Drove 30 miles to come during Mardi Gras weekend and wasn’t disappointed! Much closer than New Orleans. Had a great time with great food! Will be back!Food: Served hot and fresh! Ordered the Cajun fish and a side of beignets. Be careful on the beignets they trap heat inside! The beignets are huge and delicious. The chef is Ethiopian and it’s his own recipe. Slightly darker flavor beignets than if you compare to cafe du monde. The fish was fantastic. It’s a huge filet and breaded in a Cajun cornmeal with a side of Cajun grits. Honest 10/10 for that.Service: super friendly staff and was willing to help. Food was served quickly.Atmosphere: I love the decorations on the inside and the music on the outside, but as a suggestion add some of that festive music on the inside and the decorations on the outside. The place was a bit difficult to find because it is attached to another restaurant that is closed down. This place needs a bigger sign to attract more people! I drove by it without seeing it. One other suggestion is for those eating in a higher end plastic wear and plates may add to the ambience.Overall I’m giving this place 5/5. Definitely need to support more local flavor like this!

Delicious fresh food. I had the chicken po’boy and the beignet bites. Tried the fries as well. I really love the fresh ingredients on the Poboy that balance out the fried chicken. The hot sauce was delicious. The beignets were fresh and light. Everything was made to order. I also had the pumpkin pie frappe and it was very smooth and creamy.

Loved everything about Yay Beignet! We are from Arizona and had wanted to try Beignets while in Atlanta for the day. Yay Beignet did not disappoint. We ordered beignets, the shrimp po'boy, the chicken biscuit sandwich and an egg & cheese biscuit. The shrimp po'boy was so good, the sauce is spicy, but not to the point of setting your mouth on fire, just gives it a good flavor. Same for the chicken biscuit. My dad loved the egg & cheese biscuit too.The beignets were wonderful. Fluffy and sweet! The staff working were very kind and helpful. Parking was convenient, right in front of the restaurant. I believe it’s free parking if you’re eating there, at least that was the case when we visited on a Sunday.Parking: Although there is a sign that asks you to scan the QR code to pay for parking, the staff told us parking is free if you’re dining there. We went on a Sunday.

I had the fried fish biscuit and a chai latte and it was absolutely amazing! The biscuit was light and fluffy and the fish, oh my, seasoned and fried to perfection! It was super fresh and the portion is perfect! It was so good that I had to grab my husband a fish po boy to go because he wasn’t with me.The line was thick when I arrived but service was great and efficient!I highly recommend Yay Beignets! Do not let the small space fool you. You will be back for more! I know I will! It is simply delectable!

George was so kind! The place is very easy to find with signs outside and jazzy music that pulls you into New Orleans before you even step into the place! My friends it is super important to read the reviews and go with your gut when ordering! I came for the beignets but I left with the Cajun fish and grits as well! I am SO thrilled I went with my gut because the texture of the grits is amazing, the fish fry is on point, and the cajun sauce has the perfect balance of spice to compliment the other layers of flavors that quite literally made me do a little dance! If you don’t know what to get, definitely leave with the cajun fish and grits! The beignets are so so fluffy and surprisingly not greasy despite just being fried! I appreciate the generosity of the powdered sugar and the slight crunch of the golden outside. Very satisfying brunch!!Dietary restrictions: Almond & Oatmilk options available!!

I found this little gem after seeing it on instagram. The beignets were larger than I expected, made fresh to order and very good! Then I ordered a dirty chai tea which was equally yummy... But then I was offered a very bespoke cup of Ethiopian coffee that took the experience from 4-5! The location needs work, however the food and hospitality won me over!

Yay Beignet is such a vibe! They have perfected the recipe for fried catfish. The catfish and grits were the perfect combination of creamy and crispy. The biscuits are everything you need; flaky, moist, and a perfect companion for the fish. The beignet bites were amazing in both the chocolate sauce and the cinnamon sauce. Last but most important, the people were nice. Good customer service is hard to come by and Yay Beignet’s staff understands the assignment. I can’t wait to visit again!

This fish biscuit is so good I had to write the review while eating it. Best Fish Biscuit in Atlanta! Fresh and flavorful. Biscuit is bomb! Ethiopian coffee was so smooth! I also ordered the beignets and they were soft covered in delicious powdery sugar. I took mine to go, but I sensed in the short time waiting that the atmosphere is nice. The owners were really kind and you could see the staff rolling out the fresh dough for the beignets. I will be back

The fish and grits was so good! I honestly think it was some of the best fried fish I have ever had. It was crispy and flavorful. And of course, you have to get the beignets! The folks working were so kind and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We are from Ohio, and have wanted to try beignets since Princess and the Frog came out lol. I saw something on FB about this place and we drove to visit today. I'll give my honest opinion:Pros: the catfish with the fish and grits was phenomenal, though I didn't get "cajun" taste and the sauce to me tasted like Frank's hot sauce. Since I don't have a comparison of beignets, I think they were good but the sauce prices were a bit high for the size. The guy on the register was so sweet and had great customer service.Cons: we ordered two salted caramel iced lattes by suggestion of the employee. It quickly became apparent that he had no idea how to make them. My daughter was very put off that after adding an ingredient and reblending he'd pour some out and taste it right in front of us. He then kept asking us what texture they should be, etc. After he kept trying, we just opted to quit because our food had been sitting and ready for awhile. We then had to wait while he tried to figure out how to refund us for the drinks. Eventually someone did it over the phone. I'm hoping it works out, because we don't live close. It was hard to get upset or impatient because he was just so nice, and was really trying. The location is great, but upon walking in and the visual of the ceiling, walls, floors and kitchen did make it hard for us to commit to ordering food. I'd like to try the beignets again. But I wouldn't recommend ordering coffee unless the person has experience with what they're making.

The beignets here are so light and fluffy with a warming spiced nutmeg flavor. The nutmeg flavor is light but adds a delicious depth. The beignets were $5 for 3 large beignets. The ethiopian coffee was delicious as well. There are non dairy milk options like oat milk. The owner was so welcoming and kind! Highly recommend this cafe for a quick sweet treat, breakfast or lunch. There are many beverage options and lunch options as well.

I had been looking for a beignet place in Atlanta and now I have my go-to place. Good size and fluffiness and came out nice and hot. We also tried the Cajun chicken biscuit. It was a little smaller than I expected (hand in picture is child hand) but it was really good flavor. Cajun-y but not too spicy. Nice seating that was kid friendly.

First time I got an order of 6 beignets a regular latte to go. My second time here was yesterday 3/19/23 and I dined in. Reviews were good so it motivated me to try. New Orleans is like my second home so I miss beignets. The beignets taste so good and remind me of Cafe du Monde. I also tried the Cajun fish and grits. The fish was crispy with a nice Cajun sauce drizzle and the grits were yummy with a creole flavor that blends nicely. Customer service is A1. All the ladies there greeted everyone and make sure you feel welcome. They check on you often to see if you have everything you need and actually show they enjoy working there. I’ve only been 2 times but this is my favorite new place to be. Good customer service each time. The great energy and food is appreciated!Parking: Smaller size parking in front of restaurant. More spacing in a back shared parking area behind Yay beignet.Kid-friendliness: A nice treat for the kiddos. I saw children enjoying themselves with family.Wheelchair accessibility: There is enough room to move comfortably and no stairs.

The beignet's here are pretty good but the service and coffee is awful. The front cashier didn't say a single word to us. Not a single word. Not a "hello", "Is that all?" "you're welcome" or "here's your coffee." The customer service was far below average for Atlanta. The vibes here are best described as a sketchy garage sale. There are dollar store table cloths on folding tables and just a general "hole in the wall" vibe (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but pared with the service it makes for a very creepy and bad vibe). The coffee here was clearly burnt. I'm not sure if its a new machine or if they just don't know how to make espresso. My partner ordered a mocha and instead got a cup full of syrup. My vanilla latte had no syrup just too much milk and the taste and odor of burnt grounds. The beignet's are pretty tasty, but they charge you a $1 for the smallest cup of chocolate syrup you could imagine (luckily for us the mocha had the rest of it).

4.0 | this place is giving hidden gem. I would love to come here on a late evening after an amazing date and make it “our spot.” it just gives “iykyk.” it’s not overly cute-sy, it’s not Instagrammable. it’s just fresh beignets that taste really good. the coffee left a bit to be desired, but that’s okay. the beignets were really better than Cafe Du Monde, but maybe not better than Miss Loretta’s Pralines [to me], New Orleans staples. however, if you’re into the chewy more dough-y beignets, you’d love these. I am typically into the more flaky beignets but this one, I definitely also enjoyed. if you’re in Atlanta and want your beignet New Orleans fix, I would normally say just go to New Orleans, but this is the spot in Atlanta that I would gladly recommend. but please, keep it hush hush. very iykyk. I want this hidden gem to be successful but not overly crowded! 😩
