I see they offer retile boarding. Don't do that to your animal. They are infested with mites. You won't be happy when you get your animal back. Snakes anyway. But for the sake of your animal pick another place. There just animal pushers. So bad for retile community. Couldn't post Zero stars.

Love this reptile store!! Mrs Jessica is awesome and very knowledgeable! She loves her animals!! My son used to volunteer at her store when we lived in Eustis and she's his inspiration. She helped my son make it to the reptile youth Alliance in August. She's helped him start his own clothing design. She's simply amazing!! She works with the neighborhood kids, letting them come volunteer and teaches them everything she knows. She gives them an opportunity to earn rats and other things like bedding,snakes, spiders ect. I think she's a wonderful person and what she does with the neighborhood teens is awesome!! I'd definitely give her more than a 5 star rating if I could!

This place is super friendly and they even offer free kids classes! I was lucky enough to be there during feeding time.

We were passing through and my fiance loves coral stores. They had great reviews and good looking pictures... but when we walked in it was so stinky and all the tanks were so dirty you can barely see inside of them. So we walked in and walked right out. Very unfortunate.

The service is great and the prices are good… when you can find them open. Multiples times I have gone when their website says they are open and there is an open sign on their door confirming that I am there at the correct time yet the door is locked and nobody answers the phone. This has been happening for a few weeks now. Not happy considering their weekday hours are already hard to accommodate with a working schedule. Will be finding a new store for my feeder rats.

It is a very small store supplies do go fast like feeder rats. Parking is terrible finding it not easy, park at side if you can. All of that is worthwhile. Staff is helpful friendly, told me when deliveries are an to feel free to call to be sure in stock. I have had nothing but issues finding live feed for my sweetheart, pricing was quite competitive. If they don't have it they know mostly where you need to go, and will actually help you. Definatly will be going back, and recommend.

Love this place! Feels like it's a hidden gem, to be honest. Have been here multiple times for feeder crickets (it's actually kind of hard to find a place that's out of stock) and they've always got my back.Staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and is willing to go the extra mile for the customer.Def going back multiple times in a year because spiders eat A LOT.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I don't actually own any reptiles.This is one of my favorite places, because the people are cool and the creatures inside are in the perfect place for me - which means not in my house LOL.Still, all the folks are knowledgeable and my friends with snakes and lizards say this is the place to go.This year, this place volunteered to host a challenge for the Amazing Race for Charity (which I serve on the board for) and they were awesome for us and our racers.

Small little store with a surprising variety of both reptiles and saltwater fish/inverts. Saw a Dragon Snake that I didn't even know existed there today while Jessica helped me find the perfect pet! She contacted her breeder for me and hooked me up with the perfect monitor! So glad I decided to take a trip out there this morning. Will be directing all my friend this way in the future when they're looking to purchase a reptile. 1

We have been traveling around our local areas looking for great reptile stores. We visited the Scales and Tails in Daytona Beach and heard great things about their Eustis store. We were highly disappointed. First we walked in and there were no lights on in the store. We could not see much. The owner said she keeps the lights off in the store and inside the repitle enclosures because the A/c doesn't work well and it gets to hot in there. She seemed very knowledgeable. But the store was dirty and dingy and they were pretty much out of anything we asked for. (Feeder bugs, suppliments) Also no rodents either. We were going to purchase some discoid roaches, which honestly were over priced. Until we seen actual brown banded Florida cockroach babies crawling on and around the container they were kept in. We decided we're aren't going to buy from here .My husband walked around looking at the snakes in the enclosures and had to use his flashlight on his cell phone to try to see what was in each enclosure. It was a complete waste of time and gas and energy to go to this place. I really hope Eustis has another reputable place to shop for their fish and reptiles.

Always a great experience when I got to this store.... The last who works there is awesome.... She will give good advice on tank issues and it's very very helpful with funding product and whatever my needs are for my saltwater fish tank. The keep a small amount of different fish and crabs and snails in stock as it's a small store but overall always a good sales experience

Scales and tails is so incredible. Jessica and Jason go out of their way in service. I would highly recommend doing business with them. I see them for all my aquarium needs and reptile requirements. They also do many things to influence and help the community. Jessica is influential in bringing knowledge of relationship between reptiles and humankind. Scales and tails is a great advantage to have here in lLAKE COUNTY.

This is the cutest store I've seen in awhile. Great reptiles and tropical fish for purchase. The owners were so friendly and made my daughters day by allowing her to pet one of the iguanas. If your in the area, check this place out!

A great place to spend time. Friendly staff that are very knowledgeable about the animals. They even go above and beyond, showing true love in caring for these animals. I also noticed some neat little items that I never see at big box pet stores either!

Awesome staff and heathy animals. We purchased a bearded dragon from them and they were very helpful with everything and even will do fecal exams to ensure the animals are healthy. Highly recommend!

Very simple and small, but they have made good use of the space. They have several snakes, lizards, fish, spiders, scorpions and more, including some exotic species you might not expect to find. They also have supplies for everything. Maybe more importantly, they were friendly and helpful.

Every time I come here they're closed. Whether they're supposed to be open or not. Extremely frustrating.
