Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I have only visited this location twice. The first time the cashier got mad at me when I told her she had accidentally rang up my chicken with the person in front of me food, she told me I should have separated it and threw the (leaking) package of raw chicken onto my child's hot wheels i was buying him. Fast forward to yesterday, a few months after my first initial terrible visit. I ordered a birthday cake only to pick it up and it not being what I ordered. It looked like a child created the cake. I stressed my disappointment and was told she could make me a new one in 15 minutes. After we went back and forth about what I had actually ordered, I agreed and had to wait in store for 1 hours and 13 minutes for my new cake. Then I was offered 50% off said cake and when I got to checkout it was priced as 11.99, the original was 16.99. Will not be back!

Decent store. Nice employees. The store has a good variety of item that some other store don't carry. I had an issue with the register checking out. I was helped within a few seconds.

The store doesn’t have actual cashiers they just use self checkouts. Please bring back the actual cashiers. We like human interaction not a computer interaction. If you bring back the cashiers I’ll change my rating.

Unprofessional not all staff. The staff should have a meeting on customer service skills because it is very poor. When u walk in most of the time they do not welcome and/or thank customers for coming, some don’t even say “have a good day”. The Kroger gas station staff are very professional. It’s only one guy that’s always looking like he don’t wanna do his job. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Jada was working hard tonight! She made sure I was taken care even being the only person doing the grocery orders! I could tell she was moving, hard worker! Thanks Jada!

This is definitely an old store, but I will say for it's age they keep it clean. Overall it feels cramped (I know there isn't much they can do about that) the layout is quite confusing until you shop there a few times; the flow just seems really off. Also, the store seems to be run on a skeleton crew, especially the front end. I have only ever seen two registers open at once (plus the self checkout that is always backed up). I love Kroger and I keep going, but hopefully one day, Hinesville gets a new one.

I will never again shopp at Kroger as long as I live. Today, I was racially profiled at the self-check out.I had my phone in my hand and the clerk check my phone and searched all my bags. I was so embarrassed during this process. The clerk just look thru all my scanned item randomly, not really looking for any specific item(s). Very unprofessional act taken today (Nov 25, 2023). I know review along with many other complaints will not get noticed and these actions will continue, I just wanted to add to the record that Kroger in Hinesville will racially profile people of color.

We recently neglected grocery shopping for a few weeks since we were out of town, and pleasantly I had a wonderful experience I had to share! The dream team that helped my family along our shopping escapade consisted of Alijah, Jerome, and Tristan. Together this team of varying ages and roles we would go through the register on a busy Wednesday afternoon with ease and over $600 cart. I began to notice the differences immediately from this experience and others when I was unloading my cart to checkout and Jerome had already retrieved another cart for us to load because he knew the counter space would overcrowd quickly. I noticed new information regarding points which Alijah addressed for me at the end of checkout and was very thorough and attentive to the checkout process. Jerome would assist our lanes baggage and cart control for the building. With all the other people and moving pieces it was pleasant to see everyone working cohesively to the end result and an expedient, efficient, customer friendly checkout. Thank you Kroger if Hinesville and especially the dream team that assisted us today! Due to the attention of the staff the bagged items all survived loading and transport which is just another thing that set you apart from many other experiences our family of 5 sometimes experiences when shopping.

Best grocery store in town. With membership card you get food and gas discounts based on purchase history. Never as crowded as Walmart.

It's so dysfunctional. Even when there are many customers waiting, only one checkout counter is always open... Most of the employees are friendly and helpful.

This Kroger has a small and limited selection. The staff is unknowledgable and rude. If you have any dietary restrictions, this Kroger will never fail to let you down. EDIT: THIS STORE NO LONGER CARRIES ANY KOSHER OR HALAL FOODS. It's worth driving to Richmond Hill to shop at the Kroger there and avoid this one.

Julia from de Deli department is the most rude employee I ever experienced. She is not only rude to customers but also her own coworkers. Julia need ASAP a training in customer service and also in kindness.

The shelves were definitely not stocked. It was not a lot to choose from. They need to add hand scanners to self checkout.

Love Krogers but don’t call trying to get information. Call 9am in to reach the frozen food department to find out they had an item in stock and was put on hold and it kept ringing back to this lady and I finally told her that I just wanted to know if something is in stock so I won’t have to drive 30 minutes for nothing. She kept saying something about an hour and she don’t know if anybody be there in an hour and I did not ask her that. She said it enough that I just say forget about it and hung up. They couldn’t be that busy 9 AM in the morning that they couldn’t get someone to check for me. If they was stocking , it would’ve been a good time for somebody that could easily check. I don’t know. Customer service these days just stinks.

When visiting family this store is the closest. We were in town a few weeks ago, and i ndecided that others should know about my experiences. The store is always nice and clean and decently stocked. During these hard times they remain open and their staff is great. A few months ago I had a bad experience at the customer service counter the woman was rude and short with me for no reason. I was dreading having to go back to the rude manager lady that helped me last time. I get in line and I wait, hoping to get someone new. This time I get Marisa. She was so great! She answered my questions and helped me quickly. Even though they were slammed with people getting food she was nice and kind. It really made up for the last time I was in the store. She is the kind of worker that all stores should have.

I've been going here for quite some time and the service, store appearance and employee attitude has gone way down. The store is cramped and dirty. The bathrooms are disgusting. They remodeled but still are a mess. No one wants to clean. No manager makes them. The parking lot is filthy, entrance is filthy. Most employees are young and not well trained. I had cashier this past Monday night that was on his cell phone when I approached the counter. Are you serious? I think his name was Artdarius..or close to that. He didn't say anything, just beeped my stuff, told me the total and said "here" when get handed my receipt. No thank you, no drop dead nothing. He left my bags right on the belt where I had to reach way over and get them. You can't hand someone their bags? He needs to be unemployed as well as manager for letting these folks be on cell phones during work. I will not go back to this store. I have money to spend but will take it to the Neighborhood Walmart by DQ. Much nicer staff, cleaner, better stocked especially the produce. This Kroger needs to be bulldozed and made into a Publix....

I would rather die than to shop here again. The service feels like it doesn't exist at this store. Like if you have a person that disrespects your customers working at the head of the store. You might as well just shut the store down. GOT FREAKING YELL AT FOR SOMETHING SHE CAN SAY NICELY. I REALLY WANT TO PUNCH HER IN THE FACE!😡🤬

I’ll start by saying I generally have a really good experience with grocery pickup. The employees have always been friendly and the wait time is MUCH quicker than Walmart. I’m usually only there 10 minutes or less. I greatly appreciate that as I typically have crazy children in the car with me.My only complaints would be I’ve bought some bakery stuff that molded way too soon and the inside rarely has enough registers open. That being said, I know businesses are struggling to hire people these days so that might be the issues. All in all I really like Kroger and would recommend shopping there, they often have some pretty good sales/coupons as a bonus!

I am only able to tell my experience at the HINESVILLE Kroger. I have lived in hinesville since 89 and have shopped at Kroger since they opened here in hinesville. I have always had a pleasant experience. Today 10/10/2022- I did my normal shopping. I got to the counter and my Sara Lee honey wheat bread was not the price stated in the back, a dollar difference. The lady at the register went to the Hispanic manager and ask was the bread, this price, she checked the only sign that was up that clearly stated Sara Lee honey wheat bread sale price. She checked with Steve that was store manager on duty as I’m standing there. He proceeded to behave in such a rude manner over bread. So I left all my groceries and went to Walmart. Whatever has happened to customer service and people? If I don’t like the job I do I find another but I’m surely not going to treat people any way that I don’t want to be treated. I hope Steve can find him a job that doesn’t require he deal with people.

I went to order a cake and some food trays. I had to go summons assistance. When the lady came to help me. I realized that it was the same lady that looked at me as I stood there awaiting someone to assist me prior to asking the guys who were making sushi for help. While she wasn't disrespectful, she didn't look or act friendly or even in the mood to assist me. The ONLY reason I made the order is because for the date that I need the order, time constraints doesn't allow for me to drive to the next city with a Kroger. Further, she stated that because the cake decorator was gone for the day, she would not be able to take my order for the cake. It was around 3:45 pm. Most people aren't even off of work that time of day. The fact that one person pretty much dictates a big company such as Kroger not being able to simply take an order for a cake speaks VOLUMES. Some suggestions... get a bell for customers to ding for assistance, train employees on customer service, and perhaps put up a sign when the cake decorator is gone for the day and the unavailability of not being able to take an order. That way your customers aren't standing there for absolutely nothing.

This store is great, even with a multitude of shoppers it's never over run. There's a fresh sushi bar, sushi is made in store and is incredible. Deli, bakery, fresh produce, pharmacy, etc. Staff is full of warmth and smiles, thank you miss Kelly. Store is spotless and well organized. They also have recycling for plastic bags if used.

We like shopping there, but their sale items can be frustrating. This weekekend, for example, the Friday/ Saturday only sales were picked over by mid-day on Friday, some items were completely out of stock, and they won't give you a rain check for the Fri/Sat items either. In typical retail fashion, they put these fantastic deals out in the weekly flyers, then only order in and display very, very limited quantities, just to lure people into the store so you get frustrated and buy a more expensive item.

Online pickup is the worst. I waited in my car over 30 minutes before anyone came out. I called the direct number 9 times and no one answered the phone. I finally called the main line and spoke with a manager just to be told my order was lost. He offered to redo my order but I opted for a refund instead. Kroger please higher more help. I could have gone in the store and picked up my items quicker than this.

Don't get gas at the Hinesville Kroger Gas Station. They put a $150 hold on my account for the past 4 days for $63 gas purchase. The $63 cleared my account 2 days ago already.

WHY in the world do y'all have a pick up service if there isn't a designated area to park!?!? I just had to lug kids inside to grab a grocery order that should have been delivered to my vehicle but couldn't be delivered to my vehicle because there was no parking available for the pickup orders. That defeats the purpose of having grocery pickup

I love everything about my Kroger! The employees deal with customers who won't wear a mask! And still have a smile! I save at the very least $17-25 with coupon in house! I love getting my medication there! Of course discount on my gas! Win! Win! Win!
