Everglades City Motel is an excellent 2-Star hotel. The size of room & the 2 queen beds were very comfortable for 3 adults (Room #2). The cabinetry looked new, not dinged up as I would expect in a 2-star. There was no decor, so it was a very basic, clean room that looked OK! the bathroom door stuck badly but we figured out how to close it. Room looks just like the pictures. We walked next door to Island Cafe and had an excellent dinner with good food & service. The location of the hotel on the main road and next door to restaurant was very convenient. We did not hear much road noise, but could hear the people in the next door (indistinguishable what they were saying but we could hear them on both sides). WIFI was terrible, it was hard to get on it and stay on it until after 9pm. We were here Feb 1 2024 so the weather was pleasant, but we still used the A/C which worked fine. Also very nicely located to Big Cypress and Everglades NP, which we were visiting. We paid $179 rate, which was $200 with taxes. I felt that was very high for a 2-star but this is the busy season and we were there just before a really big seafood festival, and I'm sure that rates were raised due to high demand for the festival.

We called last minute on Labor Day weekend for a room and the lady who answered was super helpful. She arranged a late check in for us and left an envelope with a ton of helpful information about the area, restaurants, tours, and things to do… she really went above and beyond. The room is very clean and comfortable — an efficiency with a larger sized mini fridge, sink, cabinets and spacious bathroom. It has been recently remodeled. This is a perfect place to stay to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Everglades.

Renovations more than adequate, very clean and comfortable, plenty of towels, maintenance boys quick to deliver brand new TV when ours quit. Would definitely come back. Close to everything!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very clean, spacious room and the motel is located in the middle of everything. Walking distance to several restaurants. They even provided a portable crib for our baby which made our lives easier. Lastly, these days I feel it's important to mention that we thought it was fairly easy to stay covid safe here as we were able to park right in front of our door and didn't have shared circulated air as we had our own a/c unit. Highly recommend!

The walls in this motel aren't at all sound proof, made worse by the inter-connecting doors. You hear everything going on next door very clearly - conversations, coughing, TV, toilet flushing, etc. Meanwhile, the bathroom has no shelving or counter space to put your stuff. You have get your things from your toiletries bag sitting on the floor. And there's no towel rails so you hang them from the shower curtain.

Remodeled motel with updated, modern conveniences. Nice location with diner next door. Conveniently located in the middle of airboat territory. Nice little town. One thing though, if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. If you're an easily irritated, light sleeper, this may not be the place for you. It's not noisy, but the noise there is, is just enough to wake a light sleeper. Regardless, it's a nice place, and I would absolutely recommend staying here.

The rooms were recently renovated after damage from hurricane Irma in 2017, and room was very clean, with a nice, comfortable bed. There were no luggage racks, and no towel racks, so wet towels had to just be thrown on the floor. Location was wonderful, providing great access to nature in every direction.Breakfast was provided at The Ivy House, which was fine, but the exact same food was provided every single morning during our stay of 7 nights, and was of poor quality.Cost of the room was very high for what was provided .

Was good for a one night stay. Does not look like much on the outside, but the room was nice. Exceeded my expectations. Was surprised that they had bicycles available for use. Didn't use them, but they looked decent.Room had microwave, refrigerator, sink, few dishes even. Kitchen area was a surprise. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a small covered picnic table with drinks vending machine and microwave (odd outside, right?). Was right in middle of parking and not super appealing , but an option!Got a 10% discount at restaurant next door with your room key.

Due to damage from the last hurricane, the office is located at a different address than the motel, but it was easy to find and the staff was polite. The room exceeded my expectations. It was large, clean, and the AC was great. There was a kitchenette and the bathroom had a big tub. You would never suspect how nice it was from the outside. A great deal!

This is a great base camp for exploring the area. Renovated 1950's motel is more than adequate. It looks like some reviewers were expecting a Ritz Carlton. News flash, that level of lodging doesn't exist in Everglades City. Come enjoy the vibe as you explore the area and think about the past!

Looks like a regular motel from the outside, but the inside of the room was totally renovated. Bed was super comfty and there was cable TV, a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and ice machine. Ladies at the check in down the street were super nice and gave us a packet of current info about the area's businesses.

This is a nice little motel in Everglades City. If you're expecting 5-star treatment, you came to the wrong town in the first place, but if you're looking for a quiet getaway then this is the place. Pretty standard room but it does have a front and back door which I liked. Recently renovated bathroom with nice hot water. I was really impressed with the room service. I stayed 3 nights and most of the chains have gotten away from daily service, but this place changed my sheets and towels every day. There's a restaurant next door (10% discount) and walking distance to a couple more and a grocery store, in case you want to pick up supplies (they have microwave, refrigerator, and coffee in-room).The only minor annoyance was that the free bike rentals at the Ivey House have to be returned each day by dark, so I couldn't keep the bike in my room overnight, but that's okay. I'll be back!

We had a wonderful time in Everglade CityWe stayed at the Everglade City Motel which was delightful. While it had an aura of old Florida charm, the room was spotless. I am certain that they had an Irma renovation - as they were still in progress. The linens were insanely crisp and clean. The staff was pleasant and accommodating.

VERY HAPPY with our stay! My husband and I have stayed in alot of places in FL as we are Naples residents and travel around for pleasure often, and we were pleasantly surprised that our king room was cleaner than some of the MUCH more expensive places we have stayed in the past! The room was big, the bathroom was really nice/modern and super clean, the bed was comfortable and the linens; towels/blankets seemed brand new, the t.v was big and mounted on the wall which we really like, the mini fridge/microwave were spot-less. We were also surprised that the room did not have that "musty" smell that almost EVERY HOTEL we've stayed in throughout FL south to north seem to have so it's almost expected at this point. We only stayed the 1 night as we were returning from a camping/hiking trip in Big Cypress Preserve were we had no electricity/water/showers for days and were honestly too tired to make it all the way back to Naples lol! Already planning our next trip to further explore the Everglades and this place will definitely be part of our itinerary!

Very nice and updated rooms. Dont look that nice from the outside but our room was all brand new inside. Other than a gecko wanting to share my shower with me our stay was great! Would highly recommend.

Too much sudden, unexplained banging all night for me to sleep. I had to unplug the fridge which seemed might be related. Good furnishings and renovation... and the room was very clean... but since rest is the main purpose of a room, and I did not get it, I cannot rate higher. Desk person was friendly and there seems to be a lot of nature to see.

Not at all like the photos. Just plain room. No hooks on doors to hang anything. Bathroom window has mold. Only one chair. Comfortable beds and nice bedding. There are better accomodations at better prices. Check around. I wish I had.

They have attempted to make upgrades to the old hotel but the people they hire cut major corners, don't expect a polished rooml. If you are interested in a later checkout, don't bother. The front staff will cut you off before you finish your sentence. We have stayed there five years in a row but will likely make a change next year. We lost power to the room intermittently, I would say the tv and lights shut off a total of six times in the past two days. They do have half kitchens in their rooms which is nice.

Easy access with parking for boat and trailer. Rooms have been redone and very nice. Ramp right down street easy to get in and out. ALERT if you have tall boat will need to use different ramp as there are some low bridges on way out. Would stay here again for sure.

Taking advantage of the great weather around the holidays, we took a trip to Everglades City to go fishing this past weekend. Since we wanted to get an early start, we decided to stay at a local place in Everglades City. We came across Everglades City Motel since it is off of the main road in and out of the City. We had a great experience there and loved the look of the room. We didn't know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised to find a nice clean room. I liked the fact that they had a tiki hut where we could hang out outside of the room. The staff was nice and treated us very well. We will be back for our next fishing trip!

Our room was nice but it had no luggage rack. We had to use the iron board. Also my husbands took a shower which was nice but had a baby frog in the shower. We named him lucky. Oh and the door had a two

Loved this place! No steps to climb! Clean with really white towels. Nice place to spend the night. One thing though, we could use a grab bar or two in the shower. Otherwise we will be back!

Nice Motel with comfortable beds. It's very clean and pretty. Like many others said, the AC is quite loud. At times it felt like i was standing next to a truck and I'm not exaggerating. Still 4 start since that really is the only negative thing i have to say about this place and it could be worse.

The price is right, nice staff, rooms are clean, decent beds, great location, corner rooms have full refrigerators, and you can back your boat up to the room and hook up battery chargers for your trolling motors. So if you are fishing choko, this is a good home base. You can use the boat ramp across the street, but it pretty shallow in places getting out to the gulf.

Though it doesn’t look like much, this is an updated and clean small motel. Very friendly front desk person. She offered us great recommendations for the area. The room was spacious. No carpet on the floor but clean. Well equipped with flat screen tv, sm fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was updated and clean with a great showerhead!
