Great place to explore the river! Not overcrowded. Personal service. The equipment is in great shape. The price is budget friendly for the fun you get in return.Plan to spend a whole day. The trip down the river is easy but coming back against the current is a little work. Going all the way down the river to the dock and then ducking into the little springs on the way back would make the trip back a bit easier.Bring drinks and snacks because you will get thirsty and hungry. There are a variety of dry bags for purchase or rental. There is phone service for verizon but t mobile is a bit sketchy.

We had a wonderful time kayaking! Saw a bunch of wildlife including 5 gators. And also visited Big Blue and got to see a massive fish! I always love visiting this place!

I had an amazing experience! I came around 5 and was happily greeted with a cute puppy and kind gentleman. He was able to give me great info about the river and what to avoid as well. His cell is posted and he offers any help you may need along your journey. This is a great place to check out!

This was a great experience!!! The airboat ride was a gift to my mother for her birthday and she absolutely loved it!!! The tour guide, Corky, was very knowledgeable of the history of different areas of the river!!! The scenery was beautiful!!! Highly recommend!!!

The springs along Wacissa are totally worth seeing, and this rental spot makes it as simple as possible. Since they're right on the river you don't need to bother strapping a rental to your own car - you just park, pay them and start paddling.The rates were great, especially if you're splitting a 2 or 3 person canoe with friends, and you can rent for a few hours or the full day.When I lived in Tally, I enjoyed many memorable days at Wacissa thanks to this place!

We went on an airboat tour today and it was perfect. We had my almost 5 year old with us. So much care and concern went into making sure he was safe. We saw lots of alligators and learned about the area. Couldn’t recommend this enough.

I love renting canoes and kayaks from Wacissa Canoe & Kayak Rental. I joke that I could have bought a couple dozen boats myself with all the rentals I've had, but I appreciate the convenience of being able to call and get whatever I need without any hassle. The paddle down the Wacissa river is gorgeous with many turtles, gators, birds, fish, and river otter. There are many beautiful springs along the river including Big Blue, a Magnitude 1 spring, where you'll see many cool things including albino crayfish. I am a SCUBA instructor, and I always recommend to my students, too, to return to rent from them. Corky and his team are great!

This place is great for canoeing and air boat tours! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the area. You'll definitely see some great blue springs and alligators. Overall great experience!

Overall, GREAT time out on the Wacissa River. The location was easy to find and the attendant was very helpful and friendly (even tried to share his bug spray with us). The water was beautiful, clear, and we saw lots of beautiful wildlife. Fantastic relaxing day trip in all.A few things to watch out for are:1) Bring bug spray and dress appropriately (long pants, sleeves, socks, etc.) as the yellowflies are bountiful.2) The springs on the eastern border of the river are much easier to locate coming back upstream. Probably best to head down to the dock and hit the springs on your way back upstream.3) BEWARE OF OVERSHOOTING THE DOCK!!!! There is no signage anywhere once you launch and the dock at which we were advised to stop is a small, private dock making it easy to ignore. We were lucky enough to come across two kayakers who directed us to turn around not too far after.. Without them, we'd be on milk cartons right about now lol.4) The river current was very strong but you start out flowing with the current. It was very windy for us as well. SAVE SOME FOR THE TRIP BACK!!!

Beautiful river. Great little boat launch. Paddle to Goose Pasture, shuttle service available from outfitter next door or just paddle as far as you wish then paddle back. Numerous springs less than 2 miles down river

The owners were very friendly and helpful. They have a wide variety of kayaks and canoes to choose from. I felt very safe leaving my car parked on the property. I will definitely be taking the kids back.

Friendly owners. My husband and I brought our own kayaks but we rented one for his daughter to use. She had a bit of a problem with the kayak but over all the adventure was a success. Would totally recommend and would return.

These guys are awesome. We had our own kayaks so they knew we weren't going to rent from them, but they still invited us over to tell us about the springs on the river, the most beautiful places, and how to get there! Good conversation, good people. They have tons of good looking kayaks too, and life jackets. Launch area is gorgeous. They also sell dry bags and a few other kayaking goods in their store (which I'll probably return to purchase since I keep inadvertently getting my phone wet).

This is your third time coming here. Never a dull moment coming here. Great place to come to relax and chill your mind. Plus great prices and the owner is so sweet and informative. He took me and my friend on the airboat ride kinda last minute decision and took us to some great spots to see some alligators 🐊. I highly recommended booking any adventure with him you will not regret it. Plus the springs are so beautiful. Never seen one like it. Thank you for the amazing experiences..

My boyfriend and came down from Georgia and spent a few hours here. We had a blast. The owners were very polite and helpful. The canoes and kayaks were in great condition and the prices were so worth the trip. We will definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommended for an inexpensive day out on the river!

By far my most favorite place to rent kayaks from and spend the day on the river! The owners are amazing people and always make it an inviting place to return to! So much that I’ve become a regular there. The Air boat tours are a must! Whether it’s your first time or your twentieth time, this is the place to go! You get to see new places throughout the river, lots of wildlife, and just have a great time! I recommend them 1,000%! If you’ve never been on an air boat before, don’t miss out!!

Such a great time, we ended up going twice! He knows the river well and is able to show you the springs in the river. Go when it's not been raining, as you'll see the blue waters of the springs better. Family run, good people, wonderful time on the airboat!!

This place is awesome. Capetian Corky Williams took me and my family out for an air-boat ride and it was absolutely awesome. The ride lasted a little over an hour and we saw a lot of alligators, fish, and some beautiful springs. Check them out! You will love it.

We didn't rent, but used them for shuttle service to Goose Pasture from their location. Remember it's a 60 minute trip for service, so the price can be a bit high, depending on the amount of people. We paid $60 for 2. The trip is well worth it tho. Clear water and lots of wildlife. Gators too! It took us 5 hours. Enough current to move you, but not bad if you want to go up stream. There are fun nooks to other springs. Check them out! Be aware that the road to Goose Pasture is a sand road (forestry area) very rough and mostly flooded when we went, after a rain. Unless you own a truck, forget it. Water was up to our steppers on our Chevy 250. Lastly, there's really no place for women to dock and pee. There was one dock but there was a gator on it! Ugh,

I've rented kayaks and canoes from this family several times. At first glance you might think you hear dueling banjos and wonder if you'll make it out alive, but they are really nice people and their equipment is great. They also don't care how late you return the kayaks after dark. If you haven't been on this waterway after dark, I highly recommend it!! Just bring lots of bug spray and reliable lights and maybe a compass, because you can get turned around easily on this river at night.

The owners are awesome! We were stuck in the rain and allowed us to stand by their porch, their very calm and friendly dog added to the nice company. The location were you start the kayaking ride is beautiful, feels like the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Disneyland, except it's real. And it's a real workout to kayak if the wind is blowing to your opposite direction...

Very friendly staff during the week day. Had plenty of boats and life vest for adults and kids ranging from various sizes. We loved the river and swim area. If you have not been give it a go. Sweet swim area. While canoeing the kids loved seeing the 9 Gators we found. :)
