I would be very careful if you go to this vet. She charges 5 times what other vet’s in this area charge and after 5 weeks and two treatments at a cost of $792.00 my dog had to go to another vet to get better. The second vet cost $88.00. Be careful

This veterinary clinic is the perfect model for a Systematic Scam. I was quoted $89 to $100 to examine my dog. The scam goes like this: the clinic takes you to a separate waiting room where helpers quote you a low examination fee; the helper then separates you from your animal to be seen by the vet in another area (you never get to see or speak to the vet until she's finished treating your animal which provides her time to add expensive services she has not first cleared with the animal owner). I fully expected the veterinary assistant or the vet herself to provide the cost for any additional treatment other than initial assessment. I did not see the vet until AFTER she performed treatment that I did not first approve. The clinic staff made it clear upon my arrival that the doctor refers out most all procedures and that blood tests and vaccinations are done to facilitate referrals, so I didn't expect an invoice for much higher than $100 as the case was being referred out after a blood test. So, here is what I consider to be the scam. The vet does not see the animal Owner (at all) until AFTER she returns your pet, tells you what she did (without first providing Informed Consent thereby neglecting the owner from being able to decide whether to move forward with treatment or decline further treatment after the initial evaluation). The vet then swiftly disappears into her office before the vet assistant then presents you with an absolutely outrageous bill. Do not let a clever response to this review say that I was anything other than a gentleman during my visit or that I was simply emotional over a dog. In MY OPINION, This is a Scam. After I was hit with a bill of over $850, I told the assistant that the veterinarian should have presented me with a quote for any charges over the basic "$89 or $100" fee for initial evaluation and examination, ESPECIALLY AFTER she said that they refer out most all procedures. Avoid this vet clinic if you can. If not, ask the veterinarian for a detailed treatment plan with all included costs, before allowing her to touch your animal further. Better advice is to see another vet clinic. I do not know who regulates veterinary clinics in the State of Florida, but they will SOON hear from me regarding this occurrence. Avoid this Vet at ALL COSTS because it might just cost you dearly. Not an honest clinic.

Couldn't ask for a better Vet's office. Everyone is so nice and caring. Dr. Colombo was excellent at explaining things, the staff is excellent. Our dog, Apollo wasn't even nervous about being there. 5 stars isn't enough! Highly recommend.

So thankful that I switched my animals to Dr. Colombo. She saved my cat who suffers from Megacolon and now she is helping us with our dog that has an awful ear infection. Her staff is wonderful too! They are all very communicative and extremely helpful. AND Dr. Colombo spends time with you- she doesn't rush the visit.

The Riverside Animal Hospital only cares about people with a lot of money to spend. They could care less about the average person and because of their greed, lies and lack of caring it has cost my dog his life.*Follow up for response from ownerYou respond to a review 7 years later and I can tell you have no clue who I am. You didn't diagnose my dog or really do anything except for coming up with excuses not to treat the animal. I rescued a dog with heartworms, and you lied saying the medication wasn't available. I put my dog down to end the suffering and I did research and figured out you are a liar, and you didn't want to help because you figured I didn't have money. After me and my dog left, I never returned and just wrote this review because I was upset about my awesome dog. I can tell by your response you make so many people mad you cannot even keep track.

After several interactions with Dr. Columbo and her staff, Liz and Kevin, I feel it necessary to to recognize them publicly as caring, professional, cordial, personable people. I feel that my dog gets the best attention from this affectionate and honorable staff. Dr. Columbo is thoughtful in her advice and recommendations. She does her research and advises accordingly. Liz is great with her handling of information and always follows up on any any action taken. Kevin is great with my dog. I really value my dog. So it means a lot when I say I trust him and Liz and Dr. Becky with the handling of my boy. I have no worries about any of the staff. Everyone there treats my boy as if he was their own. Animals are the best, and so is this office.

My dog was SO happy and relaxed even after having a billion things done to her very tender eye. This is a picture of my dog in Dr. Colombo's exam room. My dogs had been on mediation from another vet for a week and her eye was still very infected and swollen. After 30 minutes with Dr. Colombo she could open her eye and it was well on it's way to recovery. Dr. Colombo explained what the causes might be and took a sensible and least invasive course to start ruling out causes and best courses of treatment. It was affordable too. Dr. Colombo stopped her exam a couple times just to sweetly rub my dogs muzzle. The receptionist and vet tech were very warm and a pleasure to meet. Both were just a great as Dr. Colombo.

Dr. Colombo, Liz and all the staff are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and comforting especially in a stressful time not knowing what was wrong with my older bulldog. They went over and above to meet my concerns and now have Jill on the fast track to health and well being.

Easily the best Veterinarian we have ever had in 30+ years of pet ownership. Dr. Columbo and her staff sincerely care about their patients and owners and it shows in all their actions. Dr. Columbo always takes the time to fully address our concerns no matter how absurd they may be. Never dismissive, always genuinely friendly and polite. We now have a second generation of pets that visit her and they love her and Liz... I find it disturbing that someone who admittedly was soliciting the Office for a "Donation" left a bad review. That review does not match our experience at all.

This vet office is like family!! They take great care of our dog and care so much for her. Our visit today was for checking out our dog because she acting funny although last night and this morning she seem to be feeling better Rebecca took her time and check ed her over found she need nails trimmed and a little gunk in one of her ears. It was a small fee to make sure our family member was feeling okay. And I live their following up. Always nice and plensent calls and visits to this office.Thank you for taking such good care of us!!

Dr. Colombo is by far the best Veterinarian I have ever been to! She genuinely cares about both the owner and the pet. She helped me and my other half get a grip of his food allergy, allowed me to pick up more rx food when I did not have the funds and allowed me to pay several days later. She also offers military discounts, which is nice in a community that houses Patrick Airforce Base. I cannot say enough good things about her. I have been to vets in the past that use unproven methods/"medicines" to treat ailments with little to no resolve. Dr. Colombo ONLY provides quality, proven to be effective therapies and truly loves animals. Thank you!

I left a largg veterinary clinic because of OUTRAGEOUS charges & always getting interns instead of a state licensed vet. Needless to say, I was shocked😨 to see a comment about Riverside Animal Clinic "only catering to ppl with money!" That has NOT been my experience at all. In fact, on my 1st visit, given the extent of IsaBella's exam, the take home fecal/urine test, flea treatment, shampoos, AND the amount of time Dr Colombo spent with us, I felt her charges were VERY fair. I was extremely impressed with the Dr's extensive knowledge of my fur baby's issues & her advice. Given past experiences with a previous clinic, I held my breath when a blood panel was recommended. I exhaled💨 when the price I was quoted was less than I expected.😁 As for the staff, they've ALWAYS been extremely nice, caring, helpful and accomodating. I'm extremely picky when it comes to medical Dr's & veternarian Dr's and would HIGHLY recommend Riverside Animal Clinic.👍

Let me first say I think Dr. Columbo and staff are fantastic, My sweet baby was so sick ty o the point I took here to a local Vet , here in Titusville. After he did absolutely nothing, he proceeded to tell me she shakes her head and her lips are dropping because she's a Bassett hound and 10. Shes a (Artesian Norman Basset) shes smaller than a normal Basset. I called Dr. Columbo's office and she got me in with in a day, She had so many Allergies and Ear Infection, She prescribed 5 different medications, Its been about 4 days and she 's improving every day. Thank You Dr. Columbo and staff , for making Bella well....I was really worried about her, you know as pet owners ,animals can't tell you there sick. We just know OUR pets when they don't feel well......I live in Titusville and I don't mind driving 45minutes to see a Vet She is truely the best Dr. You'll ever find for your pets......

When I moved to this area, I began to search for a vet for my beloved dog. I visited Riverside Animal Hospital to check it out. I had moved from a rural area where the vet visits were mostly just annual vaccinations. When Dr. Columbo did bloodwork and ordered tests, I wasn’t too sure about whether the expenses were warranted. I was so wrong! Through these tests, my dog was put on medication and food that improved his quality of life tremendously. Dr. Columbo and her staff are loving and truly care about your pet and making sure it lives the healthiest life possible.
