I had lunch at Bistro South inside of Johns Supermarket. They have blue plate specials among other things on a extensive menu. They also serve breakfast. Their home made biscuit was excellent. The prices are good and if you check in on your FB page and show them you get your drink free. The pimento cheese fries were so good. Huge serving so enough to share. Eat local. Support local.

The prices were extremely expensive. The store was beautiful inside and out. Some of the employees were friendly, and some were not. It was nice to see that they have a restaurant inside if you would like to order food.

Wish they had more items and a bigger parking lot but they have good prices and sales on meat. They are a little pricey but the stuff they have some of it is worth it and it is nice they have a great HUMAN staff not self checkout!! It is a great and safe place to shop or you can even eat inside with some really good food at the deli. No matter what you decide give it a try!! You can't go wrong!

This is such an awesome place! Have eaten at their Bistro previously and loved it. This time I went through the grocery section. So enjoyable just to walk around! They also have small carts for children and that was such fun to see. Got their Brown sugar BBQ, Mustard Potato salad and rainbow gelatin parfait in the plastic mold, all of which made for a FANTASTIC dinner. We'll definitely be back! Well worth the trip from Conyers!

I was driving to pick up my son from the event that was happening near by when I noticed John's Supermarket. I do not live in the area and I am not familiar with this supermarket. It was 9:15PM. I stopped by out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised how clean and well stocked was this store. It was fifteen minutes before closing and employees were nice. I didn't plan to buy anything. I just wanted to check what they sell. I was shocked by the prices of the meat. I bought package of pork (3.6lb) that cost me $8.24. Even though I live an hour away I can't wait to come back and spend more time (and money :) ) at this store. Five minutes was not enough to go through the store and see everything I wanted to see.

Great place. Love keeping it local. I forgot my wallet at home. The girl checking me out let me cashapp her the money, and she paid for it. That would never happen at a chain store.

Great local market with their own restaurant inside at the deli. The best meat department! Lots of specialty items...old fashioned and handmade candies, deli foods, bakery cakes and treats, their own jarred spice mixes, etc. Lots of small business-made canned goods - pickles, jams, preserves, veggies, and sauces.

Beware of the meat! We recently bought chicken leg quarters and did not let them sit around. The next day, we started to open the package to separate and freeze and they smelled horrible. They may have good prices on meat but the quality is not great. Other items are a bit pricey but they have a lot of unique items you don't find in most smaller grocery stores.

I was just a John's, a really nice lady named Nina helped me. I have a rollator and need help, being an independent woman it is hard to ask for help. She helped me get my groceries in the front seat of my car and took the motorized cart back in for me. I am very thankful for people like her.

Stupid! Actually went to eat in the restaurant, which was Excellent, then went grocery shopping with my Wife. Again, Stupid! Probably Best Meat selection in all of Walton County! Needless to say I'm now a Regular!

Quaint little grocery store. Lots of local desserts, spices, seasoning ect.. meats looked amazing and very good prices. You can get pretty much everything you can at a major chains store. There is also a restaurant inside. I didn't eat but it looked and smelled great.

I’ve been shopping here since 1987 and Greg has always kept the store well staffed, stocked and relevant. Bistro is fantastic and of coarse the best meat in North Georgia !

It's true... They have the best meat in town. The best meat in the county I'll wager. I stopped in on my sister's recommendation, and picked up some steak. The label said "utility ribeye," but this was as good as any steak I have ever tasted.

This is a great place to go to stock your freezer with meat! High quality meats, well cut, and best prices anywhere. We drive from Monticello to Monroe about every 6 weeks just for the meat. They also have a surprising selection of craft beers in stock and chilled! Small town treasure!

Renovations are nice would like to see wipes to clean buggies with. When i asked about this at checkout the lady not only became short with us she blatantly lied saying they cleaned the buggies between uses, and as she was saying this another cashier was pushing a buggy that was just used in front of us back into the line for use.Why lie? We enjoyed your store, but would appreciate some wipes.. And please speak with your cashiers about honesty

It's a bit overpriced in the shopping section, but that's to be expected if it's not a chain supermarket. That's fine, plus it's high quality. The restaurant inside is delicious, but both times my family and I have eaten there it made all of us sick. Either a stomach bug or some sort of food poisoning. At first I thought it was a coincidence, but it happened the second time, too.

I love John's. Some of thier prices might be a little more. But it's so clean and the employees are so attentive and courteous. The Bistro South is delicious I could eat there every day.

I am trying to understand the high ratings, I experienced a RACIST asst., manager, so-called fresh veggies were wrinkled & NOT FRESH at all, don’t even try to get assistance from that asst., manager (WITH THE RED BEARD), he has NO customer service skills, he does not like BLACKS, PERIOD!!!! I will starve to death before I ever step foot into that waaaaaaaaaay over priced store again, yes it’s a nice looking building inside/outside but that’s where it ends!!!!! I know it’s a little hick store and town but this is 2022 not 1952 and we have other options and ways to shop!!!!! THIS PLACE IS AWLFUL, AWLFUL, AWLFUL!!!!! I wish Walmart would build a store in back of them!!!!

Great small town supermarket. The meat selection is wonderful. They have really good cuts of meat. The store is always clean and well stocked. The help is friendly. The only reason for the 4 star and not 5 is stuff can be pricey. We only shop there for the meat. They also have good watermelons better than Wal-Mart. I recommend them for a quick in and out or if you need good meat.
