First time pet owner here. I spontaneously came home with a puppy a couple of weeks ago and I had absolutely nothing prepared. Inman Park Pet Works was our first stop. The customer service reps were so warm, knowledgeable, and patient. They answered all of my questions and helped me navigate purchasing everything I would need as a first time dog mom. I highly recommend IPPW. Max and I will definitely be back.

Been going here for 13 years and I trust them with my dog’s care just as much as my vet. First-time pet owner (like I was over a decade ago) or experienced dog trainer, this locally-owned business has something for you. Great place to give your dog a bath as well. I purchase Acana for my husky rescue and she’s approaching 15 years of age. They even sell White Oak Pastures dog chews! Best pet chews you can get on the market.

I've been shopping here the last year and didn't mind the overpriced items, especially for the great quality and selection offered, in addition my pet trainer raved about this place. However, the staff were rarely friendly and carried a more standoffish and smug vibe in the store. Until recently, this came to light when I returned a few different brands of foods. My pup's 10months and a pretty picky eater and we're trying to figure out which brand/food works best for his sensitive tummy. His vet and canine nutritionist both recommended to switch him to a grain diet, the bags of food that were purchased were grain free. I was told that the return policy for the store is, if for any reason you're not satisfied with your purchase (one being, your pup is not a fan of the food) they would accept your return in exchange for store credit. This is NOT the case, since the lady with the short black hair said that she cannot accept multiple bags from different brands (a few that were not opened, which would qualify as an actual return). She was incredibly rude and smug about the matter and told me that I should go to PetSmart, as if their store is the only superior pet supply store in their area. After processing my final return, they tried to double charge me for the new items I had purchased and clearly had a problem doing the math as it related the exchange credits applied. I'm all for supporting local businesses, but I will no longer be supporting this small, overpriced and rude place of business. They think that they're competent about pet nutrition when neither of them holds a canine nutrition certification, I would recommend doing your own research and consulting with canine nutritionists before taking their advice on pet nutrition. FYI - The Clean Dog Inc, Park Pet Supply Inc & The Whole Dog Market offer much more reasonable prices and a better variety of superior brands/supplies. I also think that your skin color matters in this store, the old lady in particular seems to have a problem with humans of color. This store needs an upgrade of staff, bring in younger, knowledgeable/certified and vibrant individuals, it'll make a huge difference.

This is not the only local neighborhood pet food store but it is my favorite. The selection is diverse. The food is healthy. All of the workers are knowledgeable on what they have to offer.

I love this store! The whole staff is incredibly helpful and it is a very enjoyable place to shop. They carry quality products and they know their stuff. They also have a great area for dog washing. Always clean and very easy to use. I started shopping here when I lived in the neighborhood, but I’ve moved pretty far away and still continue to go out of my way to shop with them because I trust them and really want to support them. They are a great independently owned local business and I highly recommend trying them out!

Friendly super knowledgeable staff. I bought a harness for my Doberman and she knew exactly how to adjust it before I even put it on my dog. Saved a lot of time fiddling around with adjustments and the prices were fair maybe a $2-3 more than amazon but totally worth it for the speed and helpfulness of staff. They also have an excellent amount of delicious treats for pups! Would definitely go back and recommend.

My dog would give this place 5 stars for sure, he loves it here and will pull me towards if when we're out on a walk. The people here are very nice and helpful and their selection of high quality foods is fantastic. However, their prices are very high. I do like to support local businesses, but can't afford to do all my dog shopping here. Their sweater selection is fantastic and they had a great selection of Halloween costumes as well - I was very impressed given the size of the store. All in all, a great place, but pricey.

This is my one-stop shop for all my pup's needs. Laura, Shelly and the rest of the team are not only lovely people but are experts in your pet's needs. Their advice turned around a really severe allergy my dog developed when we moved to Atlanta -- a drug-free solution thanks to a quality, limited ingredient dog food brand. I love the selection of healthy, single ingredient treats too. Pop in to peruse their impressive stock of quality goods, or just to let your pup enjoy a few minutes in this oasis ;)

This is a neat little pet shop. They offer a variety of different foods, treats, and apparel. They offered a product I was looking for that nobody else carried. One of the kind ladies gave me some great information on a food that I was thinking about switching too. The shop itself is also adorable. Great place to accessorize your canine companion.

We absolutely love this pet supply store. We only treat our pets with the best quality food and this is one of the best places in Atlanta to find it. Nice selection, helpful staff. Stocks more pricey, high-quality items and prices for dog food are ever so slightly higher than say Pet Supermarket. But they sell six-pack bully sticks for a price that can't be beat; within walking distance to the Belt Line, etc. Will continue to shop here.

Best pet store in Atlanta. I drive past a lot of pet stores to get to this one. They have extensive knowledge on their products and always have great recommendations. They don't try to push a higher priced item like some places. They understand animal nutrition better than my vet.

This store has toys and more for dogs and cats that I have never seen anywhere else. One toy we bought for our cat that was a big hit was found online for four to seven times the price found here. Plus, the clerks are helpful without being intrusive. They also carry the more esoteric lines of dog and cat food if you have a special diet for your cat or dog. Free Hershey kisses on the counter the days I've been there - reason alone to go back.

Visited this store after shopping at another pet store for a couple of years. I once was a regular customer here. I gave them two stars because their Acana dry dog food is $3 less than the other store. However, on this particular day, Friday, Feb. 17 will be my last day going into this rude employee store. The old lady at the counter watched me like a hawk and couldn't answer my question because she thought I might run out the store with an item. I didn't have a heavy coat on and only had my billfold so it had to be the color of my skin that made her treat me as a criminal. The Asian employee tried to be nice until the older lady called her to the counter and began whispering. I should have asked for a refund and walked out.

Really enjoy this place. I went in not knowing a thing about the doggy I just rescued, and Kelly helped me thoroughly. She pointed me in the right direction for economic food and let me know of their other services and return policy's, which are also very fair and consumer friendly.

Always great service. Punch card discount for toys and supplies AND get 13th bag free for dog food. Excellent selection of treats, toys, food, and supplies. Dog bathing area is very nice and very convenient.

Our go to place for pet presents! They have a great selection of toys and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Parking is easy as well - there are designated spots right outside the shop.

Does not carry blue buffalo. Bones are very overpriced and as a repeat customer I've rarely had a friendly encounter when shopping there. Prefer the Krog market pet store and the same treats are for less and very friendly service.
