I was desperate to get my dog groomed. I made a same day appointment with groomer Danielle J. She was friendly, polite, and a good listener. I felt reassured leaving my dog with her. She had him ready for pick up in 2 hours and his haircut was perfect. I will definitely book again with Danielle!

I purchased my daughter 6 fish both were different species. However the next morning one had passed away I called and the person on phone acted inconvenienced as he explained to me what to do, the next day (day 2 after buying them) 4 fish were dead. I ended up going elsewhere to buy more fish after spending 145$ on a tank and 6 fish.Not to mention a rude employee (female) who was rude to my child asking questions about the fish and their tanks,etc. We will not be back!!This was my second experience with them. Last time was 2 years ago I purchased 2 bearded dragons. One of them died 2 days after purchasing.

Good variety, helpful staff, my dog Harley loves to shop for treats here and meeting other dogs and people! I love that they host adoption events, it's how we got Harley in the first place! That said, I really wish they didn't sell live animals, especially not birds/exotics, but that's not exactly something local management has control over. I did get my little Loki bird here 5+ years ago though, and she doing absolutely splendid with proper diet, exercise, daily enrichment, and regular vet care 🙂

Great selection of products for typical pets. Decent selection of freshwater fish.They have pet adoptions set up every weekend for dogs, cats, and occasionally bunnies. They also offer grooming services.

There was no one in the fish department. Another customer asked if I worked there while I was standing around for so long waiting on someone. Variety of fish are meh. Lots of mollies, platties, guppies and your basic tetras. No live plants in the tanks. They're all sold in the plastic shipping tubes. Those ones usually lose all their foliage over time once they're fully submerged in water.

I always add on the deluxe package and they never put a bandana on my dog. I thought maybe I was mistaken on the deluxe coming with one but I wasn’t. It says it clearly on the website. When you pay $81 for a service that says something is included you shouldn’t have to ask for it.

We live less than a mile away. So it was a simple decision to make it our personal place for our 6 week old husky. We already purchased a few things and signed her up to get her next set of shots. They also have a training program. Highly recommend this place.

The dog adoption today was really hard,it was almost time for the event to end and the people hosting it were slamming the cages loudly and one very terrified hoarder rescue(Cappy)in my opinion should not of been brought in public and one lady was so upset about him she started crying at the sight of him and none of the animals had water.

personally, would have this location taken down if it was up to me. They abuse animals in the open and do nothing about it when it is brought up. As a chinchilla owner, every time I see a rodent or a chinchilla in this store it is never healthy and always sickly looking and acting.

Easy to find store, stuff inside not so easy.. plus why are they so expensive your definitely going to throw all your money away here for 3 things but the adoption part, had this beauty. There was a few cats here poor babies

Always a very busy location. When you can find help, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a large selection. They used to carry a great selection of Castor and Pollock organic cat and dog food which is just amazing. But I've had a had time finding it lately. The Organic Cat food is the only one our cat will eat. They are super picky.

I used the Gainesville's PetSmart to pick up a puppy I was adopting from from Faithful Friends Pet Rescue and Rehoming, Inc. PetSmart treated me like a King helping me to shop for supplies I needed. Provided me with a discount booklet for most every thing I bought, Were so very helpful and friendly. it was a pleasure. And as you see Buddy gave them 5 stars as well!

I needed some supplies for a baby turtle that showed up at my daughter's house. PetSmart had everything we needed to keep it safe before we returned its back to its habitat. Very nice staff who gave advice, as to what I need to purchase to get the job done.

Groomer Mandi is amazing! I called one week ago and very nervously made a first time grooming appointment for my dog after no lie spending ten minutes on the phone asking many questions which Mandi professionally and kindly answered. My little chihuahua is fear-aggressive and will gladly savage a stranger's hand if they tried to pet him. Mandi suggested a 7am Monday grooming appointment where my chihuahua could receive the special attention he needed when it was quiet. I made my husband take him because I was worried my nervousness would rub off of my chihuahua and Mandi spoke with me on the phone AGAIN before the appointment. She assured me she would not force my chihuahua and would put making him have a positive experience her first priority. I asked that she call us if we needed to pick him up for any reason and she took both my husband and I's cell phone numbers. Her estimation of an hour and a half was spot on and she called us 15 minutes ahead just like she said she was going to and told me he did wonderful, didn't even shake. I was glad! I know people can say anything on the phone but I went myself and once I saw Mandi holding my chihuahua who was smiling and wagging his tail I knew she was telling us like it is. I even saw my chihuahua give her a lick on her face! The photos speak for themselves. His paws are meticulous and he looks absolutely stunning. Most of all she BELIEVED me even though my chihauhua's behavior did not seem to warrant the precautions and it gave him the experience he needed to assure I can continue to take him without problem. We did the premium grooming package + nail grind with no ear cleaning/no anal gland cleaning.

The store is great, but I still have no idea what the groomers even did. I paid for the FURminator and its like my dog came back with more loose fur than before. Not to mention that I paid for a gland excretion and they just didn't do it. I took my dog to the vet the next day for an unrelated issue and they even said, "I don't know what happened at the groomers, but they were full." Unless you want to over pay for a bath and a bandana, I wouldn't waste my time.

Great place to train your dogs. Or clients dogs .. Gainesville k9 approves. Also kudos.for all the awesome adoption events that are held here. Without rescues and volunteers. Dogs would not have all the opportunities they have.

I am super pleased with PetSmart's groomers. I've taken my poodle 3 times now, and they've done an amazing job. She comes out perfectly groomed, and I love that they add little ribbons to make her look even cuter!

Staff is good but the weird manager. I buy several hamster before then the manager didn't allow me to buy a new one,they said I have a snake and eat the hamster, so weird. I take care of the several hamster good but the manager said I feed the snake!He didn't listen any reason then tell me go somewhere else.

Needed to figure out why my bearded dragon seemed a bit out of it. Ava informed me that my dragon could basically be constipated from his diet and all the sand in his terrarium. He may not like his new room but hopefully this will do the trick. All of the items here available at pet smart except the hammock.
