Crowder Bros. has a home town store vibe to it. I lost count on how many employees asked if they could help me. Very friendly associates indeed. They have a great selection of products for the lawn and home.

The other night, I was helping a friend with a door lock, and two other people had messed up trying to install it before I was asked to get involved. I said we have to go to Ace Hardware right now, and we did, 15 minutes before closing. I felt so bad because I work in retail as well, that is hard to be closing and see customers walking in right at the end. The associate did his best to help and eventually the manager was asked for advice after several crafty attempts to make this situation with the screws work. They both went above and beyond their job to help me out, and the manager even had a custom solution that I was so appreciative of. This is the place to go. No doubt about it. Support this local business because they care, they are knowledgeable, and they don't walk away in the opposite direction like the big box stores do. Go to Ace and see what I'm talking about. You won't regret it at this location. Thank you guys, you came through and the door is locking, safely, secured, and looks amazing! I can't thank you enough again!

I’ve been a regular costumer of this store for over 9 years and I have to say that costumer service always has been outstanding but today was the exception I felt disappointed, disrespected and very discriminated by a lady named Mary Jane, I came to the store to get some paint so I had to wait till it got mixed up I got a call so I walked all the way to the front of the store looking to get better reception on my phone, as soon as I hung up this lady approached me in a very mean way questioning what I was doing in the store, if I was buying anything or not and also saying I was not supposed to be on my phone or not even in the store she almost wanted to kicked me out of the store, I felt like she was very racist. Shame on her! I’ll make sure this case escalates to where someone makes sure never happens again to anybody in our Lakeland community.

I came to Ace Hardware this evening with no idea how I was going to make this lamp shade work as a light fixture. I spoke with two gentlemen that were eager to help, I can’t remember the first man’s name but he was lovely. It was quite the challenge, because it was a vintage shade with no cord or hardware so it took complete creativity and knowledge to assemble from scratch. My reason for writing this review is because of Eric. He was the second person to help me, and he spent at least 45 minutes with me experimenting and trying to figure out how we could make this work. I cannot say enough what an asset and absolute delight he is to have in the world, and working at Ace. He explained how to use everything I bought very thoroughly, and even as the lights were turning off and the store was about to close. Outstanding customer service and THANK YOU, Eric! It turned out beautiful and I hope he is living his best life, please share this review and these photos with him.

Usually have what I need at a decent price but the checkout is almost always slow. They need to have self checkout or more cashiers. They need to redesign their checkout process to have a better flowing design.

I love this store. It has been around so long and service is absolutely the best. They don't skimp on staffing which is rare these days. The only thing I wanted to call out is they don't price match. I found something online I wanted to buy as a gift and noticed Ace carried it. I also saw that all retailers online were cheaper. I researched Ace Hardware's price match policy, and it said they do price match. Once there, I learned that because this store is a franchise, they do not price match. I felt I had done my research so I was disappointed. I don't expect retailers to always be able to price match Amazon, but all retailers online were cheaper including the manufacturer's own website. I still love the store. Just felt this was good information for others.

Live, in-person help to brainstorm through a home repair project is SO appreciated. YT and Google is great, but face-to-face advice along with an in-stock supply service is a treasure trove. Need something they don't have? No one is better on referrals and redirect to save you time. It's a human exercise of something in society we need more of.

What a wonderful place! It has canning supplies!! The wide mouth quart size and just about every other size smaller and larger. The clerks were truly and genuinely sweet and helpful. They had a ricer I'd been looking for on Am... But could never find - and it was a great price! There are so many other things there, too, like the Green Egg cooker and a whole section of inspirational gifts, plus the gardening stuff I thought would be all there was there. I am definitely putting Crowder Bros on my "best places to shop" list.It is easy to get to, right off Edgewood on South Florida in Lakeland. Ample parking and ramps for handicapped. Everywhere I looked in the store, there was something fascinating or something I couldn't get online, plus, a clerk was smiling and asking if they might help me find something.I think I'll go back there today for one of those fire pits. And more canning jars!

I have shopped at this store many times and love (loved) this store and the people there. They have always had such great customer service. But yesterday, I went in there to make a purchase. They have two check outs. One had a customer who was taking a while, but the other was open. As I walked towards the open register, I saw they had a cat sitting on the counter, and they young man there was petting the cat. I am very allergic to cats and, to be honest, do not like them at all. So I stopped a ways back from the counter to give the young man time to get the cat off the counter. But he didn't. He looked at me waiting and just let the cat sit there. Okay, I said nothing and thought I would just wait until the other register opened up. Then another gentleman saw me waiting and pointed out that this register was open. I replied that there was a cat on the counter hoping he would tell the young man to put the cat down. But he acted surprised and said I could still go up to that register. So far I had said nothing negative about the cat. I had just been waiting patiently. But when he expected me to go up to the counter with that cat sitting there, I told him I wasn't about to walk up there with that cat there. Again, I would expect someone with good customer service skills to get the cat off the counter so I could make my purchase. But no. His reply was "Well, that cat has a long history with this store." And the cat stayed on the counter. I started to just leave and make my purchase elsewhere, but about that time, the other register opened up, so I made my purchase and left. I definitely will not ever go back to that store who obviously puts more importance on a cat than on their customer. There are too many places to buy the same merchandise.

The service is unbelievably great here! While my husband shopped, an employee invited our sons and myself to pet their store cat. Then, another employee let them pick out balloons. This store has a wonderful small town, old-fashioned charm. They had a large selection and we found everything we needed for our project. We will definitely return!

And somehow they managed to fit almost every weird part that I've looked for in their little store.
