This place is great if you like boutique motels. We stayed in one of the queen suites with a deck. The room was neat and clean. The location is unbeatable. You are right along the mouth of a canal and the bay. There is a restaurant and upstairs outdoor bar. They close at 10 so there is no late night noise. You can walk to several bars and restaurants as well as the beach. I would definately stay here again. Highly recommend.

Disappointing Stay at Matanzas InnMy recent visit to Matanzas Inn was quite disheartening. Right from the start, my room was plagued with an unpleasant odor that made it difficult to relax. This issue alone significantly impacted my comfort during the stay. Moreover, the office area was filled with a strong cigarette smell, which was quite bothersome, especially for non-smokers like myself. This made any time spent in the office area rather unpleasant.A notable inconvenience was the lack of proper curtains in the room. The existing blinds failed to block out the light effectively, resulting in a brightly lit room at night and disrupting my sleep. What truly astounded me was the lack of basic amenities like room service. Being informed that we had to request essentials like towels or toilet paper ourselves was quite surprising and, frankly, unacceptable for a hospitality establishment. This lack of service was not only inconvenient but also a clear indicator of poor customer care.In summary, the quality of the services and facilities at Matanzas Inn does not justify the price. The combination of these issues made my stay far from enjoyable, and it's safe to say that the inn falls short of basic hospitality standards.

I have loved Matanzas for a long time, my friend started a sailing adventure here in 2012 that i helped them with the boat. They have a dock that was empty while i was here in 2024 but a sign said available so I believe and hope it is functional again after the hurricane. The room had a nice kitchen seating area. Their pizza bar was behind the room and popular so it is a little noisy but they stop the live music at a reasonable time. But if you are not into that vibe be ware. The pool is nice but i like the hot tub more! Neat view of the bridge as you soak and swim.I wont lie Fort Myers Beach has not fully recovered but is open again! The buisiness under the bridge near matanzas are mostly open and it feels like it going in the right direction. Time square and near the beach feels different as much there is still destroyed. Lots of food trucks and trailers to fill the gap. The big Margaritaville complex def seems to have domination over the future. But memories of Matanzas keep that in check for me!Im 2012 there was free parking under the bridge! Just to compare the changes!

We just left this lovely property for a 1 night stay! The staff was amazing and the room was clean and in a great location. We even received a mid morning phone call to let us know the room was ready! We knew and expected the hurricane damage and chose to stay in the area and we’re glad we did. Penny was great at check in and we would stay here again!

Great food, beautiful views of the bay and marinas. We had smoked fish spread for an appetizer. The grouper sandwich is good. Hand cut fries were nice, not greasy. We really enjoy dining here.Update 10-10-2023. First floor where we previously dined at was destroyed by Ian. 2nd floor is open, different menu with shrimp burgers, shrimp salad wraps and lots of pizza. Everything was done perfectly and delicious. Our waitress DAWN was wonderful. Attentive, knowledgable with a beautiful smile you can see in the picture. Please give them a try.

We loved our stay at The Mantanzas Inn! Keep in mind the area suffered from a 500 year hurricane and there is extensive damage everywhere. The charming inn is open and making a come back. Check in with friendly Patty and Penny was easy. Our room (second floor cottage across the street) was super clean and comfy. We appreciates how close the beach was, and how many of the few restaurants and bars that are reopened were within easy walking distance. Please note that services are limited during hurricane recovery. There is currently no wifi, housekeeping,

My wife and I stayed here on Father's day weekend. Overall it was a pleasant stay. One issue we had with the room is the stale smell upon entry. Got used to it after the first day. Great location for walking to the beach and local restaurants. The only time we drove is when we went to Sanibel and Captiva islands. Walked the rest of the time. Pool was great to relax in. Great views. Will visit again soon.

Horrible! Torn fabric on box springs. Ash tray next to a no smoking sign on the table. Dirty bathroom floor. Chipped paint on walls. Booked this based upon reviews. Total ghetto location. Even the Uber driver was hesitant to leave us here! Wish this review would allow the photos I took! Noisy people dragging chairs across wood floors all night in the next room! Horrible and a HUGE waste of money for one night.

This hotel is a hidden gem. Great staff, excellent view and location. The pictures online don't do it justice. Most rooms have intracoastal water views. Our suite had a living room, full kitchen, and bedroom with queen bed. Bedroom looked out to the water with a deck out a back door. And there's two bar restaurants on premises, one being an open rooftop bar.

Very quaint but minutes from Times Square and everything else! Clean, convenient, reasonably priced. Only downside was me leaving my brand new overpriced high speed phone charging block and cable plugged into the kitchen wall 😑 Housekeeping didn't turn it in. Bummer. Great spot and great food!

Wonderful view of the water and very friendly staff. The shrimp burger had great flavor and was excellently cooked. Thought the potato salad lacked on the flavor but good consistency. Would recommend for those visiting Ft. Myers Beach.

The location is the best feature of this restaurant as it's practically on the water and sitting on the top deck you can look out over the bay and enjoy the breeze while music plays in the background. Besides that, though, the food is good, albeit a tad pricey for bar food. It's more upscale than that, though, with dishes like the amazing lobster crab artichoke dip I had served with lemon for drizzling and a generous serving of tortilla chips. The pizza was also really good. We had the Dave's docksider and weren't disappointed. Cheesy and crispy in the right ways, not quite wood fired but reminiscent of it. Very good indulgent seafood, but if you have anybody who has an aversion to fish you may find it hard to please them. I think the only non-seafood appetizer I saw was the onion rings, so the safest bet is probably pizza. Really fun experience. I only hope we can get there in time to be seated in the prime bay-side bar seats facing the water. Restaurant below a bit more buttoned up if you're looking for a place to sit down with the family, but a big bar and open atmosphere up top.

Dad and i out for dinner. Ordered raw oysters, oysters were good but they served them with little cubes of ice all over the top. It was annoying to have to pick the ice off. Dinner was great. I had bacon wrapped shrimp. Dad had salmon. Loved the view.

Nice scenery and nautical atmosphere. Prices in line with the area and quality of food. Enjoyed our appetizers of coconut shrimp and bay bread. Grouper for our main dish was excellent. Will return again for sure.

So booked 4 nignts for over $1000.00Early morning heavy equipment before 7am woke us up every morning what a joke and their landscapers are out blowing like crazy at 730 am. Don’t these people know we are on vacation management didn’t seem to care to much when approached. Also the pool cloudy and unappetizing We did not use the pool. Oh yes I forgot were living under a tremendous underpass . The rooms were okAlthought it is about 1/2 mile from everyplaceI would not come back. Do not recommend Just being honest. There are nicer places on the strip

We visited during the pandemic a couple of times. They were very considerate of our wanting to stay safe and their service was fabulous. Delicious food, great view and cold beer on tap.

We've stayed here on a few occasions in the pet friendly rooms. Everything is clean . The rooms are very nice and the A/C is cold. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you stay, make sure to pass by their 2 fl restaurant and grab one of their shrimp burgers.

This is one of the required stops each year on our vacation. I don't like seafood but you really need to get it here. A broad menu with options for everyone. Except maybe vegans I guess but I wasn't looking for that. Very service oriented staff and a full set of alcoholic drinks to choose from.

First experience was amazing, second- not so much. The young man that works as a host there was great the first night, but on the second night there was also an older woman working who pretty much ruined our entire dining experience. I asked to be sat at a table near the water and she told me no because they were saving it for a table of eleven people. I watched the table sit vacant, and I also watched the table next to it get cleared, and no such party ever showed up. One woman came in and eventually sat at the table I had requested *alone* & again, the larger table next to it sat empty. This would have been a five-star review had this older woman not ruined our second experience for no reason at all. You should always listen to your customers and respect their requests. I have worked in the restaurant industry, I know how it works, and I was and still am appalled at how I was treated.
