Great place for a self-serve pet wash. They also have dog treats, dog food, and all your other pet needs. We used the pet washing station and it was a pleasant experience. We were provided everything necessary in our private room. This included shampoo, conditioner, multiple brushes, towels, ear cleaning swabs, and a leash to hold her in the tub.The young lady working the store even gave us some snacks since it was our first time.

This place makes grooming your pet easy. There are 2 rooms that are nicely set up with all the supplies. Make sure to call or make an appointment online prior to visiting. The grooming appointment was a 30 minute time slot for one room that was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, brushes and towels ($18).

What a great 1st experience my puppy Astro and I had there today! The bathing room was clean and all supplies were ready for us. Next time, I will bring my wallet so i can buy a few treats from their well-stocked shelves.

Went in to purchase some stuff for our little dog who was throwing up all night, and the woman working up front ( so sorry I didn’t catch her name) was super helpful and kind.I was in a rush and stressed out but the suggestions and advice was exactly what I needed ! The place has anything you might need. Will return!

Very cute little boutique pet store. I love taking my training client dogs to the Avondale location to use the dog wash because it's quiet and safe which means the dogs are less stressed, has everything you need to bathe your dog, and you can schedule it in advance online.They also sell good quality food and treats and even some other gear like leashes and collars.The staff are always friendly and always have the wash room ready for us when we arrive. It's definitely a place I'll keep coming back to.

I've enjoyed having a place to wash & dry my dog as it has kept my bathroom free from an abundance of dog hair. The employees have been nice and friendly. The store seems to have a selection of dog/cat food, collars, leashes & tasty treats.The past 2 years however seem to have hurt City Dog Market of Avondale. They had 2 self-serve dog bath stations and they are now down to one. The wash station broke early 2020(?) And one of the dog hair dryers is also broken. Maybe the market doesn't make enough business to sustain 2 dog washing stations?Please visit and purchase at least one small object from this locally owned business, after all if this Market doesn't survive all that will be left in our area are big chain stores.

Absolutely amazing pet store. I don't live in the neighborhood any longer but I still pop in when I'm around just to check out the toys. This store has a great selection of treats and food that I can't see any reason why you wouldn't choose to come in, interact with the friendly staff, get what you need, and return home to a happy pup. Atlanta has so many amazing local pet stores that I would never think of visiting a pet store chain.

I was unaware I needed to schedule the dog washes online, but luckily it was slow and we were allowed to have a quick bath before heading to a vet appointment. They keep bath card information in their system so no actual card is needed. The baths themselves are well appointed and clean. They have two rooms with doors, aprons, various shampoos and conditioners, as well as tools that help clean pups. The rest of the store is small, but lots of interesting higher end foods and treats.

This place is great. The staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable. They’ve definitely helped me through the process of being a first time dog owner. They’ve got a great selection of dog food, treats, toys, and so much more. If you live in the area, it’s worth the drive. You can even bring your pup with you!

Lived in this area for years and only just made my way into this store. If you've made the same mistake as me, I highly suggest fixing it. This place offers so much for reasonable prices. Always thought it would be high-end prices, but they're competitive with grocery store pet products, but offer healthier options. But what really impressed me with this place was how friendly the staff was. Offered several helpful tips for my dog, and they weren't just trying to make a sale. Absolutely love this place and will be back all the time.

The folks that run this store are top-notch .. very consultative and educating. They care a lot about our dogs and providing quality products and services (dog wash) to make it convenient. Took my Great Pyrenees a few months ago, and the woman working was soooo patient and loving, as Lola wanted to gobble up all the treats in the store. Highly recommend CDM! .. pH

Great local spot. Not a huge selection of foods but does have taste of the wild, which I do use. Everything is all natural and good for our furry friends. Prices are a bit high as you would expect but not unreasonably so. Very friendly staff. They also thru in a couple of free treat samples which buddy absolutely loved.

Great local pet store, with tons of treat options! Only downside for me is that they charge much more - about $5 a bag - for the same dog food I've been buying for years from several different places. I don't have very many other options for this particular food, or else I would probably go elsewhere. At least it's a nice place to visit though!Edit: Changed my review from 4 stars. The customer service I have recieved from this location has been awsome! Definitely deserving of 5 stars.

I believe the guy working was the owner, either way he is truly awesome! He was very knowledgeable about everything we talked about and even though the store did not have exactly what I was looking for, he offered to get it delivered for me. Such a cute shop! Definitely worth a trip.

We appreciate this store being so close by in Avondale. They have a great dog washing set up for our dog that's scared of bath time. Also they carry a great selection of treats and high quality dog and cat food.

I used to drive from Decatur to Brookhaven just to support this amazing, locally owned business; therefore, this Avondale Estates location came right on time. Though it's substantially smaller, it has all of the essentials that I need for my dog.

My Pitty had a skin irritation and they recommended Remedy Recovery for hot spots, red spots, weeping and irritation which helped with is pain and scratching and licking all the time. They saved me at least a couple of hundred at the vetinarians bill.
