Depends on which one you go to!!!! Hawthorne Rd definitely a 1 star!!! That store management has gone down hill, They never put anything up, those stocking carts are always in the middle of the isles, it's kinda dark in the store. Management will it's the customer or staff lies. I've been going there since they put the store there and they have had good staff members in the past that have left cause of management. The store needs to be restocked and redone and cleaned overnight!!!

It was an weird experience, I was driving and decided to stop because I had to use the restroom. I walked in looking around for the restroom sign and when I asked they handed me a key attached to a ruler and a look at me funny like I was their to steal something. Must be a lot of thefts in that area. I felt like someone was outside the restroom while I was using it lol a very weird feeling so I used the restroom it was clean which was the plus of my experience. After that awkwardness I shopped for my items paid for my things and left. My all over experience rating was a one star I was uncomfortable it did not feel like a welcoming environment.

Had everything I needed last minute..all the big stores were out of everything.. stopped on my way home and they were fully stocked enough for last minute Christmas shopping!!! Perfect!! And the employees were awesome!! Should have made this my first stop today and I would have saved myself hours of stress... first stop now on !! Thank you D.G. saved my Christmas!!!

It's amazing how allost all DG's are basically the same... and that's not necessarily a good thing. The people who work at this store are always really nice though, so that's a positive. It just sucks that there are two registers, but usually only one cashier you front. So you end up with this huge line of people. This store is relatively clean and you can find some good stuff for cheap if you look closely.

It was amazing. The players came out before the show and was walking around and introducing themselves as their character. We thoroughly enjoyed it and we'll go back again. The food was was also amazing. My husband had the prime rib and it was cooked to Perfection. I had the cornish hen and it was so wonderful. The play was funny and very interactive. I won a prize since I figured out who did it and why!

Do not shop at this store!!!! Staff is VERY VERY rude and will accuse you of stealing!! Tried to return an item, they accused my daughter of stealing the item that I purchased, and kept it. Even called the police to try and arrest my daughter. All this happened in front of my grandkids. I have been in touch with the store in Chiefland where I purchased the item. They were very helpful and gave me the number to call where I can prove my purchase. Still considering getting an attorney to handle this. Dollar General needs to replace the employees at this location. Until that happens, I don't advise ANYONE to shop at this location. Don't spend your money where you don't get the customer service you deserve. We work too hard for our money to be treated this way. One star rating is still too high.

This Dollar General was in an idea place, just of the bus route. It was handicap accessible and easy to get in and out. The customer service was questionable, the associate was to busy doing something else and was not people oriented. Although this store wasn’t too pleasing, it doesn’t speak for all Dollar General stores.

The parking lot is a disaster. The staff seems to be underpaid and there's never enough people working. They don't staff people to stock the shelves so the cashiers are constantly trying to do two jobs. If it wasn't the closest thing we have to a grocery store we'd never go there.

Horrible☹😡only 1of 3 registers working, and 1 have been down x3months now and 1 has been broken x3 days. You have a line no less than 15 people waiting to check out at any given time many have just gave up and left items and walked out. Some enter the store look and turn around and walk right back out. This is the only quick stop the the working /family person have on the way home and we depend on you and your service on the east side next to Walmart aka SlowMart for the residents in this area. We are the for gotten ones. All of the retail and build,money productivity is on the other side of town therefore if you choose to serve us at least treat us like we are somebody of importance to you and you appreciate our business even if you really dont at least make us feel like it we are not getting these items FREE we are working people trying to live our life the best we can.SincerelyA Regular Customer

I wanted to say --minus. Rude treatment. I'm 71 years old have a horse farm w/15 employees. Having a birthday celebration for myself I spent 65.00 on decorative items and refreshments. I picked out different beer and wines enough for employees who were not with me but it made no difference to the cashier. I had a ID that expired on my birthday!! I'm seventy I train throughbreds for the racetrack outside and look my age! "IT'S AGAINST THE LAW, YOU HAVE 5O SHOW I'D S TO PROVE YOUR OF AGE TO BUY LIQUER. FINE AND GOODWILL IS LOST AT THIS STORE, MY RANCH IS ACROSS FROM THE LARGEST SHERIFF S DEP. And next door to Gator Refreshments in gainesville where I purchased 150.00 beer and wines for the party, oh, buy the way I was on crutches because I just had a operation for a total knee. Just across the street from the sheriff's dep. Is gator liquer where I bought such great wine!!Too bad, I could have purchased everthing at your store........the long blocks of horse training centers IN THIS AREA WON'T BOTHER WITH YOUR STORES AGAIN..

The place is so crowded with stuff that is hard to walk down the aisle. There is not enough walking space down each aisle but the store is a good store to go to and it's close by the house

Not always fully stocked trash on the outside of the store store is messy it looks as though it's going out of business plus there is never enough people working lines are almost always long with only one cashier working almost all dollar general stores around Gainesville are in bad shape I've stopped shopping at the one on archer road near tower road

Store is clean and prices are great, but check out is ALWAYS a Hassel. Lines are always long, and both registers being open, and properly functioning is, rare.

It's a sad that they can't get people's to work in this store. Management is horrible it's 7:30 store not open .The Pepsi truck is here waiting for someone to open
