First time customer. I own a pet frog whom is very small, so finding places that sell small enough insects for him to eat that's also close by is hard.The shop and shop owner is very nice. Clean and professional with a lovely selection of products and pets! I purchased small crickets and a hydrating/nutrient padded gel for them. The crickets were all healthy and lively, and the gel I purchased is top quality. I'm still using it infact!Prices are also quite pleasing! Beating even prices on some online joints! I highly recommend this place and will be coming back.

We recently ordered and purchased a puppy from Barb. From the order date until the arrival of our puppy the overall experience was excellent. She was wonderful to do business with and she kept us up to date during the entire process. Thanks Barb we love our new Bischon (Rowdy) he’s the best. Nice little pet store. I went here a few times to get crickets for my lizard. Much cheaper than the pet store chains, and I haven't gotten any dead ones in the bag like I always do from the other stores. The owner is super nice too. I would go here every time I need crickets if I didn't travel for work. They also have small pets- fish, birds, and furry critters 😄 (just what I noticed, not sure of all). Lots of supplies. I think I even saw some horse supplies too? Check it out, nice little shop, great service and prices.

The owner is awesome and very informative. I took my seven year old son into to buy some fish 🐟. He worked and saved his own money, the owner talked to him and gave him some good info on his fish he brought and was very nice to him. Also when leaving she gave him a business card and told him to call anytime if he had any questions about his fish 🐠!

Just recently adopted a Golden Doodle from this place and bought two Beta fish. She was very knowledgeable about everything and was very helpful. We are so please with our new dog so glad we stopped in instead of traveling that day!

We went in to check out the puppies. As soon as you open the door a horrible smell hits you. In the dog room there was a candle lit, the door was closed so the smell was so strong in that room. That cant be good for the dogs. The dogs were in a small room in cages way too small. All of the puppies were sweet, but very pricey. There was a black goldendoodle there and it seemed sick. It's ears and paws were very hot, and it seemed lethargic. The poor baby wouldn't even lift its head, when I put my hand in it just laid its head on my hand. So Sad!**Response to the Owner- First of all, I have no clue who Carol is. I didn't speak to you about buying any of your dogs. You were with other people in the store, and we didn't even speak at all. If you are going to go off on someone, you might want to know what you are talking about.

I come here regularly because this is the only place I can find African Soft Fur rats for my Ball Python. She is growing like crazy because of the quality feed it can get here. Barb is knowledgeable about a variety of animals!

Purchased a snake that had 4 ticks on it, observed dead fish in a tank being eaten by other fish, you can tell the owner is trying and loves the animals but I think she needs help for the animals’ sake. I am saddened to see the hostile responses and defensive nature to any negative comments. Just do better and probably have less animals until it’s manageable for you. Please stop making excuses, old building and variety of animals doesn’t explain the situation if you’ve actually experienced it. City is very aware of the issues, so honestly I tend to blame them more than the owner so I give two stars. I want this place to succeed because owner is nice (when you’re not confronting her about issues) but it’s sad currently and her response to other people shows it probably won’t.

I have gotten three beloved pets from miss barb one cockatiel a ferret and a pup all three of my pets are wonderful and super sweet my sisters cockatiel was hand raised and is the most affectionate and intelligent little bird and my pup is playful sweet and fortunately is very good with my chickens and is also potty trained and good tempered and lastly my little ferret I call her scarlet and she has been the joy of my life she is sweet playful mischievous and lazy at the same time I have not one bad thing to say only good about this pet store she cares deeply for them and it shows in how well her animal behave if your looking for a sweet little companion to give a forever home to cat,dog,bird,reptile,and fish this is the place to go!! Thank you Mrs barb I am grateful for bringing me and my fur babies together.

In short, they are very unprofessional.As you can see in many other reviews and in their responses to the reviews, the owner has a bad tempter if you bring up anything negative, she becomes irate incredibly fast with little to no reason.She will post on her ‘business’ fb page about you and is just overall very immature and ignorant to anyone she disagrees with.The pets they have may be fairly priced, but honestly I would go somewhere else simply due to the lack of professionalism within the management here.Save yourself the trip and the headache.

My wife bought a red factored canary from Barbara. She buys the finest stock and has been in the business for many many years. She will also stock whatever kind of food your pet needs, saving you a trip to Gainesville. Small businesses like this should be supported.... because all that would be left is places like PetSmart.😕😵😲

Just wet in, I wasn't greeted at all, no one asked if they could help. Habitats were super dirty and not working properly, dead animals lying around in habitats. Light bulbs out in lizards cage, i did not observe a heating source for the ball python.. You can tell that the owner does not clean the cages nor the store. Honestly I feel really sorry for those animals. Products were not labeled for price. I will NEVER enter this establishment again, if it even deserves the name as a store. More like someone's basement after the owner had died

My wife won't be going back. She had a somewhat unpleasant / unprofessional outburst from who we assume is the owner when my wife couldn't find what she was looking for. I recommend not yelling across the store, approaching a customer and asking how you can help may be a good habit to develop.

Drove 30 minutes because we were excited to try Barbs Pet World. Online it stated they were open Monday until 6pm. We showed up at 1:42pm and they were completely closed. Called to see if maybe they had a lunch break and no answer. Will not be making this drive again. Very dissatisfied.

So glad she opened in Trenton fl. Walking in like walking into your friends house, if your looking for a pet bird 🐦 she has them. Snakes she got those too. She has reptiles food bowls ect.. stop in a take a look.

Called be for I went. Was told they had 1/4 in crickets. Drove there money in hand only to find out they had 3/4in crickets. Which do me no good at all. Waste of my time won't go back if they can't tell the size of a cricket.

Stopped by this place just to find something for my fur baby but I can say barb is a very nice woman & she seems she cares about the animals but the store is to crowded & haves a lot of animals, I don’t see how she does it by herself but I can say it’s a good little shop just a bit too crowded & loud.
