What the heck happened to this store over the last three years! It has done nothing but go downhill! The food is rotting in the bins...bins are empty! Store used to be great, as per my previous review below in hyphens! See my pics from yesterday, this is disgusting! Where is management!!!THIS IS MY OLD REVIEW FROM 3 YEARS AGO!!!"Kudos to Save a lot for cleaning this store up! It has definitely improved recently. Terrific friendly staff. I met the new manager, she was so nice and helpful! Keep up the good work!"

When I went up to pay there was an older lady in front of me and she couldn't walk fast. But your cashier just rushed me for my cart. I said that I would like like to wait for the lady to get out of the way, she gave me a "REALLY LOOK".

Clean cheap high quality aggravating and sometimes but because only you have to pay for your bags and your shopping cart bring your own bag go green you're not a problem none of it is beautiful store beautiful staff love it but they don't always have what you want p brand that is why I am only giving it 3 Stars

We stopped there in our RV for a late night rest stop until they opened for our morning grocery shopping.The best and most memorable thing about them is the Cattlemen's Association mural on the side wall. (My wife did the shopping while I took photos).

Prices of food are much lower than bigger grocery stores in the area and the food is just as delicious! Who doesn't want to save money?

The produce and meats are fresh. I find a lot of products that I can’t find elsewhere. The prices are better than the other stores in my small town.

First and only trip - highly over rated. A few fresh and some canned vegetables were a fair price, but some 'fresh' greens looked like they had been run over in the parking lot. Checking out was also an adventure. Problems with the card reader, took 4 tries to get it to read. Manager came over to my cashier and told him she was going out; then looked at me and said something like if the register hadn't printed a receipt, then the transaction wasn't complete. I worked in grocery and retail stores before she was born, but apparently the manager thinks it's good business practice to blame the customer for front-end problems. What did she hope to accomplish with her attitude? Well, it sealed my decision to never go back and to NEVER recommend this store. Also, if you're determined to go anyway, be prepared to pay for the plastic bags too. Where's the savings? Beats me.

No 1/2 & 1/2 in the store. Hubby asked MARLENA if there was possibly some in the back. She went INTO the truck full of delivered items that day and got one for us. What a special employee Save a Lot has. She could very well have told him no...if it's not on the shelf thalen we are out but she didn't. Happy Thanksgiving Marlena and to all the employees at Save A Lot in Lake Placid, FL.

Great staff, great prices. Clean store. You just have to search the whole site to find good deals. The sell a big pizza for Uber $7 that child the kids when your tired and don't want to cook. Plus the 5 for$20 you find alot of great deals. Not too much fried stuff though. Good selections on fresh fruit and veges. Just don't forget your 1/4 for a cart. 😆God Bless.And you get the quarter back 😆

I have been to several Save a Lot stores including one owned by Dave Jackson in Clinton, IL. I use his store as the standard for CLEANLINESS, ORGANIZATION, AND FRESHNESS OF PRODUCE. I was disappointed to see that this "new" store does NOT measure up. Dried up mess on the floor as we entered and another a bit further down the aisle. Very disappointed. Maybe a little work on pride and teamwork is needed. Glad for other stores nearby.Update 12/27/2021Store has improved over time. Much cleaner (always room for improvement) than 2 years ago. Staff is more helpful and courteous. Stocking is better but still lags a bit too much. Thanks for making it a place we can use.

I love Save-a-Lot! I go there almost every day! Love the prices and the staff! They are always very nice and eager to help out. They have changed things around and it looks great. When I went in today, alot of things were missing or only had a couple of things. Maybe they were waiting for a truck to come in or something. The shelves were getting bare.

This was my first visit to Save A Lot and I'm glad I went. I found a lot of items I usually buy at a much better price then the other options in town. Store was clean, easy to find items and really friendly people. Linda was really helpful with how everything worked. We'll be back!

Worst store around highlands county. Sorry, but you need to get rid of the lady named Linda. I don't even know the lady and the way she treats her customers is disgusting. She's always in a grouchy mood and anything that's inconvenient to her the whole store will hear about. Customer service needs worked or you will lose customers. As does your signs, some items didn't have a sign on them. And other things were marked WIC when they were not Wic items. Also I dont understand why the cashiers are at the back of the store.

Hate the new remodel. What was wrong with the old set up. Hell the store was barely just built a couple years ago anyway. Some new items brought in is ok. Hate that they don't sell the can mountain Hollar anymore. Still have the 2 liters so what gives? The replacement sodas for them is nasty. Ugh Bring back the MOUNTAIN HOLLARS!!! please. Overall I do all my shopping here I love the prices, save for a few items they don't sell then I go to Winn Dixie. JS. Oh and there is always just like 1 person working most of the time and it is bs for 10 people in line. Store cleanliness is ight not the best they can do. And the quarter shopping carts is ideal. Saves them from having to collect the buggies.. I mean there is 1 person working most the time as I mentioned so who would collect the carts.. JS. But good prices on most stuff, yet so expensive on the bakery items, might as well go to Publix for them and get them fresher and sometime cheaper! 🤗.

You can save shopping here, but as with anyplace you shop you must be aware of prices elsewhere. Aldi style cart system so you need a quarter to use a shopping cart.If you want a bag you must either bring your own or buy one of theirs.

This store looks amazing lately. Great prices, very friendly staff. I have been shopping at this sav a lot since the store opened. The store was very clean for first 9 months & a pleasure to shop at. I noticed a decline in the cleanliness & my shopping experience starting last August. In March of this year I notice the store looking better eveytime I shopped. Yesterday while shopping the store look amazing & my shopping experience was a pleasure.

Their doing their best after the hurricane... Lot of refrigerated stuff is low .. But all in all you can get most of what you need to survive till things get back to normal ... Just be thankful for what we have it could be worse!!

Good deals but most fruit was rotten an Everytime I go long lines one cashier Evan when others are around . I think taking care of clients priority making shore food is edible if not needs to b removed please an friendly people is a most an seems to b lacking thier not mean just not inviting why do we want to come back . Please figure it out I no u have great people

Good place to Save Money on a lot of basic grocery. Fresh vegetables are in good condition and meat is nice. Only thing I watch is the expiration dates on milk. Sometimes it's very close.

One cashier, who was new and at this point a bit freaked out and stressed, 10 customers in line. Of course something went wrong she had to leave front line( register, front door, office) to find actually find help the first person she could find looks at her, us, and straight up just walked out of the store. When i get home at least a third of my produce had to be thrown away that day since I had no vehicle in which I could go back to return them I did give one star because I was able to write a list of what I need based on online. Ads. Sservice was awful not one staff member except cashier greeted or acknowledged any customers accept to turn their heads to not be noticed. Store was also clean, stocked, and accessible. A store will nev we find good help if you put such a heavy burden on your last line of fire. I felt horrible for the new cashier

Nice selection on items however, don't let the name Save-A-Lot fool you into thinking that everything is cheaper than your regular grocery store. Plus there's the downside of if you don't catch the fruit and vegetables Early in the Morning by mid-afternoon they look defeated.

People need to know that Save-a-lot in Lake Placid Florida is a great addition to the community. The more expensive stores in the area are great, but this is wonderful! We shop at Save-a-Lot up north and we are so glad we have more choices now! Save your money!
