Very friendly staff. Very knowledgeable about their inventory. I’m new to the fish world and they are being very helpful to me setting up my tank. You should really stop in there. It’s a very cool place.

I keep several kinds of animals, including fish, birds, reptiles, and small mammals. This place was a disappointment. There was a macaw sitting by himself on a bare perch with no toys or anything for him to entertain himself with (birds are very smart and need toys and other forms of enrichment). He should be in a home where he gets regular interaction with people he is bonded with, not stuck in a pet store entrance as a display piece all day with nothing to do and no companions. The “breeding” birds are kept in extremely small cages with little to no toys, and one of the parrotlets is being over-groomed by their mate (they had missing feathers all the way around their neck). There is a giant rabbit kept in a cage he can barely turn around in, there were 5 guinea pigs in a way too small cage with no bedding or hides, and an empty water dispenser, with the poor things rattling it trying to get water. There were so many empty water bowls, I mentioned it to the person at the desk (after waiting for him to finish talking to a friend while I wandered around aimlessly waiting for them to finish, it wasn’t until I stood behind the friend that the FRIEND said he should help me and left, very unprofessional) and was told “they were literally filled 10 minutes ago” and he stayed behind the counter. sorry, no, I wasn’t born yesterday. The baby tortoise bowl would not have dried up that quickly (poor things were sitting in their empty bowl with no water to soak in), and the bird’s water had clearly been sitting awhile, it doesn’t turn yellow in 10 minutes. And even if they had been filled 10 minutes ago, if they’re empty YOU GET OFF YOUR BUTT AND FILL THEM. Those animals rely on you for their basic needs, they can’t go get water by themselves. Also the fish tanks were in abysmal condition, algae everywhere. Judging by the fact that they can’t even keep their fish tanks clean, and can’t provide basic care and proper enclosures for their other animals, I would avoid going here for advice on care or anything to do with pets, they’re either clueless or just don’t care. The conditions were absolutely Shameful. I wouldn’t recommend shopping here if you care anything about animal welfare. I hope they do better or someone rescues those animals.

This place needs either new management or a new owner because looking at the place and also hearing from others the animals are not well kept. The tanks are dirty, dead fish left in tanks just rotting for people to see is insane. To use the excuse “well there are no fish in the ones that are dirty” is just ridiculous, just because there are no fish in the tank does not mean you can let the tanks go down the crapper. Even PetSmart’s tanks aren’t that bad & that’s really speaking volumes. Either get it together or shut the place down.

Didn't have many fish at the time I was there but it wasn't their fault. Hurricane Ian kinda played havoc on them understandable, but they had the coolest zebra striped eel.. The purdy young lady there was very knowledgeable, nice, courteous and funnny. Me, my wife, and her shared some great story's , I know my wife will be back , as for me I will probably be forced to come back again by my wife so if I am forced to come back it will be to see if her 2great Danes have ate her out of house and home yet....

The store was very well kept. All the fish were alive, the Animals had food and water. There was a large variety of fish, birds, and lizards. I went there for the white knee tarantula it was kept in a nice cage with water and substrate. Great store

I want to give these folks a higher rating, but the store is just sort of a mess. The tanks are in fairly poor shape, and there is very little selection of any kind. They did have a basket of juvenile cockatiels, which were hand tamed and extremely cute. I sincerely hope that they can spend a few days cleaning and get a little more stock in, it has a lot of possibilities.

Went in for advice and help with small freshwater tanks having issues with ammonia and nitrate levels off the charts. Clerk helped us and gave us tons of advice. ....unfortunately, we followed that advice and might lose even more fish. All of our mystery snails are now bloated and in emergency quarantine - one of them now has mantle collapse (which she didn't have before the treatment we were advised to give).This might be a one-off situation, but it's in line with plenty of other reviews for this business. Next time, we'll do our own research and go elsewhere. If you don't already have the information, to fact-check on the spot, maybe go elsewhere instead. (And I echo what Justin Howard said in their review, that the tanks looked rough, quite a few dead fish in many of the tanks. If they're so knowledgeable, why aren't their tanks and animals thriving better?)

i’m actually speechless after visiting this place. there were dead fish floating at the top of one of the tanks & the other fish were eating on them. also there was a dead fish that had just jumped out of its tank and was just laying in the middle of the floor. the tanks were not well kept and looked disgusting. these people neglect all of their animals and it’s extremely sad. their enclosures for some of their animals are extremely small considering the sizes of these animals. i’m actually not sure how this place is still in business. not to mention their prices are insane. i wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Came in looking for aquarium supplies and the staff completely ignored us. There were literally about 4-5 people standing around doing nothing and goofing off.The animals in there didn't seem well-cared for and the placed just gave off an all-around sketchy vibe. I honestly have no idea how they stay in business.

They have a customer forever. Nathaniel is great! He reads my lips and makes an effort to understand sign language. This is the first reptile place i have been that had a great guy to make an effort to speak back to me!! Great healthy hoppers. I hope Nathaniel sees this. I appreciate you very much!!!

This store is very untrustworthy. I had a lot of life changes that made my fiance and me to decide to get rid of a ferret we just bought from a friend. I worked 12 hours a day and had a baby on the way. I called the store and asked them if they co-sell animals and they informed me they did. I sent my fiance up there shortly after I talked to them on the phone for him to get more information. He spoke with a lady and stated he can fill out and sign the paperwork when he brings the ferret up to the store. When he did that (including the $150 cage and all of her belongings), he stated there was not much paperwork to sign and that everything was set. A few weeks past and I had not heard anything so I told my fiance to go up there and see if they had sold the ferret. They had and upon asking where our percentage is, they informed us that we will not get anything. So now I am in a situation where I am out hundreds of dollars for putting my trust in a hole in the wall store. I have never been lied to and cheated the way this store has cheated me. The only way it seems I am going to get any justice is taking them to small claims court.

Strange interactions. One day going in the young girls were very nice, but did some things that worried me how much they know on handling fish. Next time a different girl was as unfriendly as possible. I had been wanting to meet up with the owner to ask about something, and never understood the avoidance, thus causing frustration. When I saw a guy and asked if he was the owner he said, "No, don't put that on me!" He was not joking.Unfriendly, unprofessional, uncomfortable place. Just made me feel sad and very disappointed. Sorry for this need to be honest, but that is how things went for me at this business.

Went in this morning at 10:30. We weren’t greeted or even asked if we needed help. There were 2 employees there one on her phone the other young man was cleaning one of the fish tanks, we asked about the coy and he said they are down there. He didn’t offer to help us. There’s a old saying take CARE of the customer and they will take care of you, evidently y’all have all the customers that you want. Will not be back.

Employees are anti-helpful. It is their goal to answer questions with as few words as possible. I asked a young man about a snake and he was almost confrontational; as if he was mad at me. No one in the store will speak to you, and most of the reptiles/herps are in poor health and habitats. I wouldn't purchase a light bulb from this place. I love pet shops, and have been to most in the area; this place is a no-go.

Bought a Axolotl, lady at the counter didn’t tell us much about the fish, there was a orange parrot fish that acted like he hadn’t been fed in days, the tanks were very dirty and they had at least 12 birds all in one cage. There was a dead betta fish in one of the containers.

I have just changed my tank from a fresh water to a salt water tank as of March 16,2016. I had an appointment for Saturday March 20th but I was so excited that I could not wait so they was able to change the appointment at the last minute. I thanked them so much. The gentleman came out was very nice and helped me with everything. He explained everything. Going to send hubby and kids to go get some fish today. Thank you Fish Bowl all of you are such a great help. Loving people. Great customer service skills.

Great place for fish, amphibians, arachnids, small mammals or reptiles. Huge selection of freshwater, brackish and saltwater fish. Just don't pet Sammy. There are signs for a reason, he will bite.

I got my Cockatiel there and it was second one purchased from Fish Bowl. This was my first visit at there new location and disappointed in the overall store this visit. It seems they have fewer pets for sale now and seemed less clean.

Good place to buy feeder mice but don't wait too late in the week because they run out. Staff is friendly. They are closed on Wednesday and Sunday now.

I went and purchased two catfish from here not even a week ago. I suggested that they not be put in the same bag due to agression but my concerns were dismissed. By the time I made it home, the larger fish had beaten the smaller fish up and he was barely able to swim. He was dead by the next morning. The remaining catfish was dead when I come home today. He had ich. I had not noticed it until last night and he was too far gone for me to treat. I will NEVER purchase ANYTHING else from this store. Their tanks have to be the nastiest tanks I've ever witnessed and the people are NOT helpful. The only reason I have given them 1 star is so that I am able to leave this review.

Nice but small. And there always out of what I need. It seems to be a wasted trip every time I come here. The young girl who is always there is not very knowledgeable about the animals there and she always seems to be in the back of the store with someone else and takes a few minutes to even come up and ask if you need help. Otherwise store is cute and clean for the most part.

My family has purchased many different kinds of pets from Fish Bowl and we have always been greeted by helpful, knowledgeable employees who are eager and willing to assist. All of the pets we have purchased have been healthy and well kept. Our questions have been met with clear and concise answers. The new fish tanks are great additions to the atmosphere of the store.We have purchased pets from other well known national stores (from fish to Guinea pigs) and they have never lasted more than a week, some even came down with wet tail within hours of bringing them home! We have learned from these experiences and now we only purchase our pets from Fish Bowl.In my opinion, it is refreshing to come across a business that is willing to go the extra mile for their customers and offer excellent service.

This place is horrible. The staff is negligent. The animals are disgusting and their environments are too small. The staff was basically holding the counter up, while the animals suffered.The chinchillas were in horrible living environments. The pellet food was like saw dust, and the animals overall looked sad, and uncared for. They need to be rescued and this place needs to be shut down immediately. My friends and I have reported this to the USDA and hopefully we can get places like this to become nonexistent.

My experience was a joke, found the store online, looked great on the Internet but was terrible in person. I made the trip from fayetteville to stock a 125 gal tank with malawai cichlids and to place a order to stock my new 240gal tank as well. The fish in the store were basically knocking oh heaven's door, I've never seen such neglected tanks and suffering livestock in one place. The girl working there was rude and would not move off her ass to try and help customers. That being said I took my businesses 20 miles away, purchased $450 worth of stock, ordered another $1200 of stock for my other tank.

Was kicked out of store by employee that didnt even know a crested gecko was for sale!! The girl working there was the major problem... store seemed to have what we traveled to buy. I want answers...surely the owner is not aware of this girls actions! Would still recommend store, but I want to talk to owner about what happened!

I was a little disappointed in today’s visit, last time I came in there the animals seem to be in good condition, but today I noticed that a lot of the fish in the fish tank were dead and floating and the poor snakes especially the ball pythons were curled up in their water bowls which normally means that their habitat is way too hot. The iguana/giant lizard animal at the front of the store for everyone to see, his water bowl was so nasty and you couldn’t even see through the water. One of the mouse/rats water bowl was bone dry and one of the birds had absolutely no food and had poop all on the bottom of the cage. I broke my heart and I wanted to buy all the animals so I could take care of them 😢
