I started using Dog On It Training for private in home lessons to help positively socialize my senior dog with my new puppy and to work on basic obedience skills for the new puppy as well, they sent their trainer Theresa and she was amazing. She takes the time to talk through and explain everything very well and sent detailed email summaries after the lessons as well. Every one of her methods for a variety of things worked fast and efficiently for us and was easy to continue working on myself at home. Theresa is super friendly and you can tell she actually loves dogs and loves her job and even gave me some recommendations on vets she knew about when we were discussing some of my senior dog's health issues. We have brought our puppy in facility several times for their puppy play groups and the trainer, Kayleigh who monitors the group is great as well. The facility itself is kept very clean and safe for the dogs and I haven't ever had a negative experience with anyone I've interacted with. The most important part of the training here is that it is all force free and postive reinforcement based and there's not many places in the area that offer that. Their prices are also reasonable. Definitely the place you want to come to for dog training and grooming!

Dog On It did an amazing job grooming my pup! He was a bit matted after growing out his winter coat and the holidays. They surpassed our expectations because he came out looking so adorable for such a reasonable price. Would totally recommend their services!!

We take our Field Spaniel here for grooming and she always comes back perfect!! We love Nicole for our grooming needs! The staff members are amazing and friendly, even with people new to the dog training world. They are all so understanding and helpful with whatever goals you have for your dog. They use positive reinforcement methods and it has worked great for my 9 month GSD. I've really enjoyed every interaction with all of their trainers and other staff members. I have completed 2 obedience classes here with my German shepherd and have started intro to agility. Lia and Sonja have been so great and have taught me how to train my dog properly. Me and my dog always look forward to our group training class each week. He is leash reactive, but has improved so much with the help of their training. I highly recommend their training services!

My doggy daughter and I have taken 3 different classes. All the classes are great! The instructor we had was Sonja, and I like how she conducts class.Bring lots of treats, get the harness they have in the store part of the location and the treat pack, this was a huge help for training I use ever day.The spa is also great! Highly recommend getting the pups nails done here!

Huge shout out to Theresa Kelly for being an amazing dog trainer here at dogonit! My dog Amelia just graduated the 5 week basics course with Theresa and we are planning on sending her through the more manners class with Theresa! We are also planning on sending our second dog Georgia through classes with Theresa, she is super flexible, knowledgeable, and such a good trainer. Loved the whole experience and my dogs will be pros by the end of training. Definitely check Theresa out for your dog training needs!

My dog, Maggie, is three years old and had learned some basic things as a puppy. However, I had slacked off with her training and wanted to start again. I took Theresa's Basic Class and both Maggie and I loved every minute. Theresa is incredibly knowledgeable. I would tell her something wasn't working and she was able to immediately show me an adjustment that would work every time. Her love for the dogs is apparent and genuine. We can't wait to take more classes!

Hands down the best training place I have been to. I have trained 3 of my pups here, all with Theresa. She is very knowledgeable and works towards the goal you come up with! From a super feisty Pomeranian to a skittish Doberman, she definitely know how to communicate with your fur babies. Currently enroll in Nose work/ scent training, plan on doing tricks and intro to agility too.

I take my pups there to get groomed, and they always make sure my pups are comfortable. If one of them isn't doing well with any portion of the process they do not force them to continue. I really appreciate this because, unlike other places, they don't care and will make the pup continue just so they can get the job done. This is a problem because pups can develop a fear of grooming which can cause issues at home. I recommend this groomer over others like the ones in Petsmart or Petco.

I was appalled when the 'trainer' suggested my dog should be drugged. The non approved training techniques quoted in the contract include yelling, but it seems they don't mind doping your dog. Beware!

I've used many different trainers in the CSRA and have seen several different methods. Dog on it is honestly the best training you'll find anywhere. It's seriously like observing magic when they work with dogs. They're incredibly professional, patient, and skilled.That combined with how caring and personal the grooming staff is makes this the only place I'll trust anymore with my dogs.

My initial goal with training was to learn how to deal with puppy behavior and have confidence with my large dog when others were around. I cannot recommend Lia and Phil enough! Lia has worked with me ever since I got my puppy almost 2 years ago. She's helped with everything from potty training to resource guarding and socialization. She and Phil have helped me understand how to read my dog's body language to understand how she reacts to her surroundings. Not only did they help her become more obedient but they helped me to be a more responsible pet owner. I love the use of positive reinforcement. The DOI staff has helped me tremendously with my 6 dogs. We’ve done all the classes starting with puppy class all through advanced. We’ve also enjoyed rally and agility classes and want to get into their tricks classes! I also have a reactive dog who is afraid of dogs and people. It’s an ongoing process but their expertise and support has made a huge impact on how I’m helping my dog feel better about his fears. Science-backed, positive reinforcement training has made all the difference with my dogs obedience skills and behavior. Highly highly recommend!

I have taken our Jack to this place twice now. The first time it was a for a wash and cut. Jack is a senior dog and was very anxious. But the team did a great job keeping him calm. The second time we just did the wash and he again looks fantastic. When he was done Samantha who washed him let him stay by her chair until we picked him up. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for great groomers. Thank you so much for making our Jack look so good.

I made the mistake of hiring Dog On It Training for my mid size dog that was destroying my house and yard. The trainer recommended a lot of expensive toys and a person to come walk them while I was at work because they thought he was bored. Even though there is another dog to play with and tons of toys. Midway through the training my dog started eating our fence. Three different times in a week! My neighbor had to keep catching him. So I got an electric fence and had the setting down low to keep the dog away from the wooden fence, which worked. No adverse reaction with the dog. The trainer and the owner both showed disdain for the fence and refused to come train while I had the fence. Also said they sent messages which did not come and it looked like they just didn’t show up for training because the system they use does not work well. I added the fence to protect my dog and keep him safe. They are refusing to refund the remaining four sessions. If you have any common sense, these are not the dog trainers for you!

The best trainers in the area. I love how they help ME teach my dogs so I can continue the training at home. I see almost immediate results, and they explain why the behavior is happening and how the training effects said behavior. I've got a very anxious girl that loathes eye contact and a happy go lucky pup. They do fabulous with both.

I have been working with a private trainer, Mary Pruett, since Finley was approximately 8 wks old and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. He was also enrolled in puppy classes which I would recommend to anyone with a new puppy. My goal is to have him receive his CGC to become a therapy dog. Being this is my first big dog, Golden Retriever, I had no idea what needed to be done to keep this boy active, not only physically but mentally and building his confidence. The dedication, knowledge and love shown by Mary is beyond amazing. I can’t saw enough wonderful things about her or Dog On It!!

Theresa is amazing. We adopted our schnauzer rescue who had horrible anxiety and would not listen, or respond to his name . He learned to trust us too. After 2 lessons we saw a huge improvement. Walking him on a leash was a struggle, he’s doing awesome. We learned great techniques and how to distract him and reduce his anxiety. He’s a different boy. Much happier baby. I recommend Theresa!!! We started working with Lia last year to help train our rescue dog before our baby was born. She has been so helpful, and her patience and techniques have helped BOTH of our dogs become better behaved and able to co-exist safely and happily with a new baby in the house! Our two dogs couldn't be more different when it comes to how they learn, and she was great at teaching us how to work with both of them...plus the dogs (and our cat) absolutely adore her! Lia has been a lifesaver! After I adopted my dog over a year ago, Lia has helped us with so many things during private sessions. I can’t say enough great things about Lia, Phil and Dog On It. Over 3 years, with 2 different rescue German Shepherds we’ve participated in group classes and individual sessions. We’ve had all the issues you can imagine with 2 very different, very active rescue shepherds. Lia and Phil treat each dog as an individual rather than a one size fits all approach and I love how Lia comes up with creative ways to deal with very specific and practical issues. I promise even large active headstrong dogs respond to positive reinforcement and you can see the lightbulb turn on when they figure it out.

The trainers and groomers at Dog On It are pasionate and knowledgable about what they do. They have gone out of their way to ensure both us and our dogs have a great experience while learning at each training session. We got our fist dog 2 years ago and he has been to over 20 classes. We loved our experience so much that weve taken our 4 month old puppy to serveral classes already. The treat and reward positive reinforcment training method works! We feel so much more connected to our dogs then we would had we choosed shock collar training.
