What a wonderful establishment that cares for the well being of animals in the midst of human cruelty. We praise their efforts and Christ Jesus will honor their sacrifice to the lesser species. God Bless these laborers .We adopted Israel formerly known as Louise..

PCBP is a group of hardworking, dedicated and compassionate people working tirelessly to rescue and rehome bully dogs. This small, non-profit organization does an amazing job saving the lives of many. They are always in need of some type of support (donations, laundry, dog walking, cleaning, fostering and of course adoption). I personally have volunteered, fostered and adopted over the years. PCBP is truly a blessing!

This rescue pulls dogs from Animal Control that would otherwise be euthanized! They rely solely on donations. I fostered (and eventually adopted Macey Gray) and currently volunteer there. The staff and volunteers do amazing things. If you have a few hours to donate a month, they would love to have you as a volunteer. If you can't foster or volunteer, you can take a dog out for an outing. A few hours away from the rescue can be wonderful for the dogs! They also have an Amazon wishlist. Check their website or Facebook for the link to their list or other ways to donate. They can't do it without all of us!

I would like to give a shout out to Pippy and Martina for always being there for me whether it be answering questions, showing me around the facility as a new volunteer, or helping me out by getting heavy things in/out of my car. I am not computer savvy so they have helped me get where I needed to be to sign up for things as a volunteer. There are others at the facility that have helped me by lifting heavy things ; but these 2 people have been a great help! Thank you ladies❣️ I so appreciate you. I appreciate ALL the volunteers/workers for their continued commitment to help these lost, dumped, or ready to be euthanized (by animal control) dogs. ESPECIALLY, the momma dogs with their unborn pups, to momma dogs with their babies. They do a selfless act by caring about these approximately 200 dogs and putting money out of their own pockets (as well as others) for the continued care of these animals. They need help for dog walking, doggie days out for the day, as well as donations. The few people there are trying to get ALL the dogs out of kennels 3 X a day! There is a volunteer I met who goes back and forth bringing laundry home to wash, dry, and fold NUMEROUS times a day. It is NECESSARY for the animals need clean towels and light weight blankets daily if not more often. If anyone has any towels or blankets to donate; it would be greatly appreciated. Best Wishes to all

Wonderful place. They help rescue so many dogs. They provide vet care to every animal. They need people to adopt, donate, and foster. We recently adopted a wonderful puppy!

Loved seeing the way the staff interacted with the dogs, you could feel the LOVE! This is the place to find your forever dog, foster or donate so they can continue this great mission!!❤️

Amazing rescue ran by two ladies who put their heart and soul into saving these dogs and making sure they get into good homes. The only rescue in Polk county that is truly in it for all the right reasons. Highly recommend!

Wonderful people who truly love what they do! I drove my cousin here to Meet and Greet 3 dogs she picked from their outstanding website. While waiting for my cousin, I was able to watch the interaction between handlers and dogs. It was a beautiful experience. The dogs were so well cared for and loved. I was overjoyed when my cousin introduced me to her new baby Rosie. The joy I saw in both their eyes brought joy to my heart. God Bless everyone at the Polk County Bully Project❤️

I am sure they do good work and provide a service for a good cause...like all other dog rescue organizations but they will allow their fosters to adopt dogs out from under you. So, here’s my experience: I filled out their application providing references and my apartment lease while specifying clearly, I was interested in a dog named O’Neil. Seriously, the application process had me physically click on O’Neil’s picture as 1 of 3 dogs I would be interested in. That was Saturday. I received an email saying I am approved for adoption on Tuesday morning. That night at 9:30pm I received a text from Cyndi asking if there were any specific dogs I was interested in. I, once again, stated O’Neil and I could come by the rescue Saturday afternoon. Ghosted by Cyndi until I followed up Thursday morning. Cyndi responds, ‘I’ll check with fosters and see if they can meet up.’ Once again, ghosted until I followed up Friday afternoon saying I could come by anytime Saturday afternoon or anytime Sunday to make it easier for everyone and heard back from Cyndi, a bit later, that the foster has decided to adopt O’Neil. Seems like they could have told me that before I had a week of looking forward to meeting the dog I picked out from the hundreds on Petfinder. Their fosters do not seem to understand what the role of a foster is or, maybe, just don’t post the dog for adoption until all your fosters have already passed on adopting the dog since that seems to be your policy anyways. Best of luck, I will try other rescues more local so maybe I can get in on the good ole' boy system too.

Fostered two sweet puppies for about two week told we can't foster to adopt so we filled out an application for adoption.sadly when through most of the process and got to the point where we where ready to set up a meet up but have gotten nothing but silence from the rescue since than. We also sadly ended our foster because we didn't want our dog or the puppies to get to attached to us. Want to believe the hearts behind this resuce are in the right place but feel they are now organzied or attaetive enough to the people who turly want to adopt.Hope all these dogs and puppies find good homes .

Great service. Great people. You can tell that they really care about the animals. My family got a GSD from there recently, she is amazing, and the veterinarian Pippy (I hope I spelled your name right) was wonderful!

Thank god for this shelter and these workers. They’re saints. 😁 🙄 Most of these dogs would be dead if not for PCBP and I can’t express how much respect I have for these people and how hard they work to take care of these animals. Idk how they manage to keep the place clean and take such good care of these animals.

They're amazing. Their ability to pair a dog to a household is incredible. Highly recommend calling them if you're thinking about rescuing a dog or interested in fostering.

Kindly donate to the Polk County Bully Project; they have a lot of rescued dogs in need of a forever home. Their volunteers and personnel are dedicated to their cause. They are open seven days a week to meet the needs of families who would like to meet and greed their future pets. I adopted Cordelia; the process was smooth; their personnel were kind.

What you don’t see is the blood , sweat, and tears the staff go through to take care of the endless dogs that are dumped, discarded like trash, used as bait dogs, thrown out of vehicles, bred for puppies then discarded, people not having “time” for a dog… the list goes on. Don’t ever bash the staff when you don’t have a clue about the hours and heartbreak that go into the care of the dogs.

If I could give 0 I would... Every dog at their facility is sick and they are lying about caring for them. I currently am fostering on of their dogs and they have lied to me multiple times about her health. They said she is worm free and completely fine but the vets office found that she has hookworms, a massively inflamed urinary track and WAY more...plus she has been like this for at least a month under their care. Not only did they lie but they put my personal 2 dogs and my foster dog as a huge risk for more illness. All of my dogs and my yard now have to be quarantined for WEEKS.They are misleading their foster and adoption families and when you question them they just ghost you. For the sake of the animals in their care I hope they clean up their act and their facility.

There are not enough great things to say about Polk County Bully Project. They give hopeless dogs hope, and the staff never stop loving the dogs they save. They are my chosen charity to support their mission for the great work they do. I was dropping off donations and met a sweet pocket pittie that they had just pulled from animal control. It was love at first sight and now Coco is a part of our family. This place is amazing and I will continue to donate $ and supplies for this deserving rescue ❤️As a sidenote, they pull the dogs that nobody wants and didn’t have proper care before Polk County Bully Project stepped up.

The amount of amazing transformation I have witnessed through all of these dogs is incredible. It amazes me that people can believe that the work and dedication put into these babies isn’t 1000% Polk County Bully Project is a phenomenal facility and does so much for these animals. Keep it up guys!

They unselfishly take the best care and pull from animal control dogs that wouldn't have a chance otherwise. The staff are kind people who work so hard to dedicate themselves to taking the best care of not only just bully breed dogs but other dogs as well.
