Alarria is amazing! She cuts my miniature golden doodle regularly. The first groomer where his separation anxiety doesn’t show at all, he’s super comfortable with her and she always does an amazing job. He seems genuinely happy when coming and leaving as well which is huge for me. She truly cares for the animals while she grooms. She’s also extremely accommodating with scheduling appointments, understanding your requests and following up often which is super valuable to me. 10/10 recommend!

Poor experience with the groomer. I asked for a sanitary cut and brush out- I’ve had the service done twice before, this time they decided to shave her. When I called confused they said they just assumed because I put haircut I wanted a shave. They left a giant clump of hair on her belly of various lengths- so didn’t do a thorough job of doing a shave I didn’t even want. Normally I can understand mistakes or misunderstandings- but he became rude and refused to admit he was wrong. No apologies, just stating that I should have expected it?! My very fluffy kitten turned into a weasel. Very upset.

Update! My experience at the Petset is back on track. I highly recommend their new groomer Nicole. She has taken care of my elderly doggie and has done an incredible job. She even took the time to take pictures during her grooming session to make sure the length and style was to my liking. I’m happy to be back at the PetSet and that it really was a one time mishap.************I have been a costumer at The PetSet for over 10 years and had always had a great experience. I’m not entirely sure if there is new management or ownership but today’s experience was truly appalling. The new groomer Corey was very rude while I was dropping my dog off. He completely disregarded my instructions and the notes from the previous groomer. My dogs face was a little matted so I understood that the area might had to be a little shorter than the usual however Corey took it upon himself to completely shave my dog after I specifically asked him not to.Upon pick up, I was shocked to see me dog. To make matters worse the manager didn’t take any ownership. He didn’t even attempt to mediate the situation and completely disregarded my concerns. I have never in over ten years of experience with this establishment been so upset, dissatisfied and disappointed.I truly hope that this was a one time mishap and not the new norm. Would not recommend to anyone if this is the new norm.The previous groomers have been amazing and I wish they hadn’t left. It is very unfortunate that this happened because I truly enjoyed this location up until today.

FOR YOUR PET HEALTH, DO NOT COME!!!I have to say they are really good at passing the buck. After grooming and before I took my cat back to home, I saw he’s dropping tears heavily and with liquid green eye boogers. And the eye on the right is hard to open. I never saw that happened before. I thought it’s not a big deal - maybe just too upset for taking a shower, and it will get better soon, so I take him back to home. In these 3 days, my cat has been dropping tears heavily all day and come with a huge amount of eye boogers. I have to clean his eyes very frequently these days. His right eye seems hard to open then the other. Then I started to think he might get eye infected after that grooming. So I called the grooming shop for help. No surprise - they didn’t not want to take any responsibility at all. Recipient pushed the call to the manager and the manager pushed the call to groomer, and groomer insisted is not their problem. What’s more ridiculous is the groomer said my cat just allergic to other things like food, or environment… He is a indoor cat, and I treated him the same foods every day before and after grooming… I really hate myself these days of spending over $130 to this place, and my cat got eye infections. I’ll take him to the vet to see what’s happening. But one thing i know is I will NEVER come to this place again!!!

After a traumatic experience with another groomer I was unsure if The Pet Set would be able to handle my feisty Shih Tzu puppy. I came to pick him up and he was calm and happy. He looked and smelled amazing. His hair was kept long like I requested. They took such great care of him. I will make the drive from my side of the city to them every time. Ashley was our groomer and he just loves her! He’s still a puppy so I haven’t cut his hair low yet. I appreciate them cleaning him up in the meantime!

We bring our 2 yo berniedoodle, Winston to Pet Set. They are always pleasant, efficient and do a great job. They work with us when it comes to scheduling, unlike others. Their prices are in line with Atlanta groomers but they are a pleasure to work with and do a very good job regardless of providing a simple bath or a full grooming appointment.

I was in search of groomer since my previous groomer closed due to an unexpected emergency. I called 10+ groomers and none had availability. Then I found The Pet Set Midtown! I booked for the next morning. To say the least, THESE PEOPLE ARE AWESOME! My dog now has a new groomer. Alarria provided amazing customer service and gave my 2 yr old GoldenDoodle the best grooming I’ve ever seen. My dog legit looks like a show dog now. I’ll be back soon. If you’re looking for a groomer, look no further.

I highly recommend Brittany, she listens to what you want and achieves it. We have 3 Scottish Terrier’s and 1 of them was her first puppy cut. Brittany did an amazing job on all 3 babies. We live in Chattanooga, TN. Over the past year in the past we’ve had a very hard time finding a groomer in town so I decided to try The Pet Set- Midtown and extremely pleased with the service we received from Brittany. We look forward to seeing her again in about 8 weeks. Thank you again for taking such good care of our babies.

I am not a fan of hidden fees, or whatever narrative you create to justify your pricing. What I am a fan of is upfront pricing and receiving a service that I paid for. My cats nails still need to be trimmed. We asked that you remove a nail cap (which was totally ignored because the cap is still on). And you want us to drive back on Tuesday so that you can finish the job we paid you to do on Saturday? And your receipt does not itemize your services. So you charge as you please? No thanks! You keep the $150.00.

Great price loved my dogs new summer do. He had a few Nick's but that could have been from fighting with his brother or the clippers. Either way still worth 5 stars cause it's genuinely a good place.

I’ve been taking my Tibetan Terrier Harvey to Pet Set since December 2021 and generally have been happy with his grooming. Previously I had him get full grooming and trims which ran around $80-$90 before tip. Once previously I had a $10 de-matting fee associated with his grooming.I’ve decided to grow his hair out and last month got him the mini-haircut for the first time. Essentially it’s a brush-out, shampoo, nail trim, and trimming around the face and feet. Last month it cost $67 to have done, perfectly reasonable given it’s less intensive than the full groom. Jade also did a great job with him that day.Today I took him back for another mini-haircut. When I picked him up I was shocked to be told that the cost was $110, nearly $50 more than I paid last month for the same service. The groomer said that he was “very tangled” and she charged a $40 de-matting fee. This was laughable as I brush/comb Harvey out pretty much every day at home to keep him from getting tangled. For $40 you’d expect he’d have to have extensive knots all over his body (he didn’t). They knocked the price down to $95 before tip which I paid. It’s absolutely ridiculous to be paying as much for a mini-haircut as I used to for a full groom. There was also no heads up from the store about an additional fee that was almost as much as the full service to begin with.The store doesn’t post their prices on their website but a customer generally expects to pay consistent prices for the same service. I’ve been a loyal customer since I’ve had my pup, but I’ll seriously think twice before bringing him back.

Did not like the service. They didn't do anything I requested. My husband called them to see what happened after I realized they cut her twice. Groomer insisted it was because ingrown hairs. I was not born yeaterday, I used to groom her myself. If you know better look for a better groomer.I won't be coming back.

I brought my girl in for her grooming appointment and after 4 hours of not hearing from them I called to see if everything was ok. They told me she was great and ready to be picked up. When I got there they brought her out to me and she had bruises all over her face! I demanded to know what happened. I was horrified. They told me she tried to escape from her crate and kept trying to get out and that their solution was to put her in a different crate. I have taken her here a few times before and this has never happened. And they never called me! If this was happening why was I not called immediately! I would have gotten her right away. They handed her to me as if nothing happened. I was in complete shock. I spoke with the manager who refunded me (least of my worries) and kept apologizing for them not reaching out to me. I then asked if they had cameras and have spoken to the groomer about what happened and to understand why I was not called. I just want to know why this happened. They had done neither of those things! I will NEVER bring her here again

This was my first time here and I would give them more stars if I could. My Yorkie was in dire need of a groom and they did an excellent job and were very quick as well. When I picked her up I brought our Chihuahua and French bulldog to get their nails trimmed. The groomer was great and my pups look super and have nicely groomed nails! I will definitely be back.

*the sign was out two weeks ago- regardless I don’t mind spending money to get my baby groomed but the prejudice against pitts is disappointing.Very disappointed. Called for a bathing appointment for my dog and they asked me his breed for pricing. The sign out front says a cheaper rate than they quoted me so I asked why that was (thinking it was because of weight even though I didn’t tell them his weight). They said: “because your dog is a Pitt mix it will be more expensive whether he is 10 pounds or 80 pounds. For example if your dog was a poodle it would be less expensive”. My Pitt mix has half an inch of hair compared to a poodle. He just needed a bath but they wanted to charge me more than a poodle that needs full grooming! I understand there are people who are scared of his breed and others who simply judge the breed. If you aren’t comfortable with washing him then I would prefer you simply say that or even ask his temperament. He is the sweetest teddy bear and is very socialized as he goes to daycare twice a week!

UPDATE! 3/1/2023 I unfortunately have to update this review and take it down to one star. The reason is because I was notified the day before our grooming appointment (yesterday)that our groomer was no longer working there and that they would have to schedule us with one of their other groomers. That was not a problem for us, the problem was that the $45 base price we had been paying for over a year would now change to $115! What in the world!? Our dog is groomed there every 5 -6 weeks and he's the easiest dog. We have always had a great experience there but to suddenly have a base price jump that much is absurd!

Refusing to acknowledge the fact that they hurt a dog they groomed and only offering a 30% discount. This dogs paws have been bleeding for two days now since visiting them. I have been taking my animals to a local groomer and never ever have they had their nails clipped to the point of bleeding . I understand mistakes can happen but on two paws and multiple toes? This was not a mistake , just someone untrained getting a hold of him. Do not bring your pets here. They really do not know how to handle them or error situations.

The staff here has always been pretty knowledgeable when ever it came to health questions and advice i had for my 13 year old shi tzu , and honestly one of their previous staff members helped cure a year in a half long ear infection that no veterinarian seemed to be able to properly diagnose or cure, i just kept being told his ear infection was becoming resistant to all antibiotics. well fast forward to one day stopping in to pick up eye wash I asked one of staff members did they have any advice on products for an ear infection , they asked questions , i gave answers and voila they stated it sounded like a simple food allergy, gave me a specific food to try and in a week his year in half ear infection that no vet was able to help with , his ear cleared up .Well after that amazing experience i decided to get him groomed here . Unfortunately the employee who helped me was no longer their but no worries .HORRIBLE grooming experience the cut was terrible their was so much hair in his poor eyeballs and he already suffers from cataracts , he didn’t smell like shampoo or anything .And when he was finished i got a text that said he was ready , I said okay I will be their with in a hour to grab him, I received a text about 15 minutes after that which said , can you please hurry to pick up Snoopy as he just peed in his cage “ I thought that was a very insensitive and concerning text.And lastly the biggest issue he developed some sort of skin rash a few days after being groomed ..So definitely not on my list of recommendations.

I have long hated and not looked forward to clipping my dogs nails for multiple reasons: (1) she has anxiety and it is nearly impossible for me to do it by myself (2) when I have attempted to book an apt at other establishments the process has been unreliable at best. Over the years, this combo has meant I have massively put off nail trimmings, but after my first experience at The Pet Set - Midtown, I will be back for sure!I did walk-up service and the process was simple and pain free for all of us! Best of all, I was able to hold/ease my dog while they did the nail grinding, definitely helped make the experience the best possible for my stressed out pup.

Buzz cut came out good on my 15 pound terrier, but was told I needed to pay $30 more due to him being aggressive with his nails, which has never happened in 8 years. Also coincidentally, his nails are not filed and clean but chipped and rough. Will not return

We took our dog several times in hopes that the experience would get better. First off, the girl that answers the phone always sounds burdened by having to answer the phone. She needs to go work at Xhale City and sell vape juice, where her vibe will make more sense. It’s consistent enough to mention it in my review. Second, no matter how much maintenance and preparation we’ve done on our pup, the groomer shaves him down every time. He’s ignored our instructions 100% of the time. He’s totally ignored our reference pics. It’s like once we drop our dog off, anything that was said is abandoned & forgotten. Every single visit. I have politely expressed my concerns but was always told that it needed to be done. Which, over time, I have discovered to be false. My mom picked up grooming and actually has a knack for it & has been grooming our dog for the last couple months without any issues. Thirdly, they forget to clip his nails almost every visit. Ive wasted about 600 bucks at Pet Set trying to establish a relationship & routine/groove with them. I don’t like to drop accusations without evidence but my dog was always returns in a frightened & depressed state when we used Pet Set. I know my dog & its most definitely unusual behavior. My conclusion is that lots of people prob assume that, because of the location, The Pet Set is a high end business. It aint. It’s a cash grab & they overbook. They can shave a dog tho.

I love this place! The workers are super courteous and helpful. They will help you find the perfect items for your pet. Their products are of the highest quality. Prices are more than a chain store, but I don’t mind. The grooming services are the best I’ve experienced. My dog is a lab/pit mix, but the groomers and bathers just see a sweet, loving dog. They talk to him and let him. Others places won’t even take my dog in because of the prejudice against his breed. Thank you Per Set for your consistent and amazing service!!

This was Mateo’s (10 month old golden doodle/labradoodle) first visit to Pet Set. And it was a great experience. They had him groomed within a couple of hours and he looked adorable. Will definitely be coming back for future haircuts and grooming. I did also want to note they were super flexible about rescheduling.

Horrible services all around I would not recommend anybody bring there pet to this location. Three hours after dropping off my dog I called to see if where my dog was in his process. They claimed he had not been seen at all and that there were 3 dogs ahead of him. His estimated wait time was at least four more hours I did not want my dog to be locked up in a kennel for 7 plus hours so within 10 mins of the phone call I was at the location to pick up my dog and had to wait about 5-10 mins for them to bring him out. They claimed they bathed him even though his chest and belly area had obviously not been properly washed. They wanted to initially charge me over $50 for a bad service that I’m assuming was rushed in 10mins. The manager on site did not want to speak to me at all and just threatened to call the police for theft of service. I asked to speak to someone above her and was eventually led to who I was told was the owner Sway. He would not listen to any complaints and finally cursed at my wife and I over the phone and threaten us with the police. I have never seen a establishment with such poor service.
