Total hack job by the groomer!!They asked multiple questions about how I wanted my dog groomed…and then did the exact opposite!! I asked for half the length and no shaving, especially near her bum. They shaved her belly, bum, and left only 1/2” of hair on her body.- No transparency to tell us the groomer I spoke to was not grooming our dog- No phone call to tell us they were running late (by an hour). It took 3.5 hours.- No phone call to discuss or tell us they were going to shave my dog!

Lexi needed to be groomed while we were at the "Forgotten Coast". She looks so good and all the people from receptionist to the groomer were incredibly kind. They took a pic from my phone on how I wanted her groomed as well as listened carefully. Next time we're in the area we'll definitely be back. I'd use them all the time if we lived down here!

While vacationing on SGI during Thanksgiving, we needed a place for our black lab. The place was easy to find. It wasVery clean, and the staff were super friendly. Lastly, rather reasonable rates.Would definitely use the Pet Shop of Eastpoint again. Thank you for taking good care of my fur baby

Took Harley in for a grooming. Personally it's the best grooming he has had and he's 12 yrs old. They listened to what we wanted. They have made a customer till we are here. Thanks ladies!!! And we love the "Molly" touch!!

OMGOSH! This place is THE BEST! Everyone is so friendly and they treat your pets like family. Jill took such great care of my two 9 lbs Shih-Tzu's who have long hair. She took extra time and put her personal touch on them. They look like show dogs! Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Our dog was boarded for 6 nights. Pet Stop is well staffed and a busy place. The owner suggested that we pick up our dog for day trips since we were only 10 miles away. That was a great idea and helped break up the stay for our dog. All and all our dog was well cared for. The sleeping kennels were a little “rustic” which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars.

This place is the best! Staff is great with a true love and dedication to your pets while on vacation. We did both day and nite boarding and had exit bath and grooming. Highly recommend and give them 5+stars

I am of average opinion about boarding here. We left our dog for 6 days and they told us to write explicit feeding instructions and they would follow them. Our dog was returned to us with 1/3 of his baggies of food (one for each meal). He had lost a good amount of weight and he was a mad man when we picked him up (with a sore on his nose). They said he wasn’t eating and so they didn’t want to waste food. Shouldn’t they have called and asked us about him not eating? They admitted they probably should have called. They have several outdoor areas for the dogs but I don’t think ours was outdoors much (the reason he was so crazy when we picked him up in the middle of the day). I am unsure they monitor the outside play areas much. We have taken our dog to other boarding and daycare facilities and he hasn’t had any trouble. On the upside: Grooming area looked clean and the dogs being groomed looked comfortable.

My dogs got fleas here March of '23, and were not bathed when I picked them up as stated they would be. Friendly staff, but not a good experience. It me over a month to get all the fleas out of the house.

We have boarded our dog at The Pet Stop for years and the previous owner provided excellent care. Not so now. We have had minor issues since the new owners took over but our experience last week is the reason we will no longer go there. We picked up our dog after a longer stay and he was limping, had swelling and inflammation in his paws and mouth, had visibly lost weight, had a chunk of flesh cut out on his forehead and was timid and withdrawn. There story was that he had been digging under the fence (which I have never observed him doing before). For him to sustain such injury shows a total lack of concern and responsibility. Why did they not take the time to at least contact us if he was showing such behavior? He is on the road to recovery after a visit to the vet thankfully. We will no longer be using the Pet Stop.

Top notch operation. Penelope and all the folks there are warm friendly and, most importantly, love animals. Our two dogs love to go to Penelope's to play and visit with their chums! 4/25/2022 - An update to my original review: The Pet Stop, now under new ownership and management continues the excellent five star care it is known for. The new owners have implemented several updates and improvements and the warmth and welcome both four and two legged creature feel there is beyond compare. One of the finest establishment on the Forgotten Coast.

The Pet Stop of Eastpointe was simply amazing. I was staying in the campground at Carabelle which my little schnauzer does do well at campgrounds (so loud and fussy). But I wanted my babies close they got so much outside time and playtime with other dogs, the best loving and care we could ask for. I got to call and check on them and I got to check them out for a visit and even an overnight. Top notch! Tracey was our favorite ❤️

Shelby, our Australian Shepherd, finally received grooming permission from her Vet after a major operation. She was treated so well. Enjoyed interacting with other pets. beautifully groomed. smelled fresh and clean. Sporting her tropical (made in USA) scarf. very Happy and acting "Diva"! Our standard poodle traveled for 10 hours to her first beach trip. This was her first long trip and she was more anxious than usual. She started barking at folks passing the windows where we were staying and made us more anxious while trying to vacation. We ended up using Penelope’s after our first night at SGI. They were so good to our dog. They got us in quickly and relieved our anxiety. The workers there were unbelievably nice. Our dog had opportunity to socialize with other big dogs and they gave her an amazing bath and trim. She came back to us 3 days later very happy, which told us so much about her care at Penelope’s. We highly recommend her services and will use her again if needed!

Great care for my four dogs that haven't been boarded much. The staff is diligent, compassionate, etc. On pick-up, Grooming was PERFECT!
