The staff was very patient and helpful. My daughter literally checked every hamsters in the store and the staff was kind enough to bring down each cage and dig through the beddings to find them.

We drove over an hour to get to this store as they were the only one with what we needed in stock and it was worth it. The people were warm and happy to help. The fish were agile and appeared healthy and well cared for. We had a blast and we're in and out with some new additions to our pond family in minutes. I was initially going to post a bad review, but after some help from Daniela, I have had a great turnaround. My boyfriend and I are relatively experienced fishkeepers, and we went a month ago to look at their selection. We talked to an employee, and ended up buying what was labeled as a peacock eel. These eels usually grow to be about 2feet long and need lots of space, so we also upgraded to a 40 gallon tank- filter, substrate, decorations, etc. All came out to 250+$. However, after researching after having everything set up for a few weeks, we found out the eel had been mislabeled and was actually a half banded eel, which definitely didn’t require the large upgrade as they only grow 6-8 inches long. Upset, I called, expecting to be told there was nothing they could do to compensate for the mistake. However, Daniela completely understood, even though it had turned out the mistake was from the supplier mislabeling the eels they had received, and (I wasn’t looking for a full refund for something I wanted to keep, but I was a little fluffed about it) she offered to upgrade to the heater we need, and even gave us a discount on the supplies we would need to reoccupy our now empty 20 gallon tank with geckos. It was the best I could’ve expected! She even complimented how much our future geckos would love that we have a 20 gallon-long tank. There is a Petco we have been rather loyal to not even half a mile from our house, but we will definitely be switching ALL of our business to this PetSmart, including for our dog and cat, despite the longer drive. Daniela, thank you so much for the wonderful service and phone call! It truely made my day to have such exceptional service and consideration. Included are some pictures of our very happy eel, after having some of the frozen blood worms we had purchased from PetSmart! (Along with the blood parrot we also purchased that day)

I took my babies here to meet ShotVet and of course let them get a toy afterwards because they were so good getting their shots! The staff was very friendly even though my Jack-Russell-TERROR was anything but nice and pooped on the floor as soon as she walked in then proceeded to wrap me up in the leash while I was cleaning up her mess 😅😳🐶.

I just received my guinea pig not too long ago from this store. There was only one girl when I went because apparently the others all had ringworm. They said that she was cleared and didn’t have it but within the next couple weeks she developed two patches which are… BINGO ringworm. I’m so sad that she has to go through this and I will be calling to see if they can do something about it. This is crazy to me.. like how did they just miss that? I only recently noticed that it spread which is why I did not call sooner. When I first saw the patch I though she was just healing but apparently not.

The manager is always helpful. We've been in the store a couple of times in a week trying to get the right shipping crates and pads so he was super awesome when we had to switch a few things out.

Beth did a great job grooming my little Jax! He was a difficult customer with the claws. She halted when he wasn't compliant. Then called me. I gave her an idea of a different strategy to hold him and she was able to get his claws clipped! Her biggest priority was his safety! I am very thankful!

Always glad to go to my local PetSmart! So is Brady, my Black & Tan Coonhound pup!The overall community of Alpharetta seems to always be friendly and hospitable. Classic Georgian charm. If you’re traveling on the road and passing through, this is the PetSmart to go to — and it’s surrounded by EVERY department store, restaurant, boutique store, specialty store, service-based business, etc. that you can ever think of 😂 Welcome to North Point Alpharetta, y’all.Got Brady his two service dog vests and bed at this PetSmart. The red one broke after only 2-3 weeks of use (I put it in the washing machine twice, so maybe that had something to do with it), so I brought it back and paid a little extra for the more durable blue vest. The staff/management was more than accommodating in allowing me to exchange my item, even though I paid with cash and didn’t have my receipt. Thank you!

As a pet owner, you must visit this place. If not to just purchase items, then see the vet or dog trainer. It's for all pet lovers, honestly. I have a puppy, so that was my focus. It's nice to see pet owners walking around fellowship. I must add that they have pet adoptions also. Enjoy!!!!

Worse place ever for grooming. They first never called me that my appointment was canceled, I found out once I got there to drop off my puppy. Then they could not book me in for 2 weeks. Spoke to the manager they said they would try to fit us in over the weekend, and she would call me back, never received the phone call. Called back, and now they pushed my appointment even further. DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!! and are not reliable

Will not return to this location for grooming. Asked the groomers to be cautious in the sanitary grooming, aka my dogs private parts, and they clipped her too close AGAIN. It is painful for her to use the restroom, and she is currently wearing an inflated collar so that she does not lick herself raw. They offered to refund me after a phone call with feedback yesterday, but I have to go to the store to get my money back. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.

One of the most well-run pet stores I've ever been to. I received the care and attention of a small business with the good prices and larger selection of a big business.I first noticed how clean and healthy the fish are and was quickly greeted by the manager Tiffany when I had some questions about starting a small aquarium. Tiffany was extremely helpful, friendly, and runs a great team.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Wanted to make an appointment for my dogs nails to be cut only. Was told there was no time at all for a 5 minute nail grind. I asked for a week out. Nothing. As I listened to the groomers all talk pretty negatively while they thought I was on hold saying they aren’t going to waste their time on just a nail grind. The guy came back and said there is not a single opening for weeks. Soon as I got off the phone I went on the appointment online and saw 4 available full grooming spots available for September 5. So there’s no time for a 5 minute nail appointment? Or you just don’t feel like it? Take your grooming business elsewhere.

I have been regularly going to PetSmart for grooming. Always a good experience. While going to my appointment, I hit unexpected traffic which would bring me 16 minutes late to my appointment. I called immediately to let them know and told me they couldn't see me at all and would need to reschedule to another day as they are under staffed and can't see me. I was in the parking lot at the end of the conversation ready to walk in and they said I still can't come in. I understand being understaffed is hard and being late is not good for an appointment, but to be told that and not working with me, I will never be returning back again.

This PetSmart is way overdue for a remodel. The store has not had many improvements in 20 years, and shows it’s age compared to the Johns Creek and Roswell locations. It’s really dark inside the store, the fish section is run-down with tanks way paste their prime. It’s difficult to get help in the store, but I think they are dealing with staffing issues. The Johns Creek location is very bright on the inside, and seems cleaner with a better atmosphere and presentation of animals, products, etc. Hopefully corporate/ownership can join in on the revitalization around North Point and refurbish the store soon.

My first call to Pet Smart, Alpharetta store for my dog’s grooming appointment was very unpleasant experience.The lady who picked my call was very rude. Instead of helping me, she said she doesn’t have time to book an appointment for me & asked very rudely to book it online.With this kind of attitude towards new customers, I don’t think I will go to PetSmart again & I will also discourage my friends & family to use PetSmart.Totally bad experience.

Tomorrow is my cats birthday. We took him to the store to pick out a toy. We ended up coming home with a cat tower. We expected to get him a little cat toy or something but he is spoiled. Store was clean and employees were nice.The store was very nice to let me bring my cat in. He is well behaved though. Customers in the store pet him. Just be mindful of your pet if you bring them in. It can be a lot if there is a lot of people.

Took my lacy bug to GiGi. My dog hates grooming and was very scared and she took great care of my baby. Cut her just the way I wanted and took her time in being gentle with my pet. Thank you Gigi!!

I took my puppy in for his first grooming appointment. He was getting a puppy trim and not a full service groom. My dogs hair wasn't long and just needed to clean up around his eyes (very minimal), paw pads and a sanitary groom. When I picked him up, he was a completely different dog. His snout and around his eyes were clipped very short and it's choppy. The hair on his head was rounded out to where it looks like he is wearing a helmet. The sanitary clipping is so short my dog will not let me touch near his back legs. Extremely disappointed in the service I received and will not return. My playful pup lost his cute puppy face and looks stressed out. He was not groomed based off his breed and now looks like a poodle instead of a cavalier.

PetSmart on North Point Pkwy has been my “go to” pet store for years. Not only because it is convenient but it always has whatever pet needs I have. The inventory is good and the employees are friendly and helpful. The grooming service is very good.

Went in to buy a prong collar for my dog. Walked over to get assistance from the 2 girls talking to each other. I was noticed but not acknowledged. I spoke up and asked for assistance. The one who seemed like a supervisor had attitude, still didn't acknowledge me but told the new guy who was doing something else to help us. He said he didn't know anything about them and with attitude she said try. I needed someone with experience. I said, nevermind I will go somewhere else. I have to say this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. Took my business to Petco instead.

This PetSmart is great. The staff are kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Good supply for cats and dogs. The themed (holiday toys) items might sell out quickly but otherwise your furry friend should usually find something. The prices aren't competitive with buying online but convienence and being able to see items are worth a lot. The rewards program helps. They partner with Angels Among Us for dog adoption, who I don't recommend, so don't come to here for dog adoption.
