We’ve going there more than 2 years since we moved to the town. I found them on Google and wanted try them. I am glad I did. I have 4 rescue dogs (I know we are crazy) getting groomed regularly.They are great! All the groomers do a great job! And the owner is very friendly.

Impossible to make an appointment. Have called several times and left voicemails and no one returns the call. I was only successful once for a nail trim and my dog was out in less than 5 minutes. The nails were cut, but not filed. Not worth it.

First-timer here. I have tried at least five groomers in and around Woodstock looking for the perfect miniature schnauzer expert. Now I feel like I have finally found what I've been looking for! JP did an awesome job, very neat and even. Melody's beard was cut too short by the previous groomer but JP will work on the right shape as it grows out. I asked him to let her eyelashes grow long (after all, she's a girl!) while still keeping her eyebrows orderly, and he did. I asked for a short cut with a medium-ish skirt, and she is exactly as I asked. So happy! And, the dogs are allowed to roam around inside the grooming area together, so they don't have to be locked into cages while waiting for their baths and grooming times. There are enclosures on hand if needed for puppies or a particularly rambunctious dog but overall, this is one of the best aspects of this place. JPs Top Dog really makes grooming time the best possible experience for the dogs. Thank you!

I can not begin to explain how wonderful this place is! We took one of our pups here a few weeks back for a de shedding treatment to try them out and brought both of my dogs back there today because we were so happy with them. Both times the staff was absolutely wonderful from the second I walked in with the kiddos. My pups were both way over due for a good brushing and they did a phenomenal job, which is not an easy task with their long husky hair and under coats. Now both pups are completely brushed out and look amazing. I also think the pricing for the service was completely reasonable, which is a huge plus to me. On top of the welcoming staff, incredible service and pricing they also don’t keep the dogs locked in a crate when they aren’t being groomed which I think is great for the pups. Luna and Loki will definitely be going back here regularly now, I am so happy we found this place!

They are absolutely horrible. They have shade my doodle beind recognition. When i pick him up they said oohhh he is changing baby to grow dog hair so we could not do nothing but shaved. My dog is suffering now beacouse he ichted so much...the funny thing is that i was just there in april so what less then 3 months ago....so he could not possibly be so bad that they made decision to shave the poor dog of mine. I think they have so much people that they simply dont care and shaving was the easy way.I will not be coming back to this place for sure. i attached photo now and before see what they have done to my poor dog !

Brought my husky for grooming here. He was there for 5 hours but they did a fantastic job with him. Almost all of his undercoat is gone and they paid attention to all the little details without us even mentioning it. To top it all he didn’t have to stay in a cage and hung out with other dogs. We will definitely be back

This is the only place I feel comfortable leaving my Molly. They love the animals as much as you do and let them hang out together instead of being caged while waiting. Molly has such a good time and looks perfect after! I’ll be a customer for life!

Unfortunately, I was told JP sold his business and is now a full time dog show groomer. I would DRIVE MILES or HOURS so that he can groom my dog! I had standing monthly appointments for more than a year and my dog looked forward to his grooming dates like a doggie play date! JP was a BEAST, a professional and the best groomer - hands down. After 4 conversations telephonically and in person, the new owners and her entourage explained profusely she was NOT as skilled as JP to ONLY scissor cut my dog’s leg and that it would take 5 hours just to cut his legs. I asked them NOT TO TOUCH/CUT my dog’s legs during EVERY discussion. However, my dog’s legs were cut against my wishes - even tho I still paid for a full groom. After evaluating further, his left eyelashes were cut as well. This was the second time my dog was groomed by the new owner and the LAST. Not only did she make small talk with me for the first time when I picked him up, but she smiled, complimented me on his care and I tipped her. She still didn’t have the courtesy/decency to tell me what she did or even attempt to blend - what I assume she calls NOT touching his legs AS SHE AGREED on 4 occasions. I didn’t notice anything until I got home a few hours later for his daily care. When I called the next day to discuss, she apologized but would not explain why she took it upon herself to cut his legs when I asked her several times not to touch his legs! I asked her for a refund and she said she would only refund my tip. She asked me to bring him in again so she can fix it and I immediately declined and said he would NEVER return. After I asked for a full refund again she said no. I told her I would call the bank to file a dispute. The owner began to scream in the phone, apologized again, stated I’m not getting my money back, that she was calling the police and she immediately hung up. I called the bank to file a dispute and called the groomer back and spoke to the co-owner (didn’t know she was, but she’s been there since my dog’s first groom with JP). I thanked her for her professionalism and for always being courteous and friendly. I told her I would provide my address for them to send the police because I didn’t raise my voice and only asked for a refund and the reason she didn’t follow through with my request. After discussing my frustration, and not receiving the services I requested (she’s always been there during drop off) she stated the no refund policy. She complimented me on the care of my dog and after further discussion, she stated she would provide a full refund. I thanked her again and called the bank to reverse the dispute. This was my worst experience ever with a groomer!

I was on the schedule for over a month. Called to get an earlier appointment the (dogs were stinky), was told if I could come at the end of the day (that day) she would fit them in. I told her I’d try but, 3pm was hard for my work schedule.She said .. no problem we will keep your original appointment if you can’t make it.I couldn’t make it, work had me held up.Fast forward to the day of the appointment we waited for over a month and she says my dogs aren’t on the schedule and they are booked. She even told me we were a “no show”.. wait, what?? Now we have to wait another month as other groomers in the area are booked. I don’t care how awesome their grooming is.. it’s not worth it. Two dirty dogs that will have to wait almost three months for a groom?We will take our business to someone who will honor their word and can keep a schedule. It’s not the end of the world but, it sure is frustrating.

JP did a wonderful job grooming my pomeranian. I only wanted him to trim my pup up and get any knots out of his fur, and he did exactly that. My dog looked beautiful and it was exactly what I wanted (I like his fur in the traditional pom shape)- seriously, he looked perfect.We will definitely be coming back! Prices are very reasonable in my opinion considering the amazing job he does. I paid almost the same amount at another groomer for not nearly as great as a cut. Thanks Jp!!

I cannot thank JP and his team enough! I have an old rescue spaniel who had a long history of neglect before I adopted her, so we'd been grooming her at home for a year before we reached the point that we desperately needed a professional groomer. My dog is deaf and partially blind, and it makes her very nervous of new environments. She is terrified of the vet, pet stores, etc. I know that JP and his staff took such good care of my dog, because when we came to pick her up, she was calm and not nervous at all. She also loves her summer haircut and has had so much energy since her visit to JP's. We will absolutely be back!

I used to go here every time my dog needed a cut. One day, after her appointment, I noticed that one of her eye was half closed, but I brushed it off thinking that maybe some fur just got into her eye, and she'll blink it out eventually.After a week, I got worried and took her to the vet. She has a deep cut in her cornea and has to take all kinds of medication and maybe might need surgery because the cut got infected.I am 99% sure the groomer accidentally cut my dog's eye with scissors, but the groomer doesn't remember any incident like that. If you made a mistake, own up to it. Not coming back here again.

We love Jp’s Top Dog. I really agonized over choosing a groomer. I’ve never had a dog that required grooming before our Goldendoodle puppy. I researched for literally months and read tons of reviews of groomers all over Atlanta. None of them felt like a place I could count on to take excellent care of our fur baby. Finally, I found Jp’s. I took Honey for her second groom today and just like the first time Jana exceeded my expectations. When I took Honey in two months ago I was a little bit nervous but it became clear right away Jana knows what she’s doing. Honey feels silky soft, her haircut is precious and she has an absolute blast at the groomer. She drags me in there just like it were doggy daycare. Everyone that works there is very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I love that they don’t cage the dogs and they get to play. The prices are extremely fair and worth every penny. I drive 8 miles each way to Jp’s and honestly I would drive double. They are that good. Thanks so much Jp’s! Honey looks forward to seeing you next time!

Super friendly staff that went out of their way to accommodate me. We were new to the area and found them on Google. It’s hard to find a groomer to perfectly groom a Golden Doodle. Everywhere else she’s been made her look like a Poodle but this place groomed My Bella like she supposed to be. She actually LOOKS like her breed-black Golden Doodle. ! I am happy with them. ❤️

SO IMPRESSED. Today was my first time bring a dog to JP's Top Dog. I've always avoided bringing in my rescue dog to a groomer in the past, because he's a nervous boy. I've been cutting his nails and trying to shave him down myself and with the help of my family for the past few years. Boy was I doing it all wrong. I brought in my Rupert after feeling overwhelmed by his long nails that I never could manage. He deserved better than what I had been able to give him and JP's was ready to fix it! His haircut is beautiful, his nails are the best I've ever seen and his ears are spotless! Also, I'd never really thought I'd say this, but Rupert smells so good! We were told that because of his nervousness, they took their time as to not upset him. Their special attention and careful work on my boy has completely won me over. We will be back!
