We used Rock House today for our Aussie Doodle puppy and they did a great job. The business was clean, they communicated well and the price was very reasonable. We will use them going forward. Adding some before and after pictures for reference.

Best groomer in dahlonega! While it is not the most affordable one, I would MUCH rather spend $50 right than $25 wrong with a different groomer. The FFF groom option got my Pomeranian looking the best he has ever looked! You definitely get the bang for your buck. Out of every groomer I’ve taken him to from FL to GA, I am the most satisfied with Rock House Grooming. His fur has never been softer. Very friendly staff as well!

Took our Dachshund this morning for a bath and nail trim. When we picked her up her toe nail was broken and covered in blood. Jim the owner was very unapologetic and insinuated it happened at home before we brought her which is not true.

Took my girl Peaches in for the first time for a grooming at Rock House. We were warmly greeted. The staff is very nice. Venus did her up great. We were very pleased our baby's care and she looks fantastic.

Went here for the first time earlier this week. Took my 5 month old lab/pit for her first nail trim not from the vet. This place does accept walk-ins for nail trims. The staff was so friendly and thoughtful of my puppy as she was not exactly happy about getting her nails grinded. They were patient and very caring of my puppy while she was scared. They even got her a treat afterwards to help her feel better. I will absolutely be returning in the future!Edit: We have gone here for nail trims but they’ve increased their prices. Now a nail trim is $15 + tip. I feel like it’s a bit expensive for something that takes 5 minutes but I haven’t been elsewhere to compare.

Let me begin by saying Rhonda and Jim love animals! I have used them for boarding and grooming and I will not bring my pups anyplace else. They love my babies like their own, which makes it much easier to leave them behind when necessary! We have been using Rock House for almost 5 years now and they have either groomed or boarded all of my dogs since I met them. I have used all of their locations, while currently using the Murrayville space for grooming. It’s the most convenient for me. I highly recommend them for your pups!

Great folks work there. They take great care of the animals. Unfortunately, our cat wasn't cooperative so he didnt get done:) They were very kind to him. He wasn't traumatized at all when we picked him up!

I have taken my dogs there for years. They do a great job, and my dogs don't fight me going in. They give them lots of love and attention.

Great knowledge and handling of our dog! Shibas still aren't seen around as often as other dogs and these 2 girls knew everything they needed without us even telling them anything. Great attitude, very friendly, and I'm sure our baby girl Zula is excited for her next visit!

We've been boarding our dogs at Rock House for nearly a decade now. They are wonderful. Our dogs are always happy and healthy when we pick them up and it is so nice to know we can travel and leave them in good hands. Would definitely recommend.

They are THE BEST. They are flexible with boarding pick up and drop off times. They groom my Alaskan Malamute Bailey and he loves them and they do an AWESOME JOB! I cannot say enough about how great they are!

WARNING DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PET WITH THIS PLACE!!!!I made reservations to leave my dog with this place one month in advance to board my dog. I called several times to confirm the reservation. When I arrived the place was empty. Only to find out that they transport the dogs 30 miles away at their home to board them. I agreed to bring my dog to them only to check out the place and see where my dog would be. When we got to the location I did not even get out of the car, we kept going. The trailer and yard looked like a pig stye. I was so upset that only by the Grace of God my little fella did not end up staying days at this horrific place. These people are a joke! No where does it tell you they transport the animals. I can not believe these people are still in business!!

Extremely pleased with the groomers at Rock House. Our dog Maggie was shedding terribly. One trip to Rock House and her fur is not flying all over the house!! She looks and smells great. Best groomers ever!! Will not go anywhere else!

Hit or miss. First time I took my dog for grooming they did an excellent job. She didn't shed at all for nearly a week. This last time I left her for boarding and grooming. I appreciated that they did text me a picture of my dog while she was there but that was about as good as it got. The grooming this time was on par with what I do myself at home - she is still shedding like crazy. When I went to pick her up the woman did not even know which dog was mine and had to ask me "is this it?" Not a very professional place but they are well priced and fairly friendly.

We boarded 5 dogs, 3 of ours and two of our daughters during an 8 day out of town trip. We were concerned as three are rescues and one of the three had a terrible experience in a shelter. Upon pick up they were happy, content , clean (we had them bathed) and the small one with issues was so confident and happy, I can’t say enough about the great care. My wife and I are so pleased and have been back since , to leave them for an overnight.

We took our very fluffy Husky to Rock House Groom & Board and when we picked him up, he looked like a brand new, brushed out and clean dog. They did a great job!

The owner and groomers at Rock House Groomers are always amazing with our sweet boy Dudley. He loves to play at their Doggie Daycare. They always treat my family with kindness and the best customer service. I am thankful for them. And so is Dudley. ❤

I regard my dog like my child so make every effort so my pet feels happy about the experience. They do give your pet a cute bandana around your pet neck. There is and employee there who cut my dog's tongue. Be careful she still there. They did offer a free shower for my dog but she has no business being there. I will keep you updated.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PET WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!! We left our 6 month old puppy and everything went wrong. They never asked us to sign a single paper nor did they ask for proof of any shot records or anything else. These people are a joke. They lied several times and would not answer our call. We were told by Jim himself that they do not have to answer our calls! They did not feed her or if they did it was not her food. They transported her to there house where they claimed they had a state of the art boarding facility and when we arrived our puppy was being held in an old garage and not well kept. The first night they left her at the grooming facility in Dahlonega because they were incapable of getting her in a mini van. She stayed there all night by herself with no supervision. When we voiced our concerns Jim was so defensive and rude and would not even listen. If you love your pets like we do please do not leave them at Rock House board and groom.

My son went to pick up our pet from boarding recently and they brought out the WRONG DOG! The workers acted nonchalant and never apologized for the mistake. He was told it would take about an hour and a half to go get his dog from the off-site boarding location and complete the grooming before she would be ready for pickup. When my son called the owner to discuss the matter he received a lecture instead of an apology. She (the owner) proceeded to tell my son that he needed to be more understanding of their "little mix-up." When my son explained that her little mix-up caused a significant logistical headache for them, she abruptly hung up on him! The owner and the office staff were very unprofessional and unapologetic. The way they acted like it was no big deal that a dog was unaccounted for makes me wonder if this happens all the time. He has had bad experiences with them before, but this was the worst. They will never receive our business again. There are other boarding facilities nearby. Choose one of them, NOT ROCKHOUSE!

THESE PEOPLE ARE A JOKE!!!! Do not leave your pet at this facility. The facility at which you drop your pet off is not where they are kept. The facility on Dahlonega looks nice and well presented but they keep the dogs at there house to board them and they stay in an old dingy garage with 1 window unit! They are both extremely rude and do not have any customer service. Was told we cannot expect for your pet to have 24 hour watch care for $25 a night. Jim and Rhonda are not nice people nor do they have any idea about animal care!

I took my 10 year old Siberian Husky to have him brushed out which I do yearly when his undercoat starts molting. They told me they could see him at 9:30 am but I didn't get my dog back until 4:30 pm - 7 hours later and when I got him back, it looked like they pulled his hair out or brushed too hard leaving his skin raw and inflamed. I will never ever take my dog back to this place. I will do it myself next time.

We were visiting Dahlonega for the weekend and needed a doggie day care for a few hours for our pup. They had a great outdoor play area with kiddie pools that the dogs could play in and they offered grooming services as well. Each dog got his/her own cubby that their harness/leash/personal treats were placed in so that things didn't get misplaced. The prices were very reasonable - $15 for the daycare and $10 for a nail trim. They also have treats, leashes, and accessories for sale. We were very impressed and will take our pup their each time we visit!

Outstanding place. They really do love and take care of the animals. Boarding our dog had never been so stress-free. The prices are a steal and they don't have the dogs in cages! Their grooming services are 'ze-magnefic!'..only a French accent compliment can do justice to the work they do. I know my Hawkeye loves it there.

We live out of state and came to Dahlonega for a long weekend camping excursion and decided to bring and board the pups nearby... cuz I’m one of those neurotic, childless dog moms. This trip was the first time in eight years of boarding our three furry kids at vet kennels that I wasn’t worried about their well-being and comfort while they were away from home.1) We had a Sunday pick up and were well-aware that the drop-off would be in Dahlonega and pick up in Gainesville. Rhonda was very clear and double-checked multiple times on the phone. They do not provide the address over phone and give it to you at drop off for safety/security.2) The Dahlonega facility is so cute and has an adorable and well-manicured play area for the dogs with indoor open pens with comfy bedding.3) The Gainesville pick up was at the owners’ residence, but had an larger ancillary building where the kennels were with outdoor play areas so it’s not like they are sitting in some stranger’s basement - that one review raging about the dog being in a neighborhood is trippin a this is not a scene from “Deliverance.”4) The owners are obviously dog folks, they completely eased our out-of-towner minds - they even provide their direct cell numbers to text/call for whatever. As someone who has always boarded our three dogs at vet kennels because I’m such a paranoid worry wart, I would absolutely board them there instead of a vet kennel, hands down.5) At pick-up, I could tell our pups enjoyed themselves and were happy/energetic. Based on the comments from Jim (one of the owners), it was obvious that they played and interacted with them and gave them that human attention the dogs strive on. I’m confident they received much more attention and care than they ever have from vet assistants, who have much more animals and larger facilities to maintain.6) They groomed our long-haired pup and he looked absolutely dapper!Overall, it’s a fantastic place with caring people and if we ever find ourselves back down in the area for more adventures, we would definitely check the pups back into our new, favorite dog “hotel.”

There is so many reasons on why you should NOT take your furbaby here.-NO response. When you call. NO answers-NO updates about your dog-If you have a feeding schedule. Don’t not expect them to follow it-brought my dog food there and was not given. Instead they fed her a different brand of food(My dog stomach is now tore up)-dogs lefts in a old garage-it’s dirty area and not a lot of Air conditions-dog not being bathed- rude employees and managementPlease! I mean please! If your truly love your furbaby and care about who take care of them. Then save your money and NOT do your business.

I'll start by saying I don't trust just anybody with my pets. We were looking for a place to take our Great Dane/Mastiff pups for a bath because our vet is pretty pricey for this standard service. After calling around, Rhonda seemed like the nicest person we had spoken to. (It's an act) We scheduled an appointment for that same day. We used Siri to find the location. Siri navigation was wrong. It took us to their previous location, so we were about 20 minutes late. From the moment we walked in, I had a bad feeling. First, they were very adamant that we leave our dogs and pick them up later. They started by telling us it would take three hours. For a bath? Really? We refused to leave them. (Would you leave your children with someone you just met that you knew nothing about?) Our dogs are our babies. I'm not dropping them off anywhere with someone I had met just two seconds earlier. Yet again, we were told maybe 4-5 times to just leave them. There was one chair in the greet/reception area, which tells me they don't encourage people to stay. The guy who came out to take my babies back was extremely nice. Seemed to be very good with the dogs. I had zero complaints about him.Rhonda and another lady were grooming dogs within sight. Rhonda left the grooming area because she finished with one dog and went to get another. The other lady was grooming a goldendoodle/giant poodle breed dog on August 18, 2018 (for whoever's dog this was). As she was grooming, the dog yipped. She said "Oh my God" and proceeded to call Rhonda back. She stated she had cut the dogs tongue while she was cutting the pups feet. (He was licking the area she was cutting) She asked for assistance several times for someone to come look at the dog to make sure he was OK. NO ONE came. Even when Rhonda came back out with the other dog, she didn't bother to check him.Rhonda proceeded to groom another dog. The dog started barking in the direction of my husband. She started telling the other lady that my husband's hat was upsetting the dog and apparently it had been abused at one point by someone wearing a hat. She asked him to walk around the corner so the dog couldn't see him. He did. The dog proceeded to bark. She told the other lady that he was "gassing off bad" because he was so upset. Finally, she told my husband he would probably have to leave because he was upsetting the dog. She was extremely rude and hateful. (Again, trying to get us to leave.) My husband told her if we left our dogs would go with us. She told him he could take the dogs at anytime. He told her to bring them out now.She went into the other room where the guy had started washing our dogs. She told him to bring the dogs back. He asked why and she said "Because this guy is being a douchebag." Wow...all because we wouldn't leave. Really? You wanted us out of the building bad enough to name call a potential customer? While she was in the other room, my husband was standing there and the dog who had been barking was now wagging it's tail. Obviously not upset anymore, so I'm guessing the dog didn't like HER or what she was doing. The guy brought our pups out. (Again super nice. At least it's apparent that at least he cares.)We took our dogs and left. Obviously we would not recommend this place to ANYONE. She doesn't want anyone to stay because she doesn't want witnesses to anything bad that happens, like a dog getting it's tongue cut.I've concluded I'd rather pay our vet three times as much to give our dogs a bath. (And they actually tell you they prefer if you stay.) Imagine that. I'd really like to know if they told the one dog's parents that his tongue was cut.
