Christina Animal hospital saved our sweet girl last week. Last Monday we noticed she was completely lethargic and so weak she didn’t want to move. Tuesday Christina got us right in and had her in emergency surgery by 5:30 due to and infection in her uterus etc. from start to finish we had exams, blood work, urine tests, flea meds surgery etc and they worked with us to not only save our girl but did not break the bank. they even offered us a room for hours for me to sit and coax my pup to eat some so she could get her strength to come home. My other half and I agree that not only are the veterinarians amazing, every single staff member we met were amazing as well. Thank you Christina for all of your hard work and kind words. You have earned our customer loyalty from here on out.

Updated 1 month agoI am revisiting this review to update and say, the issues have been resolved and my dog is now cared well for at CHA. Her vet, Dr Banks, has been patient, and gentle when Athena needed her to be, and understanding as well as thorough in her care as we have faced a couple major issues recently. Even Dr Fulton restitched a gash on her foot and cleaned it up better than the emergency vet did. So, even though I was dead set against this animal hospital a year ago, things have turned around and I would definitely recommend them!*****I was recommended to this vet by one of their vet techs. We are new to the area and need a new vet for our Weimaraner who is, as they can be, a bit anxious.A few years back we had a vet muzzle her and sit on her to cut her nails which caused her trauma. (Yes, dogs get PTSD too!) Ever since, her regular vet (in Chicago) would sedate her to trim her nails and do her regular checks of teeth, anal glands, etc. We would just schedule it all together to coincide with the sedation appt so as not to further stress her and it was always cheaper.Needless to say, the receptionist at Christina Animal Hospital immediately told me they aren't taking new patients (after I told her what I needed). I pressed further and she said she would get back to me after she spoke to the doctor. I never heard back from her. I later heard from the vet tech we know that the doctor considered my dog hostile and a bite risk (because she needs to be sedated for her nails)!!! They have never even met her! I should have read other reviews before I called. I have since read that they muzzle dogs and refuse service.What kind of vet is this?!? I would never trust them with my girl (who is a registered ESA) nor the two dobermans in my family (both who are registered service animals)!Think twice before you get involved with a vet that does not listen much less care for the emotional needs of your pet beyond the physical...

My 2 dogs see Dr. Banks. She is very caring to my girls and everyone on staff here is the same way. I would not take them anywhere else. My dogs are very difficult when we go to the vet office and they do not treat them any differently. Always loving and kind. Dr. Banks and Dr. Fulton are both very good veterinarians.

The whole staff here is kind, and attentive! Today they even fit us in for a same day visit, which is practically unheard of those days!They were so patient with my kids answering their barrage of questions, including them in the exam, giving them a tour, and letting them listen to our dog's heart.Dr. Fulton took time to explain everything to me and make sure I felt comfortable with every option we discussed!My family has used CAH for years and years for various pets and they have remained amazing over time!

My wife and I have been clients of Christina Animal Hospital with all of our past and present dogs over a period of 18 years. A total 11 of our own and over 50 rescue dogs that were examined and expertly treated for before being sent to their forever homes. All dogs have been cared for with exceptional professional loving care from Dr. Todd Fulton and Dr. Sausa Banks and the entire staff at Christina Animal Hospital.

Very kind and caring staff. Dr Banks was very knowledgeable and explained what was wrong with my little chihuahua. He is 13 yrs old. I will definitely be returning for my other pets. The waiting room was not packed like other places.

We just moved here and had the best experience taking our dog here. Front desk is very nice and patient, vet tech was extremely detailed, and doctor was great! Highly recommend Christina Animal for all your pet needs and care.

I’ve been to several vets before coming here and there is a world of difference. This is the best vet I’ve been to in the area and it’s not close. Everyone is friendly, the vet explains things in detail - it’s great.I’ve been to a few other places that seemed like they were more just pull pushers or glorified pharma reps. Not here.

They treat our animals well. And they take the time to answer all your questions. You don't feel like you are being rushed. Dr. Banks is good with our Phoebe. Being going here for many years now.

Been going here since back in the 1990s, always very helpful and the explain things so u can understand them. Recently had to put my 17 and 19 yr old kittys down and Dr Banks and Dr Fulton were so kind and caring. And the staff, they are just the best too. Love all the Vets!

I took my Mini Dachshund Rusty too an emergency clinic Saturday night because he was not eating and became lethargic. I took him Dr Banks for a follow up. She got him on the correct meds for the gastric problem he had and he slowly recovered. Dr banks is the best Vet ever!

Christina Animal Clinic is the best animal clinic I have ever taken my animals to. They give expert service, and everyone is so nice and friendly. Dr Banks is awesome! I trust her completely! If you love your animals as much as I do, you would not hesitate to take them to Dr.Banks and staff!

I’m going with five stars even though I’ve only been there once. My reasons are as follows:1. If you need an appointment you do not have to book several weeks out causing you to go to an expensive urgent care.2. The vet is to the point and was very instructional and knowledgeable on my pups condition.3. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They even made me a special up of coffee.I have been waiting for them to have availability for two years and I am so grateful that I got in. Looking forward to a good long lasting relationship.

The full staff and the vets are all very friendly and very knowledgeable. I have taken my pets there for regular check ups, boarding and in the sad times that we all must face. Never had a problem, would not go anywhere else. I usually see Dr Banks but would not have a problem seeing the other vet.

My dog Ed has been a client there for 8 years. I had scheduled her vaccines, but had a conflict with appointments and had friends bring her to Christina as a favor. They were amazed by how the staff treated them. Apparently while waiting in the parking lot (still social distance and I'm good with that), each member of the staff that came out to assist other clients, greeted them with a smile (hard to tell in masks, but they assured me they could see it in their eyes), or said hello. The doctor came out with Ed, and explained everything he did in great detail. My friends couldn't have been more impressed. I'm accustomed to Christina's level of quality care, but now I can see it with fresh eyes.

My baby hasn't been feeling good for the past 2 days and they took him in to find out what is wrong with him even though they were double booked and I did not have an appointment. I really appreciate that they understood how much my baby is important to me. Thank you all. Your such an awesome staff.

I paid 300 for the vet visits and got Little to no treatment. my cat has not been eating and throwing up. i paid for two different blood works that came back with little to no information (200$). I paid for a nail trimming that was 18 fricking dollars. and something to help her stop throwing up, which was almost 50$ but the gag is it’ll only last 24 damn hours! I told the workers let’s just do what is important based off the symptoms she was showing. and they did everything damn test in the book which came back with no answers or medication. then tried to make me pay for more blood work when we already did two!!?! I was clearly upset about paying 300$ and getting nothing in return it felt like a walk in damn scam. and ALL of the employees refused to even acknowledge me, no manners nothing. i will never return here and i will slander this vet to every pet owner i know.

I’ve been using them for 13 years. The staff is courteous and have taken excellent care of my dog. I have boarded my dog there also and their facility is excellent, The Vet doesn’t rush but takes time to explain everything and Dr Banks even typed up instructions for me when my pet needed palliative care. They are all very compassionate.
