I believe that this is where my mom bought my late cockatiel back in December of 2020. She died 2 months after we got her, likely from a sickness since there were no signs of anything else, and she had been given proper care. I was devastated. When we came back (my first and only time in person) the birds were crowded in small cages. The yellow-bellied slider turtles we bought also all died within months. My current cockatiel was also bought from here it seems, but luckily he has been doing well for the past 3 years. Do not go here. Please.

Place was very friendly, clean and organized All of the birds were very calm , seemed happy and looked healthy.. another pet store we went to right after actually spoke very highly of this shop and said he and his son take amazing care of their pets and have great prices.. If that doesn't say enough for itself.. would recommend!!

We have had the best experience here. Yoan and Monica are truly the best with all their animals. We are new bird owners and started with parakeets. Yoan would see me come every week & I would buy two more birds until my husband made me stop. Now he is just in love with these feathered loves that we went back and bought a pair of cockatiels. Amazingly friendly love attention and are absolutely beautiful!! They are completely spoiled!! I could never go to another pet shop, as we see Monica and Yoan as our extended family now. We appreciate their knowledge, their customer service and overall hospitality and kindness to us and their animals.

These birds are literally being abused. The cages are so overcrowded it’s sickening. Most birds hanging onto the walls of the cage because there isn’t enough perches. No enrichment. Water is dirty, food just scattered. I wondered in looking for a new friend and the owner was so rude it made the experience worse, answering every question with “I don’t know” .. no way I wasn’t going to leave a review. A literal bird mill. Heartbreaking to me that anyone is supporting this business!!!!!!!!! I hope all of those poor babies find good homes.

Great place for bird food and etc and they have beautiful pigeons. The best Hispanic pet shop in Tampa for sure! You can tell the owner really cares about his clientele.

Well I have gone multiple times at the pet store to see the beautiful birds there’s,one big parrot that every time I go there he greets me by saying Papa that reminds me of my dad who had a parrots named Papa! The owner are so friendly and nice I like taking my grandkids there. To see life these birds are well taken care of. I brought a little parrot and the instructions that I was given was awesome I’m teaching my parrot my language which is creole. If you ever wants a beautiful bird or parrot go to Yoan & Son Pet shop they will treat you like family! That how I feel every time I go there!

The store itself was nice, very clean and organized. I have shopped around for a while trying to find the right place to purchase from, and the reviews for this place made me think this was it. I was very excited to purchase my cockatiel, and things went great while there to make a purchase. The problem started after leaving the store. My sweet bird passed away after 9 days. When I reached out to the owner she mentioned they only have a 24-48 refund policy (I was not even asking for a refund, I was trying to understand how this could happen after only 9 days). She also would not tell me if the birds there are batch tested, she instead accused me of neglect. I am very unhappy with my experience with this pet shop, and I would be VERY CAUTIOUS before purchasing a new friend here.

Just got home and happy with my lithe sweet bird. The pace is so clean and the owners are very nice and help me choose the right bird for me. Bought cage and food. Also they even told me that if I needed any help how to take care of my sweet bird don’t hesitate to call then or stop by. They will be glad to help me in anything I need.

Best bird shop in Tampa hands down. I purchased a blue faced parrot finch and spice finch this morning.They have a great selection of finches as well as other avian life, all of which are healthy and well cared for...not mention their pricing is perfect, they definitely don't upcharge like other shops.This is a family run business, the lady in front was very sweet and kind, eager to make sure I left with everything I needed. I love the fact that this is a bilingual business speaking both Spanish and English. Businesses like this make Tampa unique. I'll definitely be back soon.

They sold us a sick bird! It came home to us with a weird respiratory sound and died within 10 days of us bringing it home. Their response was "sorry, it must have been spooked or not liked your environment.' (like it was our fault or something). "We can't do anything since it's past 48 hours. Just come buy another one from us." When we asked if they test their birds before selling, they avoided the question altogether. We went to a professional and explained everything that happened and they said that it sounds like the bird had Bird Flu. DON'T BUY PETS HERE. They don't care about grieving customers and they don't test their birds. It's not worth the heartache. Just find a store that actually cares for the animals and the customers.

Dirtiest bird store I've ever been to! These birds are being abused. Tiny over-crowded cages, food just lying out attracting moths, anxious birds who are picking their feathers out, bird dander everywhere, and the foulest smell of dirty cages and fish tanks. I feel bad for the birds who have to endure this torture.

GREAT PLACE To go they have everything for birds the staff are amazing they answered all my questions I bought from them today a cockatiel with a cage toys food and vitamins. This is my go to place from now on I recommend to everyone they are very clean you walk in all the animals are so happy clean and healthy oh and the best part is when the birds are all talking it’s a beautiful experience the attention I received was the best I give them not 5 stars but 500000000000000000000 you must go and experience this store

Do not come to the place very bad service. Went to buy my grandson some birds for his birthday. Woman Employee would not let us go in the bird room to see the birds we were interested in buying. Would never go again.

This pet shop is very clean the owner and the employees very polite and courteous, the pets are in very good health and I bought a bird that I always wanted and very good price. Very happy and I recommend any one that want a bird to go there they are the best.

We went to purchase some birds and the lady in the store was very mean and it was horrible customer service. Never will be back again. Was only in there for minute and walked out. Didn’t get to see any birds. Obviously didn’t want any business on Labor Day.
