I can’t thank this organization enough!! They are absolutely amazing. They have helped with food for my dogs and cats with no hesitation. It’s amazing that there’s a place that cares about people and their pets instead of telling you if you can’t afford to feed them get rid of them!! This is a truly caring, selfless and generous organization. Born from personal tragedy, a family-based charity feeding struggling seniors' pets and even finding homes for the beloved pets of seniors who pass, when no options exist.Their volunteers are top-notch humans as well.Please donate your time or money, or both. I know I'm only 45 but when there is no other place for foster care for dogs and I have to choose between the animal I love or getting more infections that will end up killing me you don't think once in awhile you could help people especially someone with mental illness and a husband working 2 jobs to pay bills is to much to ask for. I take all my elderly neighbors to the stores to Dr. Appts. Not because I have to but because I was taught to help people in need despite age or race. Maybe you guys don't believe in faith or hope but I promise you this I will never give you guys a good reference ever again after how I was treated by the actual director of this place.

For The Love of Paws is an AMAZING organization run by a small crew of dedicated, selfless, totally awesome and inspiring people. The things they manage to accomplish are mind-boggling. They provide pet food to those who are in need of a helping hand. Many of our older citizens rely on their pets for love and companionship, and it can be difficult to feed them on a fixed income. Food can be picked up at the food pantry in Fellsmere or their wonderful volunteers will deliver it. For The Love of Paws also works hand-in-hand with local food banks to distribute people food to those in need. They provide sanctuary to animals whose owners need to go into the hospital or extended care. Last year they ran a drive to raise funds to purchase oxygen mask kits for animals and raised enough to buy 30 kits, providing two to each fire/rescue station in Indian River County. On top of all this, they recently opened and operate a thrift store to raise funds for all their good works. And this doesn’t include the countless hours spent networking, educating and spreading the word about the need to care for our four-legged friends. If I could rate them 100 stars, it wouldn’t be enough.

I whole-heartily disagree with that previous 2 star review. For the Love of Paws and Paws Meals on Wheels is run by a hard working family with dedicated volunteers helping low income families, senior citizens, the disabled, and Veterans, delivering weekly and on a daily basis to people in need of feeding their pets. This dedicated hard working non-profit supplies over 10,000 pounds of pet food a month to Indian River County and Brevard County residents, and if too far to drive, sent overnight through Amazon. How can you give this valuable non-profit anything less than 5 stars?

Low income, current and retired military, disabled adults can obtain free pet food three days a week. Mon, wed, frid i think from 11am tp 4p you should call and check my accuracy. They are on cr 512 west of I 95
