North Tampa Pet Depot is an excellent destination to purchase your pet's food, and you can even adopt a pet there. During my visit, the staff was extremely helpful in assisting me in finding the perfect food for my pet. The store is quite spacious and filled with a wide variety of products. Additionally, North Tampa Pet Depot provides veterinary services with compassion and care.

We stopped by Pet Depot to get our cat some food. The cashier Dre is so awesome! He let us hold a few animals while helping us out. Will definitely be coming back again.

The amount of love and compassion the manager Joey showed for my sweet diamond was beyond amazing. No only was he amazing to her but he was also so good to any person he talked to that walked into the room. I wish more people were like him! Thank you so much Joey for going above and beyond you are so knowledgeable and I will never take her anywhere else! Very affordable and love this place!

Very friendly local pet store. Came on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 6:45 PM and the worker was very helpful and showing me and my son all the fish and guinea pigs and salamanders.

The employees were friendly enough, and they seemed to have a good selection of products. However, I was disappointed by the lack of care put into the rodents, birds and reptiles. At least half of the enclosures looked like they had not been cleaned in several weeks. There was a very distinct foul smell in that area of the store, like soiled hamster bedding. Additionally, reptiles of widely different sizes were being housed together (baby beardies with larger beardies & small leos with big leos) which can be dangerous for the smaller animals. Many of the water dishes were filthy, or so filled with sediment that there is no way the animals could drink clean water from them. Perhaps I caught them on a bad day, but it’s disappointing to see animals in a pet store being treated like an afterthought. I felt very concerned about the condition of the enclosures.

A great place all things you need for your pets! From food and toys, to actually adopting your next fur baby! The employees I spoke to, Joey and Angel were a pleasure and very knowledgeable about the products they have in store.

I used to volunteer at this pet store (only taking care of the cats), so I was there quite a bit. Staff was good, pets were taken care of. However, new employees recently started and the store has really gone down hill. Staff does not greet you, does not ask if you need help, and most of the time, I can't even find the worker. I went in one night last week, about an hour before they closed, I saw no worker. Fish tanks are always dirty, fish are eating their tank mates, ferrets are not receiving proper care after they informed me it would be taken care of. If you need special food, this may be your go to place, but if you care about the animals, this is not the place. The cats are the only ones receiving decent care thanks to the volunteers.Edit: I took my dog to their vet office, the vet was afraid to touch my dog when he was growling. I thought vets were supposed to know how to deal with animals. He was even wearing a muzzle (they suggested he wear one), so there was no way he could bite. They told me he has to be put under to get a sample from him. We will be going somewhere else that knows how to handle animals.

I can’t believe the service I received from the manager Joey, I am literally in tears. Im sooo upset. I brought my dog in for treatment not even even three weeks ago. I signed up for the monthly service plan, initial month, and preventative care. I felt there were many unnecessary charges like shampoo, foggers and a bunch of miscellaneous things that I did not need. I ended up paying 200.00 plus dollars which is okay, as long as my dog is ok!Today I get a call being threatened to be sent to collections. When I called the store I was placed on hold several times then finally be connected to manager Joey to find A solution. He failed to find a solution. he began telling service that were already paid for and eventually got madder than me. I gathered that I only needed a card on file which should have been the first said to me. The monthly plan should only be like 60.00. However I am being sent to collections for 188.00 it’s a scam please be aware off the billing process

Drove my friend, to have her 16 year old, 5 pound dog's anal glands expressed. Her dog is senile, hard of hearing and has difficulty walking at times, so of course the stress of being at the vet was tough on her. Amber, the tech yesterday, seemed completely oblivious to the age and difficulties of the dog, took the lead and was about to walk off without noticing the small dog was not able to keep up. Once they took Muffin to the back, we hear wailing and crying, we express our concern and the receptionist, assures us all is fine. Once they bring Muffin out, my friend asked if all is okay, and Amber, very rudely states no, it is not, it took us 3 people to be able to take care of her, next time you need to sedate her. Muffin is 16 years old, cannot be sedated. The lack of empathy, understanding and lack of communicative skills Amber lacked is very disappointing.The receptionist was, however, very sweet.

My wife took our dog for boarding. When we are picking up our dog, the front desk started charging for stuff that we're not performed or performed a few weeks ago (that we're already paid). I think management failed to train their staff and we as consumer need to be careful of what they put on the bill. If this happens to you, please report to the FTC for fraud.

This place is pretty close to my house so I decided to stop in and see if it was better than going 10 minutes up the road to petsmart. This place is great, I'm usually greeted as soon as I come in by the friendly staff. The manager has been especially helpful, even recommending a food I now feed my dog. And my dog loves it. I would recommend going here if you're looking for a smaller more specialty store with a helpful and friendly attitude. I had enough good experiences here I even brought my dog to the hospital that's in the same building because we had an emergency one weekend. The staff was helpful and treated my dog very well. My dog had such a good recovery and treatment I will continue to come here for all my pet needs. I have not used the groomer here.

Had a great visit! Lilly helped me out figuring out everything during my visit and she was wonderful and very caring with my dog! He actually had fun at the vet for once!! Prices were good, and a very sweet staff! Will be back again!

I've had nothing but pleasant experiences with this place. They've always been friendly and helpful. The vet has been great, he definitely knows his stuff and has been very good at explaining things to me, and he and the vet techs have taken great care of my old cat when he needed x-rays and his teeth cleaned. Very reasonable prices too, in my opinion. And they've been really good at getting back to me quickly over both phone and facebook.

The gentleman that works within the store was very helpful. He was able to explain which fishes can and can't be together and the size tanks they will need. They do have a shortage of certain reptiles and fishes because of how many being purchased but I would go back to purchase more fishes in the future.

We went in just to look around. And we ended up finding a great bed for out dog thanks to Amanda. She was super nice and helpful. There's a good selection of stuff but if you don't find what you were looking for they are very open to suggestions on what to add to the store. The kittens they had up for adoption are super cute as well. I will definitely be coming back for future business.

Staff is great and is as helpful as can be. Dr. Y (don't remember his last name) is also great with my two dogs that I bring in regularly. They are willing to special order any food that I need and they call me once it is shipped to them. The special for $5 nail trimmings for my dogs is a lifesaver as they love to jump on anyone and everyone. This is my go to store for all I need for my pets.

North Tampa PET Depot has a great staff who really connect with their customers. They also have a Pet Hospital who's staff is amazing! We have some of our kitties at their store and they take great care of them as well. Our cats get lots of attention and love while awaiting their forever families, just as they deserve! Great people, clean store, awesome products (bought the coolest cat tower ever here!), and they love their jobs. I recommend this store 110%!

Here’s my situation.On 5/1/2021, I bought a bag of dog food that was discounted 10% off due to a hole in the bag. I’ve bought plenty of food in the past from here with no issues. The next day, cracked open the bag and gave my dog some new food. He threw up after 15 minutes. (Didn’t eat fast, also had water and took his time). So I chalked it up to, maybe it’s the heat outside. No biggie I tried again that evening. (Still a bit warm outside but pups’ been inside all day to Keep hill cool.) He threw it up again. Now it’s got me thinking. The next day (mothers day) I tried one more time, he looked at the bowl and wouldn’t touch it. This further solidified that there was something wrong with this food I bought. Yesterday I went back to the store and explained this to the clerk ( we’ll call her K for privacy reasons). I explained the situation at hand to Miss K and I was also aware of the stores policy on returns and refunds. (receipt outlines 30 day refund and no take backs on discounted sale items...nothing about store credit or exchanging for something else) despite me explaining this to Miss K and even telling her that There is absolutely no way I would feed this to any animal if it made them sick. The response she gave me was, “ i’m sorry but there’s nothing we can do unfortunately.” Naturally I requested to speak to a manager to gain some more insight to which the response I got was. “ I’m really sorry it’s just me here today.” Now mind you I looked in the back of the shop and the vet place had folks behind it and the other patrons in a store plus I really couldn’t discern who else was an employee so I’ll take that at face value. Ultimately I then dejected and said, “ so there’s literally nothing that can be done with this food that made my dog sick twice and there’s no chance for even store credit or to exchange for something else.” To which that answer was also, “I’m really sorry about that there’s nothing that we can do.” Curious I asked Miss K about the reason there was a hole in the bag. It took her a bit of time to answer this but the response I got was that it perhaps happened when they were moving a bag and a hole appeared, so it quickly got patched up. Now how that hole got there never got answers fully.So Miss K and North Tampa Pet Depot, thank you for your concern and response in regards to the situation that was conveyed from your employee Miss K. Since it’s clear that nothing really can be done. I just hope no other patrons purchase products from your store that gets their beloved creatures sick.

The vet and pet store are both very convenient and reliable. I’ve been taking my dog here since we adopted her (shortly after the store opened). They carry healthy brands and have good sales if you keep track of their discount calendar. My dog is very anxious, and the staff is always very patient with her.

Great store and vey here. Only place close we can find our Fromm’s food for a reasonable price. We love Dr. Y and his staff. They have worked with 5 of our senior rescue golden retrievers to help them through arthritis issues, teeth issues, and crossing over the rainbow bridge. All of our dogs have been treated with respect and love by the techs and Dr. Y. He does wonders with acupuncture for our pets arthritic hips and knees!

The store is fantastic but the Pet hospital terrible they really don’t love pets, absolutely disappointed.Really disappointed about my visit to this pet depot, they don’t know how to care dogs and have costumer service.The manager ( woman ) only wants money and don’t take care of costumers and patients ( dogs ) the counter lady give you wrong prices and of course 4 of the staff wasn’t helpful at all, my dog was feeling bad abd they don’t care about it. They don’t put the right information in the system and they dont put what the dogs treatments. I have to tell them what was done. So frustrated will ask for my records and go to another veterinarian.Feel sad how people don’t take care of dogs and treat them bad. Manager worst then employeesNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALLThis happen today sept 6 2020. 2:15 pm
