I recently took my little shy Cavapoo for his first grooming experience to Tender Care pet salon. I’m really grateful they were able to accommodate me the day I called. Courtney has a great personality I noticed that immediately. I’m really appreciative of how she cared for Rudy. He’s a very anxious dog. When I picked him up he seemed happy wagging his tail. The haircut is beautiful. Courtney did exceptionally and I will request Courtney for his future visits!!

Update: My dog was groomed by Rachel today. It was the best grooming experience. Rachel was friendly, patient and understanding with my dog and his needs. I can’t say enough about Rachel and the care she provided for Rue. For the first time ever, my dog was totally relaxed before, during and after he was groomed. His cut is perfect, too! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Rachel! I can’t recommend her enough. 10/10.Original post: I have heard all great things about Tender Care Pet Salon and Day Spa. I have a special needs dog who has to visit the groomer often. When I called, Chris was extremely helpful. Thank you, Chris! I am truly excited to bring my dog here and I’lll follow up with another review soon!

$120 for a bath and nail trim, 135 for full grooming. Is that normal? Seems that even if they trimmed a hair or two, it’s a lot for a dog wash. The nails are still too long but I know dark nail cutting is not easy. So better safe than sorry. Opinions?

I was from out of town, in fact I’m from Canada and needed to get my cat’s nails and a sanitize butt shave for my very long hair cat. The staff were very professional and friendly. In no time at all she was done and exactly what I asked for. I will definitely take my cat back to be groomed. My experience there was great and I loved their grooming place it was very clean and bright. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

As a new and inexperienced cat dad, I brought my long haired cat for a trim and a good brush out. Second time here and both times were fantastic! Courtney was amazing. She answered all my questions, eased my nerves and had some of the best customer service I’ve had in a while. She will be my permanent groomer from now on.

Love that you can watch your fur baby on the flat screen while he/she is being taken care of! Staff is so friendly and knowledgeable! You can tell the owner put a lot of love into this place! Great coffee bar too!

Won’t take my dog anywhere else. As a snowbird, it takes a bit of time and research to find my go to spots. Found Tender Care and my experiences have been awesome. Clean facility with professional, friendly employees and excellent grooming is a win in my book. Try them, you won’t be disappointed.

We have been going to Tender Care for 3 years now, and couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. Scheduling and reminders are super easy, and we get a text message as soon as he is ready for pickup. The whole team is super friendly and groomers do a great job every time. Took our puppy to between groomed for the first time. Jackie did a wonderful job. She was so kind and patient, and the front desk staff is so kind, warm and considerate. The cut was perfect, and our puppy was so happy at the end.

I go here for nail trims for my dog...It's a great place to take your pet! You can do walk-ins for nails..no appt necessary! Everyone is so helpful and kind...my dog doesn't get groomed but I have seen dogs coming out and they're beautiful!You won't be disappointed!!

Hands down the best grooming experience Brute(German shepherd/Husky) & I have ever had! Pamela does an absolute outstanding job every single time. Not only does Brute adore her but he comes home looking handsome as ever! Blue and I had a great experience at Tender Care Dog Grooming! We went for a nail clipping which went amazing. Blue hates his nails touched and Maria demonstrated such care and professionalism which made Blue comfortable and confident he was OK. Tender Care Dog Grooming goes above and beyond; if you have a scared pooch or just don't want to leave your pup alone, you can stay the entire time! They also have a great selection of shampoos and other product. We STRONGLY recommend Tender Care Dog Grooming for your furry family member!!

September 21, this wonderful friendly, caring, cozy environment with Maria and staff held a Grand Re-opening and Fundraiser for the Lee County Animal Shelter with top prize of $600 gift basket including $400 of grooming, pet snacks and supplies for only a $20 entry ticket. That prize and ten others helped raise over $1,050 for the Animal Shelter! Fun was had by all!Great care is taken to give each pooch the best attention. Pets look, smell, and feel so much better after attention to their fur, skin, glands, eyes, and nails in a pleasant, caring environment. The shop also has a delightful array of pet gifts of snacks, chews, and grooming supplies, including CBD oils and products. They have a professional petsitter in association who does a marvelous in-home job with all kinds of dogs. Full grooming appointments are recommended, but just nail trims can usually be fit in when you call early in the day. The location has expanded and now has 4 groomers and more space. Maria and her caring crew meet and exceed every expectation!

Wow so not to get into a sob story but my mom recently passed away; and so my sister and I moved to Florida to take care of her and the dogs before she passed. Now we’re in care of them and needed a place to go for maintenance, I was nervous to find a place to be honest and these guys DIDN'T DISAPPOINT! I felt bad because we missed our exit and came late, so I always get anxious staff will turn you away or something (I understand a grace period but sometimes if you’re late—you’re late!) but they were SO KIND! Took our dogs right away, treated them so nicely and with care. They don’t like their nails touched and they did phenomenal with making sure they were comfortable and okay! I’ve never seen them be so calm during a cut. They had cameras so you can see your precious fur bb! So appreciative of how nice everyone was. Got snacks for our dogs and HUMAN SNACKS FOR US TOO! Yay lmaooooooAnd honestly the price was great, two 60 pound dogs to get their nails trimmed was $30, so I’m ecstatic. Can’t wait to come back and explore more services and spa options for our dogs! Thank you all!!!! This place rules.

Maria was kind enough to let us use her facility to bathe our standard poodles for an upcoming workshop. The salon is very clean and has everything a groomer needs to make your fur baby look amazing and feel comfortable. We even got to see a sneak peak of the new facility! **** UPDATE **** another update! Now it’s 2023 and Jackie still loves tender care 💜 we will never go anywhere else. Thank you to Maria and all of the staff for being so kind and compassionate to our fur babies**** UPDATE - it’s May 2022 , 3 years later , and I still take my Jackie here! I drop her off now I don’t stay, Jackie has come a long way she can handle being on her own now. I only do so because I know I can trust Tender care. I would never leave her alone with anyone else. Still very much recommend!!! ****Original Review November 2018I adopted my dachshund mix Jackie from a local shelter back in May - she is an angel and very sweet - but very shy ... She is apprehensive around new people and new things . She is my heart 💛 she is very special to meI was looking for a groomer that I could trust with her that I felt would be understanding to her special needsI came across tender care - and read how we the parents are allowed to stay there while being groomed and be a part of the processI was very happy for this! I did not want to drop Jackie off knowing she would be terrified - and put her though that stressI brought her in for a nail clipping, filing and a bath (she has short hair )Maria is AMAZING to her!! I cannot express this enough! I was very impressed with how Jackie handled it - and I attribute it to the comfort of me (mommy) being there with her - and the gentle care and understanding of MariaMy fears are behind me now :). We have been taking our small dog here for about 5-6 months and she's had 2 different groomers. First one was wonderful but she left. The second one, Kale, is so sweet and so good with our dog! Our dog has a little separation anxiety and is so scared when she gets there, just shaking uncontrollably. But she looks lovely and so happy when I pick her up! Highly recommened!

I've been employed here for almost 4 years and grooming for 20. I've worked in many different shops throughout the years. In the past I've only been able to stay for a year or two max due to lack of kind treatment to employees or animals. This salon became my home after experiencing for the first time a place that TRULY CARES. Everyone is so kind, patient, and gentle, even with some unruly pups. I've seen dogs come in scared or snappy and after some love and consistency are flying in the door excited to see their favorite groomer. To see these relationships form between pet stylist and the pups is truly magical. Although I will be leaving in April to retire , this shop has had a major impact on me. Not only do they give the pups a safe space full of love but they do for the staff too. Everyone is all about teamwork, being kind and helpful to one another. It really comes down to if the people employed are happy and treated with kindness then it trickles all the way down to everyone and every animal. So grateful to experience an exceptional salon and for a place raising the bar and expectations for the industry. It's no wonder why Tendercare is THE BEST of SWFL!

We are new to the area and our pit rescue needed a bath. I called this morning and they were able to squeeze her in today. She has a very sweet temperament but will shake and pull away when getting her nails done. Kayla was amazing with her!!!! She was able to keep her calm during the whole process. So blessed to have found a great place on our first visit. We will definitely be back! ** Bonus, they have cameras in each of the rooms and you can watch your fur baby the whole time!

Couldn’t speak more highly of his place. They take car of your dog One at a time. So no dogs locked up in cages. They do such a great job. They care and do what’s best for each dog. They are very educated on the best techniques on dogs with allergies and so on. I even stayed while they groomed my dog. Loved the service and the people.

Dawn is our favorite groomer at Tender Care! Sadie (mini poodle/shih tzu is always initially anxious when she goes in, but I know that she has a good time while she is there. In the pictures they take, her tail is always wagging. Dawn has also bathed my reactive dog and she does a great job with him as well. It is hard for me to trust him with just anyone and she addressed my concerns about his potential behavior during the groom. He did fine by the way!

We had a terrific experience at TenderCare! We usually do grooming at Petco and have the hardest time scheduling appointments and are usually unhappy with something. The staff was super informative, helpful, and efficient. I look forward to the next grooming appointment for either of our fur babies!
