I wouldn’t recommend ppl working there , they just hire ppl and let them go for no good reason . My bf worked there not long and was doing fine until they decided to let him go easily with no notice or nothing. This place is awful for that .

I have never had an issues until this evening. I was in the store with my girlfriend. When I started noticing every aisle I went down. The cashier was right behind me. She even cut my girlfriend off so she could follow me. I finally had enough and was ready to go. I Was not acting suspious or loud to draw attention to myself. That's ok I can spend my money somewhere else that won't treat me like a shoplifter.

Nice place to drop by and get the stuff you need, milk, paper products, ect. They have a very large inventory of groceries, including clothes, general hardware and they stay open til 10:00 pm which is fantastic in this CV-19.

There's this really pretty Assitant manager with colorfull hair that is super help full and really fast at checking people out. In my opinion only one that does her job correctly. I think her name was Jenn. Would shop here again.

You can not get out of this store. 11 people in front of me. Stood in line forever before the manager came over and opened up the other register. Then she only took credit cards because she hadn't counted in her drawer. This was almost 6pm. No excuses for this!!!!! This is why they can't keep people working here.

Lines can get long but most of the staff (not all) are willing to pitch in and help out. One staff member is very rude, does not want to help, does not want to work. God forbid you ask her anything while she is in her phone. They had a clearly marked sale on Luv's diapers in February, which she argued with me about, refused to apply the discount, and immediately stormed to the display and took down the sign. I paid full price to avoid confrontation but it was rude and disrespectful.

This dollar general is a very poorly run store. Never has items you need or if they do it's in a box on a cart they haven't gotten to. You can go back 3 days later and items are still not there. Needs better management and cashier's. Just because these dollar generals are a few miles apart doesn't mean we want to stop at each one just to pick up a total of 3 items. Messiest store I have EVER been in. The child playing on the shelves as the store photo is an accurate representation of how they maintain the place. There were 2 people stuffing their bags with makeup and cleaning products that I saw in the 30 mins I was here. There were at least 4 aisles that I couldn't shop down because there was merchandise covering the floors. Not as bad an inconvenience for me as it would be for anyone with a disability that requires an opened pathway. While checking out with about 5 people behind me and only one woman on a register (who was distracted talking to someone else in line) the manager just stood behind the counter watching her one associate struggle. All in all this place needs a fresh start. And a good place would be who is hired here.

Out this world experience! The aisles seemed to endless and loaded with unbeatable bargains! However there's a lot of thieving going on around us! Me and my uncle often stand around until we spot a shoplifter then we confront them outside and teach em a lesson!

I stop by this Dollar General because it is convenient, however, they never have enough workers at checkout. The employees are always polite, there just isn’t enough people working every time I stop in... thus leading to longer lines and makes the store less convenient.

I don't know if it's the lack of management training or management not carring, not all but most of the Colbert store has some of the rudest cashiers I've encountered. You are not greeting at the register nor receive a thank you. It's like they are doing you a favor to wait on you.Today when I went to the self check out, I kept trying to scan, thinking it was me or the sku not reading, finally the cashier stated, it wasn't working, I asked her, don't you think a sign should be put up? If looks could kill... I didn't say it being ugly, it was a simple question. I mean reallly....you know it's not working and you're too lazy to tape a sign up

I love DG and appreciate its being here. I don’t have to drive 10 miles into Athens to find most things I need. The staff is friendly and helpful. One important suggestion, howevet, is to keep the shelves stocked and neater. Many times I’ve found items all over the floor in the aisles and knocked over in the shelves. I know customers do this, but it is up to the sales staff to keep things neat enough for other customers to find things. I’ve worked in retail. Its a problem to be dealt with in every store, but it really needs to be addressed in this one.

The employees are doing a really good job.considering how understaffed they are. I have always been hellped & treated nicely by the employees. From experience in retaiil I know how hard it is to work short staffed & it makes more sense to me to put more staff than more merchandise in the store. Seems like they are just building new, bigger stores. Sure hope they hire more employees. They shouldn't be afraid to invest in people. Aflter all people are their greatest resource. Nearly anything you want at decent prices. Some times quick but more people are shopping at Dollar General. In Lexington Ga. , We could use the bigger store with more freezer selection

This store is so disorganized! So much so that I left without purchasing anything. You have to be desperately in need of something to shop there. Masks were required but saw about 5 people without it. Shop at your own risk.

Great place to go for quality household products at a bargain. When you live 20 miles in either direction from Walmart, DG IS THE BEST PLACE TO GET A DEAL. and I love the fact that they have milk loafbreaf and sand which meat. Soooo convenient! Ya don't have to go to the big grocery store and walk 200 yards for a loaf bread or milk. At DG- YA WALK IN A FEW STEPS- GRAB IT N GO! Thanks Dollar General.

Your on your way to work and you forgot something, or you don't want to walk around in a big grocery store or Walmart, you want to go straight and get what you need, Dollar General is your place, they normally carry everything that Walmart has minus the longer walks. Love the Beachwalk Center DG! The service is always friendly and helpful, especially needed since they keep rearranging all the aisles in the store.

They don't ever have anything on the shelves and stuff is in the middle of the floor and carts everywhere full and you can't get nothing off of the car she'll get in trouble but everybody wants to hang around and talk and cut up instead of doing their jobs I used to work for Dollar general I used to manage a Dollar general and I've never seen one like this store and it's not the coronavirus it's the employees

An EXTREMELY trashy parking lot, and it takes forever to find the right section for celebration cards. Other than that, they usually have anything I might need.
