Food was very good. Had the Burger with gluten free bun. Lyonnaise potatoes delicious. Nice view outside. Comfortable seating. Service was ok. Waitress said she didn't think the chef had decided on the sandwich of the day yet except they opened at noon and we were there at 2. Had to say, could ya check?Dietary restrictions: Respected gluten free.

The food was fine but the service was the worst I’ve ever seen, it took us (a family of 4) two hours to receive our breakfast order and only half of it arrived, and the other half came 45 minutes later, the restaurant had maybe three other customers so I’m not sure what happened with that. We had to repeatedly get up and walk around the restaurant to find someone to help us when we wanted more coffee and to know where our order was. We made the mistake of giving them a second chance and came for dinner a few days later. At dinner it also took two hours to receive our order and they forgot one of our entrees and NEVER BROUGHT IT OUT. When we asked if it was coming they said no and that it was ok because they would take it off the bill. They tried to solve the issue by putting one of the entrees in between two people and suggesting they share.

While the atmosphere was great and our bartender and drinks were phenomenal, the food was unexpectedly just meh.. not impressive and for the prices they charge we expected much better quality food. Especially since we waited a pretty long time for it to come out, My shrimp in my grits was way over cooked and chewy, the gravy it came in was just very salty and frankly not good, my bfs burger was under cooked and my mom's grilled fish was very tiny and over cooked as well and her koos koos was not done, the buk choy was also not great. In fact my favorite thing out of our meal was the pretzel with the 3 sauces it came with.

My wife and I enjoyed a cool crisp house salad, the Blackened Grouper, Vegetable Cous Cous, and Garlic Baby Bok Choy. Overall, the meal was very flavorful. The fish and accompaniments were substantial. Being that the fish was somewhat of a thicker cut, it could have been cooked just a bit more, but it was delicious nonetheless. We’re looking forward to trying out other menu items when we’re on Jekyll Island again.

While on Jekyll last week, I ate at this restaurant 3 times. The only reason I went was because it was super convenient to our hotel, and I had no car since hubby was on a golf course. The first lunch was chicken tenders. Very dry and could only eat half of each piece. The second meal was only an order of roasted brussel sprouts and bay fries. The food was good this time but it took 35 minutes to get my food and I was the first person seated for lunch that day. The third time was the worst! I ordered a chef salad to go. I took it back to the pool at the hotel to eat. The lettuce was covered in a black slime from rotten pieces of lettuce in the mix. The salad was $17 + change. I could only eat the cheese, meats, veggies and boiled egg on top. I will not go back there. So disgusting and disappointed.

Ehhh. I ordered takeout, food was decent, service was horrible. I had the fish and chips with a side of Mac and cheese. I was apprehensive with the fish because they arrived looking like egg rolls, but were surprisingly tasty. The fries were good but the Mac and cheese was awful. It was an oily mess. After taking a few bites of the Mac and cheese, I poured it out on my plate and there was about a tablespoon of oil at the bottom of the container. The coleslaw was oddly sweet but ultimately not too bad. The service was horrendous. I arrived 20 minutes after ordering, as instructed on the phone. There was nobody at the hostess stand for over 10 minutes. I walked around, there were exactly 4 patrons in the dinning room. The waitress walked past me 3 times as I stood at the hostess stand and offered no help. I walked around looking for help. The bartender went to the back to get the hostess but at that point, the waitress saw my obvious annoyance and helped me check out. Options are limited on the island, but I’m positive I won’t be back.

My wife and I had dinner with our grandson the other night and it was very nice out on the patio area even though it was raining outside. Cool breeze while we enjoyed our dinner. We had a BIG pizza that 3 people could have shared that was really delicious. Kids meal portions are also pretty big for the little ones. The wife had the BBQ sandwich with slaw and we had great service from Roddy. 5 stars for the Beach House Team!

I had high hopes for a simple burger and a beer, but my experience was a letdown. The burger was a major disappointment - it was tasteless and slapped together with a soggy bun. How hard can it be to make a decent burger? I won't rate the fries, let's just say I didn't finish them. I was also looking forward to trying a good beer, but there was no beer list, and the waitress had no knowledge of the available beers. According to their menu, you have to get up from your table, go inside, take a picture of the beer menu, and then return to your table to make your choice from your photo. This is a tap room, right? Is printer paper too expensive and in short supply? I understand it takes some effort to maintain an updated list, but this just seemed lazy. The beer finally arrived, and while it tasted good, it was flat. I tried a different beer, and it was flat too. I was told it's an "ez pour system," which explained the lack of head, it wasn't just the lack of head, the beer was just lifeless. To make matters worse, the pints were priced at $12 each – an unusually high price for a pint!I must give credit to the waitress for trying her best. She did remove the burger and beers from our bill, for which I'm grateful. We were a party of 4, and judging from the other meals served, none of which resembled the pictures in other reviews. They looked like slop with toast. I didn't taste them, but others in our group were not impressed either and didn't finish their meals. In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend this establishment. I suggest spending your hard-earned money elsewhere for a better dining experience.

First let me say that I have never been to a restaurant that you could not order a side salad with your meal. I am a person who will pay extra for a side salad if I have to so that was a big disappointment for me. Okay, my friend ordered the friend shrimp, mac and cheese and potatoes. I ordered prime rib, potatoes and greens My first question is where are the potatoes? I found one piece of potato. The rest of it was like burned crispy potato skins. NO Potatoes any where. The greens had a ton of vinegar and the mac and cheese was dried and looked like left over from the rest of the week. Good thing was the fried shrimp and prime rib was actually pretty good. Our waitress was nice and attentive and the hostess was a sweet heart. PLEASE WORK ON THE SIDES. You would gotten a 5 star review otherwise. We'll give it one more try and see if anything changes.

You had me at Tap Room. You lost me when I saw the beer prices! The good: The staff was nice and the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The bad: Beer pints were priced at $10-$12 each. I learned this from having to leave my table to go over to look at the tap list on a chalk board wall. The wait staff didn't carry a beer list. We ordered a pizza. The taste, texture and perfectly round, machine cut edge was unlike any I have had in a pizza restaurant. It was exactly like what I have had at home from the freezer. The fact that it is only offered in one size is also a clue. We ate half and left the rest. This is probably the first time we have left pizza instead of taking it home. The icing on the cake came when we saw the bill and noticed my watered down iced tea was $5.00!No wonder this place has one of the lowest Google ratings on the island.

Our 1st time eating here this evening & THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!! Definitely good service from our friendly waitress Anna. Wanted to try the place since we could just walk to it from our hotel,"The Holiday Inn Resort". Nice to sit outside & enjoy the food with screening to keep the bugs away as well especially in the evening or night with the good lightening that comes on. Food was pricey but was definitely worth it since enjoyed it so much especially the Steak, Fish, & our friendly waitress we had. The Fried Calamari was delicious, the Steak was cooked perfectly with good fat on it, & the Fish tasted awesome in the thick batter it was dipped in. Definitely would eat here again whenever staying on Jekyll Island

Good location but not a lot of options, especially not much seafood options for a place on the beach. The food was okay but overpriced. My husband said he did like the fried oysters. The grilled grouper was okay but over seasoned making it taste too salty. The vegetables also had too much seasoning/salt, making them hard to finish. Among us we also had a burger, pretzel, fries, and chicken tender all of which were just okay. Our server was really nice and the place was very clean.

My husband and I had dinner here and it was fantastic! First, our server… Celeste. She was the BEST sever we’ve had in a very long time. She was so friendly and checked on us constantly. I can’t say enough good things about how great she made the experience! The location is right on the ocean and we sat outside on the screened in porch. Next the food… it was delicious! Get the appetizer pretzel! I had the prime rib sandwich and my husband had the chicken for our main dishes. Both excellent! Oh, and get a strawberry shortcake frozen drink! Our best meal on the island (after almost 2 weeks) and it’ll be pretty hard to top the service we received from Celeste!

Me and my family dined here recently. Let's get the bad out of the way first. The wait time for our food to arrive was extremely long. We had the usual breakfast staples, eggs, bacon, waffles, etc. It was clear they were understaffed. Our server remained polite throughout the experience, and that helped ease the situation. Once our food arrived (nearly 45 minutes later), it was excellent. I would still recommend this place for breakfast. Just be prepared for a longer than normal wait time.

Love the Atmosphere, Gluten-free options are available and very delicious, the only issue was our server she acted like she didn't want to be there and made us uncomfortable and hesitant to ask if an item was Gluten-free.. We were there just before the dinner rush for Thursday night. We decided to order a light dinner to keep it easy.

We ate here a few times. Brittany is the best server. She loves people and dogs. If she isn't there, service is sometimes very slow or nonexistent. This is the most convenient restaurant for the beachview club hotel and Holiday Inn. The food is good. Some prices are very high so be aware. $9 extra for a generic bottom shelf floater shot in a super weak mixed drink? Insanity. But I'm giving 5 stars because Brittany proves this place can be much better than it currently is. It needs a full staff of caring people.

The food is awful. Don’t waste your money. I ordered the beach house boil, which comes with crab legs and costs $55. When I got my plate it had one cluster with three legs attacked and two missing…which I complained about. When I tasted the crab legs it got even worse. They were gooey and had a very foul rotten taste, instantly repulsed! I couldn’t finish my meal after this. The plate was taken off our bill but dinner was ruined for me tonight.

We arrived at about 7 pm. We were greeted promptly and served drinks. My wife is on a special diet because of a severe illness. They had fried shrimp on the menu, but the waitress said they could do grilled. She also got a side of broccoli and collard greens. The food took over an hour to get to us, because they were “waiting on the shrimp.” Of everything we ordered, grilled shrimp should take only about a minute to cook. When we got the order, her shrimp was way over cooked and rubbery, and the sides were in tiny 4oz cups. Her dish was $32. In order to make her dinner more palatable, she asked for some drawn butter. The butter took over 15 minutes to get to the table. My son’s burger was dry. My food, a fried oyster plate, and my daughter’s pasta were okay, but way over priced for the quality. Very disappointing experience. I don’t recommend.

My husband and I have eaten here several times in the past few years. This visit was absolutely very disappointing. The menu has changed. There are very few options to choose from, and the prices have risen. The food was good tasting, and the service was lacking. Our waitress did not ask if we wanted water. When taking our order, she did not ask what side or sauces we wanted for our chicken fingers. When our food was delivered, it came with honey musturd, I asked for BBQ. When our waitress went to get it. Another waitress came by and took our honey mustard, which my husband would have used for his chicken fingers.Needless to say, we will not be back.

Wasn't able to get food, but we tried grabbing a drink at the bar. We take some open seats that were not up, but the bartender said we couldn't sit there since it was in the way of the dishwasher. Cool, she directs us to the other side of the bar to grab drinks. Two seats open up, I'm in a party of 5. So two of us take those seats. I go to the area where she told me to go grab a drink. The only thing I'm wantikg at this point is a menu, but the bartender would not give myself or the rest of my party the time of day. We sit there waiting for 15ish minutes, and I'm chilling at the area of the bar where she told me to go, and she scolds me to not lean there, very rudely.I typically do not leave reviews as I understand places are understaffed and can be chaotic at times, but the attitude of this bartender was inexcusable enough to warrant drafting this negative review. Although I have no personal idea on how the drinks or food taste due to the horrendous service. I cannot recommend this place as a result, unless the service of this place improves, you’ll be subjected to rude services where you can’t even grab a menu, let alone a drink.

The food was decent. The portion sizes were acceptable. The chicken tenders and bay fries were remarkable. $5.00 for a (non-alcoholic) sweet tea was steep however.Update 2: Excellent service and delicious food.
