We are so happy to have adopted our little one at the SPCA Florida Adoption Center. The staff was wonderful and patient and we found our little Sabrina ( formerly Chirpy). She chose us the moment she saw us and we chose her immediately! We’re beyond pleased with our new addition.

I had a very pleasant experience at this SPCA. Was greeted by some very friendly ladies and ensured I arrived at least 2 -3 hours before closing time. My boyfriend and I adopted our beautiful boy Winston, who we have now renamed. Faith introduced us to him and informed us about his history. She was exceptional. I’m eager to train our baby boy and ecstatic that he has become a part of our lives and joy.

We adopted a very lovely 8 mo. old female cat named Nectar. Now we call her Daisy and Nectar is now her middle name LOL! She loves all in the family, including our chihuahua named Chiqui. All the personnel @ Lakeland SPCA made us feel like family. Thanks!

I came in today looking to adopt. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful and you can tell they love the animals and truly get excited when one of them gets adopted.They have very fair adoption fees, walk you through everything, make sure you're prepared whether you're a new pet owner or experienced, and take such good care of the animals.When you come in the cat rooms are first and they'll give you a quick rundown and then you're free to go into the rooms, hang out with the kitties, and see who your fit is.I adopted Mochi, whos name is so cute I can't decide if I'm going to change it or not. It was love at first sight. He's a big boy, so cuddly and sweet and has warmed up to myself and my boyfriend immediately.I'm so happy I was able to find my new family through the SPCA. If you're looking for a pet, or just want to see some cute animals and maybe leave them a donation definitely check them out!They have dogs too but I didn't visit them, did see a couple puppies!

Fiona, now "Pepper," has acclimated well to life with her cat brothers, Spice and Clove. She was raised by SPCA staff and it is evident. She loves being around other cats, as well as a dog and humans. In fact, she is sitting on my keyboard now. She and the other critters run around the house like a tiny herd of antelopes. -Thank you, SPCA of Lakeland, for raising such a loveable kitty!

I had a great experience, I got the sweetest cat ever!!! They made it very easy to adopt her and they take great care of their animals. I love to go and just visit with the cats! Fedora now Juni, is an amazing cat and a great addition to my cat family. Her and pumpkin my other cat get along so well and love to cuddle. So glad I chose to adopt from SPCA Lakeland.

We changed Helena’sname to Izzy. She is the best kitten and has settled into our family. Our 12 yr old cat seems to enjoy watching her and they play now and then. SPCA thanks for taking care of her until we met! ❤️

I was very pleased with SPCA adopting Yosie was a very good experience. It took a couple of weeks getting her settled in but she is doing great now. I got set up with the vet they checked her out she is very healthy. I have a follow up in December.

I wish I could give SPCA of Lakeland a great score. Some of the staff is pleasant. What they do lack is communication. This last time I went I had an appointment and it took almost 2 hrs for them to see my pups. They were suppose to send me a website to order my pets prescription, and after ordering it my order was pending for quit sometime. After 6 days my order was still pending. I reached out to the company and they said that it was pending because SPCA of Lakeland said they have never seen my dog. I have called them to speak to someone and the call never goes through and goes to voice mail and after several messages I still have not received a phone call back nor an email. At this point I’m loosing hope in this place who supposedly cares for animals.

We love our cat so much! We’ve renamed her cookie and she is fitting in great. We did have an issue with her incision because she kept biting it, and she developed a fever and swelling. The vet gave us medicine and she is on the mend and back to being very playful and loving. She is an amazing cat and we are so glad we got her. We are even thinking about getting another one so she can have a playmate.

Went here Sunday and they've really grown. Love all the different interactive cat rooms. They have a very relaxed approach and let some cats wander and mingle in the open with guests. You can tell the volunteers really love what they do.

We came in to adopt a kitten, despite it being busy the staff was very friendly and made the adoption process smooth and easy. We got to meet different kittens until we found a kitten who was a great fit for our family. Thank you to the SPCA staff for your help!

Thank you for bringing cats to the cat cafe in Clermont. I had just lost a pet two weeks before visiting the cafe just thinking playing with the cats would pick me up. Little did I a sweet little boy named Four would pick us as his new family. His name is Gary now and he is spoiled and happy.

I recently adopted two kittens from SPCA. Overall the experience was positive, i went to look at one that was listed on their website but it turns out he was at a pet store, so while we were there playing with the kittens we really connected with another baby. The adoption counselors were very friendly during both adoptions. The only downside was that there was a lady named Mary, walking through the kitten room who did not seem to want us there. She seemed very displeased by the fact that I had two toddlers with me, lecturing me on how fragile kittens are and questioning me on what other animals are in my home. I am fully aware of the responsibilities I was signing up for. What she did not know what that we had lost one of our adult cats prior to adopting these two. It was very discouraging to have someone so displeased by my kids when they were a big reason we were even adopting. Anyway, we ended up adopting one at SPCA and went and adopted the other one at the pet store as well. Both kittens had respiratory infections but SPCA got them in quickly to see the vet and receive antibiotics. We are very happy to have both kittens in our home, we were originally only looking to adopt one but I’m very happy we got both of them. The kittens bring so much joy to our home, and have settled in perfectly. Would I consider adopting another pet from them some day when the time is right? Absolutely. I would just suggest being more open to families with kids.

Visiting SPCA Florida was such an incredible experience, and I am so thankful for their help in finding my fur-ever friend! My little girl Elle is the love of my life and has brought me so much joy, I am so thankful to this adoption center for helping us find each other. Our adoption went very smoothly. We had been looking at their website for a few weeks. Both of us kept going back to our fur baby. He has been with us a little over a month and my husband and I both love him to pieces. We were told he could be stubborn and that is so true, but patiently working with and he has definitely come a long way.

It was fate! I was in Polk county to see a puppy available at the animal shelter which unfortunately for me was adopted before I arrived from Port Saint Lucie. They were very helpful in letting me know that the SPCA was 10 miles down the road and I should call to see if they had another puppy for adoption. After sitting with and getting to know Choco now Ava, it was definitely fate. SPCA made the adoption process very straightforward and smoothly. Every since I brought Ava home she's been fun, loving energetic and more and more overcoming some of her shyness. She has tons of toys and is spoiled daily. Loves to go on walks and play with our other family pet Charlie. She's now 6 months old and has seen our vet twice. Once for her initial visit and now for a bug bite she got on her paw which we're told not to be concerned and is on medication spray but doesn't seem to bother her. She's such a joy to be a part of our lives.

I was able to get my awesome puppy from here while still in college two years ago! It felt like a struggle to get a dog from other shelters given that I was only 20 and living in an apartment (meaning I didn't meet a lot of shelters requirements to adopt) -- I'm very thankful to the SPCA Florida for giving me the ability to bring home my best friend! Louie (previously named Prince at the shelter), my boyfriend and I are doing amazing as a little family and we couldn't have asked for a better boy. From the day I got him he's always been extremely smart, laid back, and healthy. First picture is him as a puppy when I first got him from the shelter! Definitely check out the SPCA Florida if you're looking to give a dog or a cat a loving home! 💖

Rico now Juliet is super happy and comfy in her new home. She likes to play with her older sister and loves to boss us around. She is super cuddly and sweet and she completes our family.We want to thank the staff for being so helpful and nice! There is a lot of information out there to help with adoption and it should be taken seriously. I appreciate everything the SPCA does for these animals and we are so happy we found our fur baby!

I love what they do and the services they offer for low cost spay and neutering..However they are quick to upcharge you for services/ items..Some are mentioned at booking others are not until you arrive that morning for the surgery, basically leaving you no choice but to accept them..I mean $20 for a cone collar is a little much, considering that you can purchase a better version than the one they sell for $8 on Amazon...Again I love what they do for fur kids, but they need to be more transparent..
