I go on to your tedious website and download all of the 'Deals' (a 'select all' button would be nice) only to have nothing taken off my bill at checkout! What a rip! Seems I'm always having to 'get a manager' to fight for the pennies back. Fortunately for my DGM, they are the only place around for 15 miles/minutes to shop.

This place used to be great until they remodeled using Wal-Mart's structure. They added 4 self checkouts. They still have 3 regular checkout lanes, but maybe only one person working one at a time. One time I saw maybe 6-8 employees standing around the front doing nothing with one long line and no one got on another register. Unless I'm getting 10% off my groceries, I don't want to do the work of checking myself out. Since this happened, I've been shopping at the new Publix by Lake Juliana. Better quality and service may come at a slightly higher price, but it's worth it.

It has gotten to the point why go to this store. I check the store website for an item. Says 21 in the store. We live 2 miles, hubby goes straight there. We'll you guessed NOT 1 in the store.Thank God we have Publix close now.Good Bye Dollar General. Your excuses are not even meaningful any longer.

This store has been a flagship store in the local community for many years, well until the publics opened early this year. This store served the community very well in how it was stocked and managed.This company made a gamble within the context of the publix arrival, they drastically changed the goods they carried and technically upgraded the payment transaction stations, in short self checkout etc which came with much confusion for this unsophisticated little town. Not suggesting we are less than, but there are virtues in simplicity that many of us upheld.How many of us are looking to refresh our bathrooms and kitchen every day? With a population of just over 2,000 residents the market I suppose would be quite flat. There are every day products that are more deserving of shelf space, yet we see home goods, baskets and smily face rugs. Why? Ostentatious imagery? What for?The next notable change is the self checkout machines that many of us abhor. It brings nothing but horror by the mere thought of tapping and clicking our way to oblivion, through a transaction which most of us are still struggling to understand.This is a small town, and as with most small town it’s the personal interaction that truly counts. We like talking and dealing with people and each other as human being. Please do not rob us of these little societal perks, It is certainly important to us.Come on DGI or whatever you call yourself, you can do better than this. Also please remember the little pittance you are paying your employees is a very small price to pay to maintain the bonds of our little community. We love our people and we like a stress free life, free from those darn swipers and tappers.Get ride of those machines and put useful products back in the store. We need this, and there is enough to go around between Publix and yourself.

I went to this store and my bill was thirty three dollars more than I had on me, and the most amazing cashier named Allie who was my cashier, offered to pay my remaining balance!!! She went above and beyond the call of duty and pulled on my heart strings!!! My bf came in with the rest of the money! Thank goodness. I pray that dollar general will recognize the amazing treasure they have in her and that she is what all other customer service representatives should strive to be like!!! Thank you Allie!!!!!

Dollar General is close by and generally has the items you want. Ihave found that you should check your expiration date though because I have seen expired items for sale in the store. This problem is much improved over the last couple of years. Their fresh meat and produce has improved and prices are reasonable. However, Iwish they would add orange with pulp to their inventory. Their staff is friendly and helpful.

The store itself is clean and well stocked. The management and seasoned employees treat other staff very disrespectful. No one smiles there because these people make it a volatile workplace. I have witnessed it more than once. I will only shop there now out of desperation for an item, where before these new managers came in I shopped loyalty at least 2-3 times a week. No more. Sorry for the employees there. They change over quickly not because of their lack of working, but the workplace is to harsh and volatile to tolerate. Says a lot during these times when jobs are so important to keep. Someone needs to step in, fire these morons and treat these working people with respect.

It was not bad for a store out in the middle of no where. I stopped on way home from visiting in their town to pick up produce for a dinner tomorrow. They had all that I came for however the quality was not great had to really pick through it found a lot of bad on top of good. I understand rotating your product so old goes first but its usually removed when celery and Broccoli is limp and there were many. Otherwise was happy with my trip!

Best dollar get market I've ever been too. The workers that have been there a while (mainly the older ladies) and (Dustin and marshal) are very friendly. The big boss (Mike) is very easy to talk to! They remember you and what you talk to them about. They love your kids and make you feel like your at a family business!! I'd rather go there than any Walmart any day!!

Came in this evening to but dinner and there was absolutely no beef in the meat cooler. Only a few packs of chicken and sausage. This is like the 2nd or 3rd time I've came in and the meat was empty. It's a fairly cheap store for just about anything but what the hell.

I don't get to the big city often." Polk City that is." When I do Dollar General is a must see attraction. And many events such as bumper buggy. The tight isles make for some epic crashes. I love the employees the most. They are not friendly but not rude just the right amount of mean. So if you happen to be lost and find yourself in Polk City "DG is the place to be."

A good selection of basic groceries at reasonable prices. You won't find multiple version of the same thing in many cases but variety is good. Premade hamburger patties, for example, have only one selection. Quality is average.Wait times have always been minimal with enough registers open to support traffic.

One of the best i have been to and love to do alot of my grocery shopping here. Was a store manager in texas and this store is up to caliber we were at in my district. Was to one yesterday that was horrid. Thanks for keeping it clean and mostly stocked. You are a busy store and i know how difficult it can be

The store is conveniently located near me. It has good selection when you can't make it to a major grocery chain. They offer good prices. Although tonight the shelves were sparsely stocked. There was no employees on the floor stocking.

This is our closest Publix or Walmart. I am grateful that at least this store is open for us. Store is clean and organized, although they don't enforce the use of mask to be in the store. Those people in the store without proper ppe are putting in risk the store employees and other respectful customers. I wish the manager would be more extrict about it.

I am new to the area and thought this little grocery store was great because I have a small RV and my refrigerator is not very big. The prices were really good compared to going to like Publix, Winn-Dixie or even Harvey's.

Awesome marketplace... Perfect single/double size servings of packages. Great prices! Love the fresh fruit and veggies section! Love that they carry Redbull, including a variety of Redbull flavors! This location conveniently carries cigarettes. It's almost like a Walmart Neighborhood Market, but with better prices! I will surely be recommending this store to friends and family!

Dollar General Market is our only grocery store in Polk City, Fl. The employees are very nice and helpful.You need to check dates on milk, eggsand cheese tho', occassionally thedates are expired. They carry just about everything. I am very happy with the store.

I am a lead cashier here...for the folks that had negative things to say..I am sorry you had a bad expierence. We strive to give the best customer service possible with competitive prices. Come see us again...and if your not happy..come see me..I'll do my best to make your trip a good one.Not all employees that are "walking around" have tils (register)..some are stock people only..some are recovery. Once again...I apologize for the bad expierence.

Most Dollar General locations are unorganized and dirty. NOT this one!! It's so clean, has a great selection of fresh meats, and is very organized. The employees are helpful and kind!! Love this location!!

We went on a Monday afternoon, new to the area and wanted to see what is available in Polk City FL. We were very pleased with what we found. Produce was fresh and the meat section was also. Bread was fresh. We are glad we have this store close by.

Love this Dollar General! So nice and big and so far they always carry what I need. Lines are never extremely long like your typical smaller Dollar General. Keep up the great work!
