinyl base and it fit our double-paned window with just a little weatherstripping in front of the bottom track. Very secure and weatherproof. I ordered a rather expensive cat door for my xlarge cat and I texted the measurements to them as instructed, however, I was given a CatFlap that was wayyy longer than I had asked for. I am trying to return it and no one has gotten back to me. I've called everyday for the past week and I have left them 3 text messages. Still no reply. I'm just going to ship it back and if I don't get the correct one then I'll dispute the charges with my bank. This is very annoying.

You guys are awesome. The door fit perfectly in our window. One of our cats learned in/out within 24 hours! Timid kitty still has not tried as she rarely goes out.
