I just had my companion dog and furbaby of 13 years put down to ease her medical suffering.If not for the caring staff, I wouldn't have been able to survive it.They not only cared for and treated her for three days at mostly their cost as they had seen the $600.00 cost that I had incurred a week earlier at a clinic she had been going to for 13 years.They not only helped me through it, but they found me a little rescue older dog that she thought would be good for me.Come to find out, it needed me as much as need her.She has been the perfect companion, as she has all the traits and attributes my little Pepper had.Kudos to Gabe, who especially put my pup at ease and even held when she crossed the Rainbow Bridge.Kudos too to all the great Vets and Staff.They are not only very knowledgeable, but take the time to explain everything and also answer your questions.

We can’t even begin to express our deepest gratitude for this place. My husband and I came to Indian pass for our one year anniversary and wanted to bring our dogs with us. Unfortunately, our dogs got into the trash while we were out riding bikes. We noticed that a corn on the cob & a bunch of shrimp shells amongst other food missing and wasn’t sure which dog ate the corn on the cob. We called a couple of that in the area. The first one in Port St. Joe told us that it wasn’t a big deal. But we wanted to get a second opinion and Apalachicola bay animal clinic Told us that we should bring the dogs in immediately. The care and immediate action of the man Michael on the other end was very comforting & helped us to feel that we were on the right track. He told us that it would be better safe than sorry and that they would fit us in immediately. We drove 30 minutes that way, and when we got there they got us in a room asap.They took X-rays and came up with a game plan that seemed reasonable and doable. Long story short, the dogs are okay. This place is amazing! The vet that helped us to decide the best course of action was also amazing! I’m pretty sure she was Michael’s wife! Thank you guys so much for helping our vacation to not be a nightmare by helping us make the right decisions for our sweet babies! We are incredibly grateful to you!!!! Thank you for your professionalism and helping us to also feel like family! We know one of our dogs isn’t the easiest & yall didn’t make us feel bad about it at all! 🙏💓

This is our second visit to this Apalachicola Bay Animal Clinic. As snow birds down from Fort Wayne, Indiana with three dogs, we were very pleased with the care two of our three have gotten here. Our Bentley had a sore foot last winter and received great care. This time it was Charlie with an eye ulcer. I was able to get him in the very next day and he was seen and thoroughly evaluated. It wasn’t a cheap visit but the our vet at home is costly, as well.The front office staff are friendly and helpful. There was one woman fielding calls who had an especially calm and helpful attitude on the phone. What a great asset. We met another customer who told us he drives all the way from Port St. Joe because he likes and trusts this place. To me that really is a good testimonial.The parking lot is a squeeze and we took the last spot. But on the other side of the building is another business where it appears customers can use as well. But then you have to walk across the grass.

What a wonderful place!! As we were traveling through town, our dogs got into a spat and one got a bad neck puncture. ABAC was able to squeeze us in, clean her up, contact the emergency vet in Tallahassee for surgery, write up her notes, and get us on our way-all without charging us a cent. I'll definitely be making a donation to repay the kindness, but you just don't get that kind of service every day. They truly care for the pets they see. Highly recommend!

It's been an emotional rollercoaster the last few days but we have to say ABAC was so wonderful with our sweet dog Daisy. We are on vacation in Cape San Blas and they immediately got us in as an emergency. Jane, one of the receptionists was so sweet and empathetic knowing we were 13 hours from home and all sorts of emotional distress. Emily, our vet tech, spent so much time with us in the room helping administer medication and an IV bag. She was so sweet and caring. Another gentleman who I believe his name was Gabe even brought in a mat and blanket to help our dog lay down in comfort since she suffers from severe arthritis, even when she vomited it didn't phase him and helped us clean up the room. Dr. Northrop explained everything in detail and helped walk us through what we needed to do next and answered all of our questions. The amount of time they spent with us during our visit was extensive we sincerely appreciated the care they provided and the time they spent with us. We ended up being transferred to Tallahassee to continue treatment. However, this is the only vet in the area within 1.5 hours and feel so lucky they were willing to assist where they could. It's a small facility but they certainly go above and beyond to the best they can with the resources provided considering so many people rely on this one facility.

During our vacation to SGI our Annie🐾 tore her doggy “ACL” and was in a lot of pain. We arrived at “ABAC” as an emergency work-in. Staff were awesome and very knowledgeable and took wonderful care of Annie. They made sure Annie got the appropriate care and medication so we could make our trip home without Annie being in pain or uncomfortable. I would highly recommend them to others. We will definitely return if we needed.

Wonderful vet in eastpoint Florida. We are full time travelers and had a standard poodle with shaking head and scratching ears. Vet treated her for ear infection. Very friendly!!

Dr. Northrup and the staff saved our dog's life this week. We rushed him there with an extremely high temperature and in distress. They immediately jumped in to assess and treat him. Wonderful experience! Loved the vet. She was awesome with Mr. Bolo, as well as the assistant. Staff was friendly and was able to schedule us quickly. Exam was very thorough and priced economically. Would HIGHLY recommend this facility!

I could not be happier with the care today!!!!!Dr. Northrop and vet tech Gabe were amazing today. Gave my baby 4 shots, cleaned his ears, found 2 different infections in them and clipped his nails all without him getting upset or yelping. They were perfect with him. I will never go anywhere else

They got our sick doggy in within a few hours. Everyone we dealt with there was very nice & compassionate too. Very affordable prices too. We got an office visit AND antibiotics for our dog for $84! We will definitely go back there whenever we are in the area if we have an issue with our pets!

Wonderful clinic! The staff was super friendly from front staff to back and Dr. Northrop! They where able to get us worked in between appointments. Our older pup had to have his incision repaired while we where down at SGI (he busted out of his cone) They took great care of Chevy and seriously helped us out while we where out of town! This office is A++ Awesome! We were on our last day of vacation and our sweet boy Nio drank some sea water and got very ill. He could not keep fluids down and he was getting very dehydrated. We were very concerned on how we would get back to Atlanta with Nio being so sick. We got the the recommendation to Dr. Fulmer and they got us in immediately, which was truly amazing. Nio needed some medications and some IV fluids. Nio gets very nervous with new situations and Dr.Fulmer and staff were wonderful. They let us sit with Nio till his fluids were complete and he did so great. We did not have to sedate him and were so happy about that. Dr Northrop and staff are outstanding. I brought my Llewellin Setter "Mac" today for a visit to address some potential issues on the reproductive side of things, as a breeder. This area is exceptionally fortunate to have not only a board-certified theriogenologist in Dr Northrop, but one as kind and approachable as she is as well. I have no doubt that the care and expertise she and her staff showed also translate equally across annual visits, emergencies, and whatever other veterinary needs you may have.

My husband and I have been staying on St. George Island this month with our 3-year-old Boston Terrier Winston. Winston was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor three weeks ago, and we knew we might have to say goodbye to him during our visit. Everyone at Apalachicola Bay Animal Clinic was supportive and helpful during the whole process. When the day arrived, Michael and Dr. Northrop did everything to make the transition stress-free. They came out to our car to perform the procedure, so Winston had no anxiety. Thank you for your compassion and professionalism.

They were able to get our Jack Russell in same day and treated for sand impaction. The Dr., techs, and staff were caring, kind, and competent. Our dog was vomiting and low energy. His recovery was great following the clinic's aftercare plan. In fact our 12 year old dog is better than he has been in a year or more. We were very very happy with the excellent care!!!!

Would never take dog here again. Took has stomach issues and I thought she could possibly have a blockage, after Vet suggested to me to do a xray and ultrasound still did not know anything other than my baby had a full stomach which I already knew because she hadn't pooped since the day before. Was told that if someone more trained was doing the ultrasound that they may have possibly been able to tell me if my dog had a blockage. Suggested doing exploratory surgery with a rough estimate of $1,000. If your a business and going to charge someone $185 for ultrasound make sure u have someone who knows what they are looking for.
