Kids had a blast! Pigs, chickens, ducks running around, puppies, baby goats, horses and donkeys. Run by Donations only, people were so welcoming, gave kids apple slices, Zucchini, carrots etc to feed animals. We spent roughly an hour here, kids would have stayed all day. 7$ per person Donation includes food for you to feed animals. Very nice day.

Call to check schedule . We almost drove out on a weekday that they are closed on. Anyway, we arrived and immediately was happy to see many friendly animals welcoming us! A few ducks and a donkey:) Went into the barn and was really excited to see the variety of animals! The owner was busy cutting food so we could all feed the animals She was super friendly and was working hard to keep everyone happy. We made our way to all the animals inside and out and fell in love with all them. She had a dog with a noticeable disability but you would never know it because he was so happy and in a loving place ! I have the utmost respect for all they do here for these animals . It was amazing if you love ( as we do) animals you MUST go.

What an awesome place that offers a unique experience. We visited Build an Ark while staying at the Coosawattee River Resort during our annual family vacation. My daughter enjoyed feeding all the different animals. She was able to feed more animals here than she has ever been able to at any petting zoo type of place. It’s truly a great thing what this place is doing for the animals in their care. The staff is very friendly and it’s obvious they’re passionate about the work they’re doing. I definitely recommend visiting!

This is a wonderful place to bring your kids and visit for all animal lovers. There are variety of animals that you can pet and feed. To name a few, piggies, donkeys, horses, goats etc. This is a rescue place and they take care of old animals that nobody wants anymore. By visiting here, you help them and animals feel loved.

For our suburban family, this was a very unique opportunity to get up and close with many farm animals. We were visiting the lake and mountains for our annual vacation and came across this place in things to do in nearby towns. Well worth the drive for us. We made a donation and were given a good sized bucket of food to feed to the animals. Some were freely roaming the farm.I especially loved the piggy. Everyone made a great memory that afternoon. Please read the history and building of the Ark if you visit.

My four year old son had a blast and so did all of us adults! For a small fee you get to not only see, but pet and feed the animals. It was a wonderful experience!! I'm including a few pictures I took while there.

I absolutely love it!! It's a small farm with interaction with the animals and family fun!! They were able to take a very tiny pig that my husband and I rescued and give her the best home possible to grow and thrive in 🐖

Close encounters with variety of different animals. You can feed and pet all of the animals there. The ostrich is very sweet and my daughter fell in love with the baby lamb and the blind donkey. There is no cost but donations are greatly appreciated. It is a farm like setting so be prepared to be outdoors or in muddy conditions depending on weather.

This is safe for your kids she is a very nice lady she cares about her animals as much as the community the staff take there time every day trying to make you and your family have a great time! I have fifteen animals and I thought they were hard to take care of so please take some time to volunteer

I love the work this place does. I think it's great that kids can feed the animals on the farm and experience what it takes to care for them. My daughter loved sitting with the bunnies. And a couple years back they had baby deers that people would bring in. They are no longer there but that was a beautiful experience to see them up close and get kisses from them. I won't ever forget that. Last time we went up there. We got to see the bird do tricks.

Build an Ark is by far the best animal rescue in Ellijay! They have everything from some sweet horses to a rather grumpy parrot! And don't even get me started on the rabbit room! Excellent for families and for kids of all ages. Could not recommend enough!

This is an amazing story of people who believe in good in the world and helping others. The red Barn is an inviting place where animals are rescued and people can touch, play and enjoy a farm!! Word is they are making a movie about Ms.Susan. when you come, ask about the tornado!

Great place to visit with kids! We come to the Blue Ridge area frequently and this was the first time we’d ever been. We’ll definitely be back! $7 per person and you get huge baskets of food to feed the animals. My two year old was in heaven with the bunnies, puppies, pigs, donkeys, sheep, horses, ducks, and pony. I was worried about nipping fingers but the animals were sweet and tame. I think this is a great thing they do and we can’t wait to go back!

What a great place. My girls loved feeding the fawns and bunnies. They got to snuggle kittens and baby rabbits. They gingerly fed the scary-looking pigs, who turned out to be very gentle :) They enjoyed seeing all the rest of the animals in the huge barn. On our way out, after staying past closing time, Susan gave us a giant bowl of treats to feed to the animals outside - donkeys, horses, goats, a pony, and others. What a fabulous Sunday afternoon! We can't wait to return.

Oh my gosh- I needed some animal therapy and found this place online. When we pulled up, we were greeted by the sweetest dog who followed us to the front. We were then greeted by the owner and a volunteer- both EXTREMELY nice. They give you a large basket of cut up fruits and veggies and are free to wonder around and see the animals. All looked very happy and cared for, and trust me- they know those red baskets! LolThe pigs are the sweetest and so gentle. I love the fact she also takes in feral cats and gives them a good life outside her property. We will absolutely be back very soon. ❤️

The kids had an amazing time they loved all the animals. They gave us a good size bucket of food for the animals we did not have to worry what animal was nice or mean they were all friendly. The staff was very kind and we had the best time. Please volunteer and donate they need it so it can be great for the next family.
