I stopped by to look for a blanket my friend had bought and I wanted one. Unfortunately the sale on the blanket was not still going on, but the cashier gave me a discount anyways. Great store and friendly staff !

Bought new Yeti Tundra 45 Saturday and when placed in boat same day realized it did not have a drain plug. Called west marine before they closed and was told “ I should have checked it for the plug before I bought it” and they would have to review the “footage” because they had no proof it wasn’t there when I bought. Even went so far as to say “I’m not calling you a liar”. Seriously? Is that a normal requirement when purchasing any item to make sure every part is there? Especially a Yeti from a reputable retailer? Why would I purchase a 300 dollar yeti and intentionally make up missing a 10 dollar part. I supposedly was speaking to the manager Nathan and he finally said come back in and “most likely” he would give me a plug. So drive back 20 miles (on vacation no less) to MAYBE be given a plug that should have been part of the cooler to begin with? Honestly I think Yeti would cringe at this lack of support for their product. Nathan never entertained an ounce of customer service and was defensive and accusatory from the second i explained the unfortunate situation instead of trying to rectify it. West Marine has always been easy to work with so clearly this is a store manager issue but will also be writing yeti

We are leaving the store and was the worst experience ever. We asked for assistance because no one offer it, the guy comes and gets the chair we want down,he says he can call another store to see if they have another one, he leaves and complete forget about usm I make the line to pay, there was a lady as teh cashier, I explained what happened and she says he git caught up, ao I ask for her to call the store, and she pretends we wait longer because she says she has other things to do...then she pretends to call and says noone answer.... She was racist and rude, we are latin amd she treated us comoletely different than the white customers. If you are going to work in customer service you need to provide the same service to everyone if you are not capable of it, then do not work with the public. West marine should invest in better training their employees.

The worst experience ever! Ordered online epirb on May 27th, happened to check the order around Jun 7th and called "customer service", the order was delayed , no communication, then at the end of June the order was canceled by West Marine ,again I called "customer service" because they just sent an email not mentioning a refund. Today was the first time that anyone apologized for the lack of communication and wasting my time on having to regularly follow up on an order that was placed at the end of May. If you have time to waste and don't really need the equipment, then go ahead an place an order. Good Luck!

This is the store to visit for any last minute vacation purchases! I made three trips in one week (we had some boat issues) and the manager, Marissa, and her associate, Capt. Ann, made every trip very pleasant. Thank you both for all of your help!

The manager, Justin, is the man. Incredibly helpful and puts forth the extra effort that you always hope for in retail. If they don't have it on the shelf Justin will find it for you which is so incredibly helpful when living in the Keys and not all things are readily accessible. Majority of his staff are also very kind, helpful and greet you with a smile.

The best part of being regular west marine shoppers is having an account with our purchase history and full customer support when needed. Today had to exchange a radio which was unfortunately missing some installation parts. But the guys looked it up on our account and offered to exchange. Its a bit pricey, but they have or can quickly get just about anything for your boat or for fishing!

I have done pickups at this store since they built it. The store employee Justin is by far the absolute worst person to deal with. The first experience I had with Justin Besides him staring at you and treating you as if your less of a human than him... he refused to type the 10 dollar off code in the computer. Told me to drive home and print it out for him. I literally drove an hour to do this. So the very nice woman Cindy who works there typed it for me. He has always made it extremely difficult when returning warrantee covered items as he huffs and puffs and stares at you the entire time making it uncomfortable. I will drove to Miami before I ever spend another dime in this place as long as this Justin is an employee. I literally spend thousands of dollars at west marine.

Driving to Key West I stopped into this West Marine to get a new battery switch for my boat, mine was broken. They had a switch that would work, but I was unsure exactly about installing it without shocking me or damaging my electronics.The store clerk( young man) gave me advice and it was spot on, no shock or short. Boating trip on schedule. Thanks West Marine for your knowledgeable staff.

Amazing that on multiple occasions, they picked up the phone for my call and left me off the hook. It was pleasant to hear the background noises of the store, though. Would’ve been more pleasant if they were willing to accept my business.

Love West Marine especially the one on MM103 but there is an older man that works here and he is very unprofessional and won't help for nothing. Just keeps asking if I'm done looking. Really did not feel welcomed here especially after getting great customer service at other West Marines.

Convenient for the keys, great service. Will order what you need. If your own a boat or are traveling by boat they are 5 minutes from Lorelie's. Anchor in Barley Basin, dock your dinghy at the docks at the restaurant and walk there. We stayed in the Bay for a few weeks, finished some projects on the boat. They helped a lot. Joe was a big help.

Drove over an hour to pick up about 4K in electronics. They wouldn’t let my wife & son use the bathroom due to covid. So they tell us to go across the street. We tried but they wouldn’t either. WTH! Customers should demand a bathroom from local business, especially when doing business with them.This isn’t right.

I'm a West Marine Pro Member. .. Very pleased WM is here in Islamorada! However...Store stock is a bit limited... help unavailable & the loud "Music" is annoying to the max. Asked about it and the staff says they are helpless to turn it off. I don't think WM got to be the largest Marine Hardware retailer in the United States this way.

If you own a boat and are in the Florida Keys and find yourself in need of just about anything related to your "Black Pearl" do yourself a favor and go see this guys. If they don't have it they'll get it for you, whatever that might be.If they can't get it they tell you where it's at.They're Awesome!
