My daughter needed a crawler to feed her snake and asked me to go along.Family Reptiles is not what I was expecting, this place is very nice and modern.Everything was clean as was the rest room. Vast selection of critters and needed equipment to own them.The staff was both helpful and friendly to a first time visitor.We will be back.

HIGHLY recommend. The staff were very lovely, and didn’t get irritated with me asking a lot of questions as a first time snake owner. Made an exchange and bought a rat. Prices you won’t find anywhere else.Wish it was a little more central, far away. But that’s not their fault.

Like always I was excited to go and I was NOT disappointed! Clean, beautiful enclosures and adorable little occupants in the enclosures. I went just to visit but I ended up finding a ball python that fit my project PERFECTLY! he is a little pied clown poss YB.Thank you so much family reptiles!

Great place for reptile enthusiasts to get their supplies! They have two very friendly and calm shop dogs as well ☺️ If you use aspen for any of your critters, they also have a great deal to get a huuuge bag of aspen for $25!

I've loved this place for the past 3-4 years. Everyone is very helpful, I've got one of my snakes from them. I'm also there on a weekly basis for some Live feed.

I typically do not leave reviews, but this one is needed. If you are a beginner like I am, do not trust this store to be transparent of their snakes' genetic health. My top priority was owning a snake without the wobble trait. I did my research and knew what red flag words to look out for in the morph names. Additionally, I asked a staff member for each and every snake I showed interest in to confirm.Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, I still purchased a snake with the spider gene and he is showing signs of wobble now that I have him home. I am so discouraged and upset in the research and time I put into picking him out. Not only did I compare his genes to my list of red flags, but I also checked with the keeper on staff multiple times, and they assured me that he carried no spider. I've gotten many second opinions and all have said that yes, my snake has spider and wobble, and yes, his card was falsely labeled. Yes, I was misled, whether intentionally or unintentionally.I am keeping my sweet boy as he is already a huge part of my family and so loved. However, I am disappointed in this store. I recommend that you look elsewhere, especially if you are a beginner.

Great reptile shop. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Purchased a baby ball python Worked with multiple staff members to get apporpriate enclosure set up. And tips on feeding and maintaining anilmal. Have been back multiple times and called with questions. Always great

I visited Family Reptiles to get some special dirt for my pet beetles (purchased elsewhere) so I could upgrade their enclosure. They had what I needed in stock, and their prices were amazing. I wrongly assumed that prices would be higher due to it being a specialty shop, but was happily surprised to the contrary. I did not pick up any new friends on this trip, but I've got my eye on some nice isopods, and maybe more beetles, for next time. Just don't tell my husband.

Update: my princess is doing amazing but remember people no tomatoes!!! I took it out right away !!!! Absolutely love this reptile store the employees are very friendly and informative. Inside it’s beautiful, neat and! I bought a baby Salcata tortoise and so did my friend. Prices are fair and I have everything I need for my new baby :) I am in love thank you all. We will be forever customers!!!

We love them here they are so very knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. I get all my snake supplies from them and even my mice from time to time. Recently went there for some small water dishes for some new babies we have.

I have purchased 4 snakes and 5 complete setups in the last couple of months. I have always had great experiences, I drive 45 minutes just to get to your store. Beautiful and healthy snakes! I got my girl Lenore from yall back in August 2021, at a reptile con in Tallahassee FL. Yall had beautiful snakes and I chose an amazing little girl. My 4 yr old loves her. I hope to get more snakes from yall in the future. Here's her new terrarium set up, in her larger home. ❤️

Love this store, the owners and staff are amazing and VERY knowledgeable, they know their stuff, if you have a question just ask!The store is always clean and orderly and well stocked with everything you need to keep your animals healthy and happy.Their reptile selection is top shelf, any of their animals would be a great addition to your family, I should know I have 8 of them.Why shop the BIG name stores or Online if you could get the same "if not better!" Prices locally putting food on the plates and helping take care of your own communities family's.Give Family Reptiles a shot you will not be disappointed!

Met Scott and Elizabeth at Repticon in Columbia buying a bearded dragon enclosure for our son. They were so helpful with walking us through every step from the enclosure, bowls, hides, bulbs and everything we needed to get started. They both took time to explain every aspect and all the questions we had. Just great people to do business with!

I got my first snake here, she was a Mexican black kingsnake and the employees were very helpful and when I got her she was well cared for and thats amazing cause some well known pet stores dont take propper care of their animals and i was allowed to hold her before adoption. Also the tortoise in the back was adorable! I had a wonderful experience here, and I'm definitely coming back for feeder mice and substrates as well, and if I ever get another reptile in the future I'm 100% coming back here for them. Such a lovely place

Words can not express how thankful I am to have come across Family Reptiles. I am a 6th/7th grade Science teacher and purchased a juvenile crested gecko for my classroom after seeing their selection at Repticon in Lakeland. Since then, I have been to their store every weekend to help supply my new OBSESSION with cresties. The amazing folks at Family Reptiles are so passionate and knowledgeable I will never go ANYWHERE else for my cresties’ needs. Since first purchasing Lando (pictured), I have added 4 more cresties! I wouldn’t change a thing about this store! Everyone is beyond helpful and sweet. Open to us bringing out support dog inside and he made some super adorable friends! Went in to get some stuff to finish starting off my terrarium, everyone was helpful and welcoming! Will definitely be back probably more than I should! Around a month ago I purchased my first Corn Snake from here! I had nothing less than an amazing experience. I was able to buy my snake (Maze), practically everything for her enclosure, and her frozen feed. Everyone was very helpful and kind, will definitely return for any next purchases. The store is clean, they have a wide selection of animals and supplies, perfect place. And if you’re a beginner don’t be afraid to ask questions, they were more than ready to help! :D 10/10

Come here often for worms and mice, staff is helpful and kind, and the prices by far beat the prices at large chains. One feeder mouse at Pet Supermarket is $4, whereas here they are $1.25. I also purchased my leopard gecko, Flight Risk, from here and they were helpful in picking out necessities for his tank. I will always come here for feeder insects and mice, and I recommend them to anyone else who keeps reps or tarantulas. Attached pictures are some of the happy customers.

Miss lee and Miss Emily (both managers) were amazing. Miss Lee happened to be at the store and immediately was warm friendly and did her best to answer all my questions.I was spending time with my daughter as it was her spring break and miss lee gladly allowed me to pursue the wares of the location. Amazing terrarium kits priced fairly and a large selection of reptiles especially if you are into snakes.Staff was very knowledgeable on set up costs for basic kits for first time pet owners as well as care and maintenance of your new friend. And pointed me to cheaper cost options instead of directing me first to the pricier options making me ask about the pricier options. In my opinion this is a plus shows they care about getting the customer set up to be loyal and lifeclong over gouging once and never seeing again.Staff also showed a great knowledge of other pet shops that handle the exotic market and did not hesitate to share knowledge and information.Thank you ladies you have earned a customer and hopefully this review gets you a few more top notch customer service with a beautiful collection

The BSFL were a disappointment. I bought the 100 pack and lucky if there were 50 and they were mostly very small. Everything else I've gotten from insect feeders to supplies has been good with prices that rival or are a bit better than online.
