Great BBQ spot! We like the white sauce but you may enjoy the red, both are worth a try. We enjoy the loaded tater, brisket, smoked turkey, pork nachos, and pork plate. The burnt ends are so yummy. The fried apple pies are wonderful too! Every time we're in town, we love to come here and we recommend the place to friends. If you drive by and smell BBQ, you know you're near GREAT food!

You can walk in this place and feel the positive energy. The atmosphere here just makes you excited to be here. The food was a little different than what I'm used to. It still was exceptional in taste and quality. This locally owned restaurant is a staple here. The staff was incredibly friendly. We even got to meet the owner who was working in the kitchen at the time. You can taste the love in their food.The flavor may not be for everybody if your not open minded. I ordered the ribs with Brunswick stew and potato salad. I also got a small banana pudding. I was not too big of a fan of the barbecue sauce however the ribs were incredibly tender and delicious. Potato salad was okay, the Brunswick stew was out of this world. The banana pudding was just yummmmmy!

Chicken nachos were wonderful. I enjoyed the pork plate. Potato salad was really good! Would not order the Brunswick stew again and the Mac and cheese was a bit dry. Banana pudding was good. Brisket has a lot of fat. Corn bread was a bit dry…I should have asked for some butter for it. Pretty small space but we were there on a festival weekend…so busier than usual… nice outdoor seating spaces though. If we go back, we’ll find what we like and stick to ordering such.

We are new in town and stopped here because we wanted a cup of coffee. Turns out it wasn't what we thought it was but we decided to grab lunch instead. Boy am I glad we did! It is a cute little spot with music jammin outside, service was excellent and the food was DELICIOUS!! My husband got the Cuban and I got the BBQ pimento cheese and they were sooo good thay we had to go back the next day for another. Highly recommend this spot for some good BBQ.

Honestly over the last few months I've noticed a lot of changes. The staff has changed multiple times. The food quality has gone downhill as well as the service. Last time in there was just a couple days ago, my pimento melt had no proper meat. It was just fat, cheese, and sauce. I threw it away after 3 bites and examining it. Don't even get me started on the cook wearing a shirt that's too small for him and his stomach showing.

This is one of the best places to eat, enjoy friends and local entertainment! I have had the Greek Salad topped with Smoked pulled pork and a sweet potato casserole side, the Turkey Sandwich with mashed potatoes, and the Beef tacos with mexican street corn. Even the cake balls and German Chocolate cake are AMAZING!! Service is top notch and friendly. Highly recommended!!!Vegetarian options: They do offer a veggie menu!

Even though we only live a mile away, this was our first visit to Local Joe's. I'm not a meat-eater, but my husband had really been wanting to try it after being able to smell it all over town. The smokey BBQ pit fragrance lured him in!Right away we thought the place was very cute and loved the cozy feel inside. It was a blast from the past to think that this building was the tiny post office in town when I was a child. The decor is cheerful and not overwhelming. We were glad there were no loud TVs playing, like so many restaurants have these days. The blues music they had on was pleasant and fit the theme.We were a little surprised and disappointed that there is no kid's menu. It would've been nice to have more options for our daughter, like maybe a basic grilled cheese sandwich or something like that. She had the nachos and enjoyed them, but said the cheese was a little spicy for her. (It wasn't too spicy for an adult though.) She also had a side of macaroni and wanted to get more, but they were sold out shortly after we had gotten our order.My husband loved his BBQ pork sandwich and was happy they had Texas Pete on every table. I was a little surprised they didn't have different types of BBQ sauces on the tables to chose from, or even when ordering...it is the basic barbecue sauce, not the vinegar style. This wasn't a big deal, but wanted to mention it in case different sauces are your thing.I just ordered some sides for myself. I wish there had been a "veggie plate" option, but I had to individually order the sides. The potato salad was absolutely delicious...some of the best I've ever had! I also had baked beans, macaroni and cheese, and vinegar slaw. It was all great, although I wish the cabbage had been chopped up a little bit more in the slaw. I also took a chance and got a bowl of Brunswick stew. It was a little too thick and meaty for me, but my husband liked it, so we brought it home for him. I also got an additional side of potato salad and baked beans to take home, because they were so yummy!The staff were super friendly and efficient the entire time we were there. The restaurant is very clean and pleasant and I recommend trying it, especially if you love BBQ! Oh, they also have some desserts and baked goods that looked really good. I was too full, but we will have to get some of that next time. Happy to have this little place so close to home in our little town!

Southern BBQ gem in the one stoplight town of Cave Springs, GA. Walking distance from the cave in Rolater Park. Delicious meats, beans and fresh salads. The staff makes you feel like family. If you are passing through or on the hunt for great BBQ, definitely worth a stop.

Think of it as a catering business that runs a restaurant,attention to high quality food that the owner puts his own twist on and makes amazing food fair. Yes specials all the time. The chef makes a few different and special menu items for his customers everyday in addition to the regular menu items, and friendly pricing too. It's Not Over the Top, but good comfort food. Tastes delicious great atmosphere in a quiet intimate dining experience,maybe a little louder when they're packed but it's still fun experience great for families and friends traveling through Cave Springs just down the street from the main part of town off the beaten path almost a Secret but everybody should know this place is one of The Great Places To Eat!

This place has amazing food. My husband got the ribs, my mom got the brisket, and I had the smoked turkey BLT with tomato chutney. Ya'll, when I say that this is the best sandwich I have ever eaten...it was amazing. I was kinda surprised I have never had tomato chutney before. This stuff set the sandwich up and put it in another atmosphere!

This is a hidden gem in the back of town, with good barbecue, smiling staff, and a nice small sit down area. Me and my wife have eaten her more than once and the food has always been on par with flavor and quantity. The staff has been polite, but this isn't a sit down, sever comes over, type of place. You go up, order, and then get your food and sit or take it home. The atmosphere is modest but clean and tidy. The food is wonderful if you want something with flavor and need a little variety or if you like barbecue. They have a great Brunswick stew, which everyone else seems to run out of for some reason. This is a + to go try if you are visiting and in town.

My dad and I went in there to get something to snack on. This lovely lady was super sweet and got us a sample of everything. The food was amazing. We got smoked turkey, brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. Definitely recommend eating there.

Had the nachos & they were delicious! Adorable local small town feel, when we arrived we were welcomed by 4 horses and their cowboys outside which was a cool surprise! Paid $30 for 2 people including tip! Nice prices, great food, service was great too! Very low key relaxing place with very nice people! Highly recommend!

I am a BBQ fanatic and quick to stop at the little bbq places and stands because that's where all the best bbq is. Local Joe's did not disappoint to not only meet my standards but to go above and beyond as the best baby backs I've ever had. I wish I had taken pictures, but the smell was what brought me in, and it was the best baby back ribs I've ever had. It was my first time there, and the guy (I think owner?) gifted my toddler girls and myself some cake balls, on the house, and I was just so grateful. The baby backs were thick, meaty, smoky, and so juicy! The white sauce was amazing, too. Let's not forget the cake balls. They were extremely moist and delicious! Even though I live about 30 mins away, this is definitely my new favorite bbq place!

This place looks real cute in pictures; you'd think this was a genuine southern BBQ restaurant, well you would be WRONG! It takes more than DECENT food and some cute pictures to make people want to return to an establishment, after seeing the way the MANAGEMENT treats their employees saying things such as " F them kids we don't need em" MAKES ME SICK, you hire these young adults. Make them work multiple double shifts and then yell and cuss them WITH CUSTOMERS AROUND to hear and see is appalling! These kids are from ages 17-23 being treated like trash, and when the manager is mad they make them do so much extra, and expect them to smile in the customers faces. REAL southern food is made from love, in establishments where employees are treated KINDLY! Not this disgusting excuse for a business. GOOD LUCK replacing them kids, cause I promise you wont speak to ADULTS like that!!

As I’m enduring my 3 hour wait at Linda Marie’s I walked down and picked up a sample plate from Local Joes. WOW, smoked turkey is some of the best I’ve had. Pork is also great. Highly recommend!! Next time I’m in town I’ll save some time and eat at Local Joes

We drove through town and found Local Joes via Google maps. We are so glad we did! Out food came out quickly and I had an excellent Cuban sandwich. If we lived closer we would be regulars!
