Kind, gentle, honest and professional employees! My "son" was in great hands while having his long nails clipped. He was completely relaxed when they finished (which has never been the case at other facilities or even his vet)! I won't go anywhere else but to Gone To the Dogs in St. Pete Beach.

Was recommended here by my vet! Told this groomer over the phone MULTIPLE times and left a voice mail stating his weight. age. and that he’s NEVER been groomed before. Went out of my way and came a day early to help them out. waited some time and two ladies came out believe named missy and another who’s name started with a C, and without even saying hello or thinking automatically goes “nope i can’t do this”. Stating he was too big and “too wild”.I told them in advance so they were aware as to what they were walking into to.And for these ladies to tell me it was inhumane for me to keep his hair this long, and what i was doing wrong instead of helping me??? what a lovely first welcoming! Don’t recommend for golden doodles. or ANY big dog i guess!oh also she said i need to get him put out and go to a vet hospital for a haircut.

Friendly service and cute store . We took our yorkie in for grooming . Before and after photos below . It's a bit short for our taste but we asked for half an inch , next time we will ask for the inch( hard to guess what it looks like ) . Our yorkie smells great tho and the lte bandana afterwards was cute .Price :$50Time : 2 hours

I am so disappointed. We recently moved back to the area and I took my cockapoo in for a trim. When I booked the appointment I informed them that she is very anxious, is typically muzzled and needs someone who would be patient with her. I even spoke to the groomer herself when I dropped her off and personally placed the muzzle on my pup. I specifically said that I did not want her shaved, but more of a puppy cut. She did not have any matts so there should have been no issue there. When I picked her up I could hear her barking uncontrollably in the back room and when they brought her out, she was shaved down and completely uneven. They also told me to basically not bring her back. I have never had any issue with her as everyone I have previously been to had her best interest in mind. I do not feel that my pup was properly cared for and will not be returning.

Took our elder blind Jack Russell into Gone To the Dogs for the first time today.They did a wonderful job with grooming and bathing him with his sensitive skin as well as trimming his long nails. They were very caring, friendly, quick, and had great communication. We will be bringing our pup back, highly recommend.

I had my white lab groomed and given a puppy cut to prevent her excessive shedding. I was very happy with the results and the excellent job Missy did. I would highly recommend them. I also bought some of their natural homemade sweet potato treats and my dogs love them.

Love this shop. The groomers do an excellent job and our 3 pups enjoy going to see them. They clearly feel pampered when they come home. The boutique carries excellent quality food and treats as well as lots of specialty canine items so you can spoil your best friend. I have need had no problem parking. Highly recommend.

The groomer here has ruined the coat of my beautiful pomeranian. I took in a picture of what I wanted and she immediately told me that she could do it. I was very pleased to hear her say that. My daughter picked up my dog and brought her home and she looks like a freak. They've cut all the hair off of her head which I specifically told the groomer I did not want her hair all cut off and in a round shape. So guess what? That's what I got. My dog was also razor burned on her back side and has been in a lot of pain. I contacted what I thought was the owner and expressed my concerns. He told me that he was going to talk to the groomer and get back with me. They're closed for the day and I've never heard anything back. I don't know when my dog is going to have her hair grow out to look somewhat normal again. I am devastated that my dog was chopped up this way and was also harmed. Shame on that groomer.

Horrible experience with grooming. First groom was fine, second one was a disaster. The groomer simply didn't follow directions and just shaved my dog. She now has bald spots on her body, her legs are spindly, and the knuckles on her feet even show, she was shaved so much. I'm not sure she was even bathed, as she didn't smell clean. I did get an apology, but that was it. Should have gotten a refund because what he did to my dog is unacceptable. Never going back there....

The customer service was absolutely amazing. I got the privlege to talk to Brooklyn who is the store manager and he was an absolute delight. He recommended the best treats for my dog. And the groomers are excellent. If you want a great experience for your dog, 100% please go to this place. You will not regret it.

Brooke is great, there's no arguing that . Missy, on the other hand is not! A little bit White Trash and a whole lot of just plain tacky, always rushed, it's her way or the highway. I complained to Brooke about a tacky remark she made in front of several customers the last time we were there. I also tipped her less that time $10 instead of my usual $40. Funny, as we were coming up on our next previously scheduled appointment, Brooke called to say Missy had some "concerns" about one of our large dogs falling off the table while she was grooming. In other words, she thought quickly and came up with an excuse to not have us back...this, after nearly a year of a great working relationship. Basically, Brooke was calling to cancel on us. We have three dogs and I said "are you saying we shouldn't bring the other two"...to which he replied "well, let me check with Missy." I stopped him right there and was not interested in begging that woman for anything, anytime soon....well, never for that matter. Amazing coincidence that after making a complaint and reducing the tip, we're now on the do not fly list? I guess what I'm saying is...don't voice any opinion when you're there, don't complain, and tip HIGH or they'll fire you! Missy has Brooke wrapped around her little finger...even though he owns the place, she runs it....my guess is, right into the ground!

This is the first negative review that I have ever posted. I will choose my words carefullyso that I can be truthful and exact. I took my 15 year old cockapoo into groomer, Missy, at Putting on the Dog 3 months ago. My dog weighs 17 pounds, and has numerous skin tagsand growths. Missy did a great job, and I tipped $20 on top of $60 grooming charge. Imade appt for 5 weeks, again with Missy. When I went in for second appt, I was told that Missywas too busy, and other groomer would have to cut her. Was not told beforehand, and they used the old “Bait and Switch” routine. Substitute groomer was less than ok. Missy told appointment desk that she would cut my dog again when less busy. I waited 5 weeks for third appt. Just got call from shop that Missy would cut dog, but cost would be $70 !! All of this for a 17 pound dog.I will tell you that these people have no integrity,and no scruples about being honest. Missyseems to call the shots about whom and how much she wants to charge. Beware of dealing with these people
