We stopped in at about 1 PM on a Saturday in January 2024 for lunch. We had quiche without meat, but they do have a meat one also. We also had the duo turkey sandwich and salad. Both were served within 10 minutes. We enjoyed the lunch. We were able to customize the order. Table seemed to have some crumbs on it, that were not visible but we could feel them. Clean restroom. The staff was very friendly to us.Vegetarian options: They cater to vegetarians.Dietary restrictions: They mention they have gluten free options.

Stopped at The Shanty Cafe for breakfast while on our way home...and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The breakfast burrito and loaded avocado toast were so good!! Highly recommend this place! Staff was amazing and friendly..met some of the locals which were also friendly and very pleasant! Definitely stopping here again next time we're out this way!

What a nice coffee and sandwich shop. The girl who made our coffee for us was very friendly. We sat outside at one of their tables, and the girl made our coffee brought water out for our pups. Decided to have a chicken salad wrap while we were there, and it was very good. A different girl brought the order out so she could meet our pups.

WOW!!! What a surprise find on our roadtrip in this cute town. We enjoyed our ham and cheese scone. The avocado toast was amazing. My husband loved his breakfast burrito. The coffee was great lavender chai with oatmilk.When traveling 95 it’s just a short distance off the exit ( a few mins) worth the stop.

Adorable little cafe that has a great lunch menu and good coffee, it’s in a perfect spot and outside seating has a nice view of the little town. The inside is clean and simple and the staff are very nice. Great addition to Darien.

If you're a real coffee drinker, (and boy am I ever!) then you need to come visit. It was cold caffeine for us today. The cold brew is as rich and deep as I've had anywhere, dressed exactly as I liked with great personal attention. A pumpkin spice latte, that most scoffed at of fall drinks, had all the goodness of handcrafting.Come get some!

Stopped in here after going to Fort King George, and got a Frozen Caramel Latte with 2 espresso shots instead of one. I'm a Starbucks man, even worked there for a while, but this drink was EVEN BETTER THAN STARBUCKS! You could taste the freshness and the roasted flavor of the coffee/espresso. It's been two days and I'm still craving another one. I'm going to have to go back and buy a back of their coffee bc it was so good!Also, the young lady who was the barista was very friendly!
