The shop is clean and well stocked. The owner is fantastic! I surrendered a found bird to him, he was so helpful and very clearly loved the birds. Buy your bird supplies at this local small business, highly recommend!

What an amazing place. My family recently had to give up a bird and we had no idea where to turn to. We wanted to make sure he went to a nice place and end up in a good home, but it's hard to feel certain that that would happen.As soon as we pulled up, we knew this place was special. It's on a beautiful tract of land and you can hear the birds when you enter. Ellen met us and showed us where she keeps the birds (she keeps the small ones separate from the big ones).I wasn't sure what to expect when everyone kept saying the facility is "clean." After all, birds are messy. But it truly was kept up. The walkways and cages were clean, everything was well taken care of. We had arrived right as she was finishing feeding them breakfast, and I saw that many of the birds (big and small) were given fresh fruits and vegetables.Ellen, the woman who runs it, is such a sweet and passionate woman. She cares deeply about the birds and the homes they go to. She even keeps in contact with some of the owners after. I have every bit of trust in this place and, though we're incredibly sad to be losing our beautiful baby, we know he'll be happy and safe here.This place was a Godsend and I would recommend it to anyone who either wants their bird to go to a safe home or wants to adopt from, and support, such a wonderful place.

Ellen is a superhero to birds and other animals. The care she gives every single animal in her care is amazing. Some birds are living out their years there in a beautiful setting with wonderful care and attention. Every bird gets exactly what it needs and some need intense medical treatment when surrendered and Ellen and crew provide it. I was blown away by the facility.When the bird is ready to find its forever home Ellen matches each bird with the prospective adopter, who has applied and been approved. I can’t recommend this Parrot Rescue enough…..I am totally smitten with the fantastic African Grey I adopted.It costs a lot to care for all these animals so please donate to help these deserving animals. Lovely place. Beautiful property. Lots of animals, besides the parrots. Parrots have plenty of toys, good food, clean cages, and are overall well cared for. Owner and workers genuinely seem to love what they do. We are grateful that this sanctuary exists and to anyone who surrenders a bird here: know it’s in good hands.

Went there with my wife, looking to adopt a cockatiel and we were greeted by Ellen the owner of the sanctuary. Her enthusiasm and sincerity in showing us her wonderful set up was contagious!!!!!! She is completely dedicated in the well being of the animals under her care which are priority number one for her. For anyone looking to adopt one of her precious birds, I would recommend this establishment without hesitation.

Loved this sanctuary! It was bird paradise - for myself and the birds. Ellen takes wonderful care of birds that have been abused or abandoned. It is very enlightening to know that these exotic birds have a safe home in which they’ll be taken care of!I hope to go to her sanctuary every time I go to Florida.

Ellen ,the owner, is amazing. We loved her, she is sooo good with animals and cares so very much. The place I did not wanna leave.we got our baby from her and she is great. So lucky to find them.Btw, we drove almost 3 hours (6 hours total) just to adopt from her.

I was totally amazed. Over a hundred parrots prairie dogs sheep cattle parakeets other types of birds gorgeous gorgeous location. Sweetest person in the world loving those birds and taking care of them if we hadn't had a schedule to go by I would have been content to stay there all day long and just follow her around to see her routine and all her babies, her birds.

Ellen has a true compassion for animals. She does a great job taking care of of both resellable and extremely the needy Birds . She is very knowledgeable cross Species, and has a very nice disposition. If you want to give a bird a truly safe and loving place to live, or you wish to give a bird a lifetime home... I reluctantly had to find a sanctuary for my sweet Conure parrot, Piper. I googled rescues near me and Ellen’s website popped up. After reading the reviews I knew I had found the right place for Piper. It was confirmed after I visited and met Ellen. She is ALL about her beloved birds! Piper jumped on her shoulder immediately! I am amazed at her dedication to providing a loving environment for a variety of birds from a variety of situations. She is one of a kind! I miss Piper terribly but know she is loved and cared for by the best! Thank you Ellen!

Incredible experience. I had to give away my cockatiel, Pria (the love of my life) but was so worried about where she would go and if she would be happy. I also had a hard time finding literally anywhere to take her. As soon as I pulled up, I knew I chose the right place, the only place I could trust. Pria was immediately calm and I could tell she would be fine- me and Pria had nothing to worry about. After some tears and saying goodbye, I left with a smile on my face knowing she was in the perfect place. I couldn’t be more thankful. If you are looking for a safe place to take your bird, no matter how far the drive, it is 100% worth it for a peace of mind. I drove over an hour and a half and I would’ve drove twice as long just to know she’s in the right hands.
