Understaffed and unhelpful. Every other time im there i leave my food in the cart and walk out because they have 2 cashiers and a line clear across the store for no reason and id rather not eat than wait on them. Its rediculous either staff your store or close it

I can honestly say that I will never go anywhere else to get my birthday or holiday cakes! I love this woman and let me say she knocked it out of the park!!! I mean I would have expected to pay upwards of $100 for this at a bakery. PLEASE GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS FOR ANY KIND OF CAKES DONT OVER PAY! She does impeccable work for a price we can all afford!!!

Would love to have the bakery manager look around at the price of hoagie buns fresh baked cause I stopped in thinking they would be comparable to Publix… to my surprise I saw a pack of 4 hoagie buns priced at 9.99. Surely it was priced wrong cause the description was vague and didn’t say hoagie. Took it to the front desk and questioned the accuracy of the price, “ yes, it’s says that so that’s the price.”Publix sells their pack of 4 for 3.99.Some unsuspecting person with a buggy full of groceries would have been ripped off.

Truly dislike going to this store. The ignorant way the registers are set up in the front never ceases to amaze. Leaving items.on one side of a candy rack while you are on the other might seem to work if you have a buggy however it makes no sense if you have one or two items that you are carrying up. There logic is to just set that bag of chips in the floor behind whoever buggy is in front of you and walk around and wait on cashier to pick it up out of the floor and ring it up. I literally pass this store on my way home from work everyday and I will drive to the Fort Oglethorpe Food City or the Smallmart instead if using this store.

Needs to be cleaned. Store is often out of items for long periods of time. There are some shady characters in this store and also a few hanging out near the front door. It's a whole different atmosphere just 4 miles away at The Food City in East Ridge but that's changing quickly.

They need more people!No shade to the staff whatsoever. They get in there and get customers out quickly and politely, but I can't help feeling terrible for all of them when the evening rush hits.I'm sure they're voicing their feelings to management as well, but let me be a consumer voice to throw in the ring as well. They need more people to jump in when there's so many customers!Aside from that, the store is always well stocked and clean, unlike Walmart and the like. I never have to wonder if the shelf will be bare where the item I need would normally be. They're always stocked, and everything looks neat and tidy!Get those cashiers some more help, tho. For real, they deserve it. All of them bust their butts!

The management here in the early afternoon was not very good at customer service. I was standing in line for 15 minutes and then a lady from the front office finally decided to open up another register, but doesn't tell anyone she was doing so. And that made a few people who were not in line for very long at all try to go in front of me to go check out, and I stopped them and took my rightful place in the front of them, so I could check out first bc I'd been waiting the longest. Then, the management lady was rude and I didn't appreciate the way she wasn't doing her job as a person who works in serving the public. She had shoulder length, dark brown, wavy hair and thick framed, rectangular glasses. She was maybe 55 or so, and I have never seen her before my visit yesterday afternoon. I feel like she should look into a different line of work for herself, bc she isn't right for working with people all day.

this is not about the store itself. to me, everything else seemed just fine and like every food city i have ever been to. this is just about the deli. so me and my father were just stopping by this store to get a few things and decided to get some sushi from the deli. i got the sriracha crunch roll, my dad got the veggie crunch roll. both look very similar at first glance. so we get home and look at the food and i notice that mine has more carrots than usual and that his has crab in it. they mislabeled the products. now neither of us are allergic to shellfish, but something like this could easily kill someone. if you buy sushi from this food city, CHECK WHAT’S IN IT!

I love, love, love Food City! Every time i visit this store (which is quite often) i have an enjoyable experience. A couple weeks ago, i was pushing my buggie back out to the car when a glass bottle of Worcestershire sauce fell out on the pavement and shattered. Well, i stopped to pick up the mess and the cart guy told me he would take care of it and not to worry, so i proceeded to load my trunk with my groceries and the cart guy walked up and handed me a bottle of Worcestershire to replace the one I had broken! How thoughtful was that?? Also, the stores are always clean and the produce is fresh and the prices are a bargain! I highly recommend Food City.

This store sucks. I came in on a sat at 730pm and they one employee in the store. Not one register just one employee no manager no baggers they should close this store down it's like this all the time

It is a nice store but didn't have the selection we needed. I like Food City but it isn't the best for the widest selection of produce.

The store is clean, and the shelves are well stocked. We were able to find the items we needed quickly, and there was no wait at self checkout. There was no portable scanner for items that could've been left in the cart. A portable scanner would've made checkout quicker for items like our drinks that didn't need to be bagged.

Over priced products like most places.If you buy 4 or more in order to get a decent price.I live on a semi and deliver goods for a living and we are a third of a jail cell.Where are we to put all that product.

I'm adding this detail to my review from a year ago that just happened. Stacey in customer service went out of her way to show me how to do something I wasn't familiar with and was very friendly about it. It's not too often when someone goes the extra mile with such great customer service. It was very much appreciated.

This store smelled like smoke. It was extremely nasty inside. The management stood at the front of the counters and watched their checkout. People struggling to get the people checked out and didn't bother to do anything. All they did was stand there and talk and cut up amongst themselves. I'll never go back into this store again

The excellent customer service I received earned them 5 stars from me. This particular store is located within 5 minutes of my office in Chattanooga so I frequent this location on my lunch. Today I stopped in for a sandwich and was waiting in line behind a few other customers. The lady at the service desk noticed me and called me over to ring me up so I didn’t have to wait long. A huge thank you from me to you!

They have a small bakery, a deli, sell lottery & beer & give more cash back on your cards than most places. You can pay local bills at customer service. However Pharmacy staff was rude and definitely Not helpful.

Since they've redone this location it's so much nicer and so much more cleaned up. They cashiers are friendly, but they don't really ask if u need help with carrying things to your car or seeing I you need anything. Most of them are younger, which I understand not everyone knows how to communicate with people and some people are shy. Especially on their first jobs but they should be taught to be more open and have Bette eye contact and better acknowledgment of what their customers need. They do have alot of items, and their deli seems to have a great cook, everything is fresh, and delicious. I must say, I do believe some things are priced ridiculously way to high, but then you have to say, y'all have the best go to deals! :)

I love it there. Everyone has great attitude most of the time. Everyone knows just about where every thing is that you need. Customer service is fast and easy. Manger and sales and service is great. I love getting fresh cooked and warm food. Police patrols regularly so don't park where is says no parking. Only if someone is in the driver's seat or you'll get a $250 parking violation. They're all the same. Well OK that's enough for me.

1) Trucks come on Thursdays.2) The music at this location is awesome. It's the only place I can shop at with music that doesn't make me grit my teeth in pain the entire time. Whoever chose the music here deserves to get an award!3) Update: the last time I was here, the music was awful. Someone changed it.4) I would be shopping today (& incidentally could see if the good music was back again), but they are closed (10:45 pm). Apparently they started closing early at 10 pm, which is a bad thing, since I like to shop at night.Also no one bothered to change the hours on Google Map.
