Ordered large $200 order of dog food with a pickup in store promo only to arrive at store and find out 1 of the bags was not in stock and was cancelled rather than shipped to me. I ended up driving across town to a specific location just because they claimed to have all in stock for pickup in store. Had I known I could have just gone to my local store and ordered the one bag which was out of stock. This fiasco and complete frustration left me short of the promo I was trying to take advantage of and the entire reason for ordering all my pets food at once and for pickup. Iām very frustrated and have had more and more issues obtaining my pets food every time lately. When on auto ship it wouldnāt arrive on time or was out of stock forcing me to buy elsewhere. I may now be forced to switch to another pet store or chewy where I donāt have to constantly be frustrated. I also noticed Iām not getting credit for the 4 bags of food I just purchased on my rewards and Iām so frustrated and have no time to have to call and argue this. Come on Petcoā¦what is happening? Do we not care about our long term customers anymore? All the good coupons are for new customers only and us old customers get nothing but hassle and lose discounts.

I was in the Petco on Sunday April 28th around 3:00 p.m. when I witnessed a dog groomer be very mean to this cute little helpless white dog. The dog let out a little squeal as though the groomer may have accidentally nipped the dog and he grabbed that dog by the neck of the collar. Obviously, after that I had to continue to watch him mistreat the dog. I spoke to the manager and he assured me that today Monday April 29th that they would review the films and I certainly hope that this young man is put on suspension and sent back to school or fired. I wouldn't take my dog there for grooming to save my life. Also, another customer of the store witnessed the same abuse to the dog that I did.

I always forget her name but the female employee young lady is the BEST! I'm positive others are too, but I and my dog always feel happy when she is able to help us! My dog is more comfortable with her than his vet. She deserves a raise! I'm the one with the still learning white shepherd

I order some food online because they don't have what I need specifically for my cats. Other than that, it's a great place. Excellent staff members.

I purchased a betta fish that died the next day. They refused to provide a refund because I did not provide a water sample. Of course this information was not provided to me when I purchased the fish so after I retrieved it from the water I dumped the tank.I called corporate and was told the policy allows for a refund without a water sample but requires a sample for a replacement fish. I was informed that the store was made aware and I could go there to get my refund.I did, and was refused a refund yet again. The girl at the register called I stand-in general manager Ben (no surprise heās not a full time GM).Ben, being that he was using a cell phone to speak with me therefore the call wouldnāt be recorded, decided to raise his voice at me, yell over my to restate their fish policy over and over again, then told me thereās no way Iād be getting a refund from that store.Ben, here is a coaching opportunity for you, the way you conducted yourself was rude, embarrassing (for you) and unprofessional. The proper way to have handled our phone call would have been to remain calm and ask probing questions to help get to the bottom of the situation. You could have even taken it upon yourself to contact corporate to inquire because, after all, you are in a customer service industry. Because it was your day off (assuming because the associate called you on your cell phone) you made it perfectly clear that you did not want to be bothered. Shame on you Ben, shame on you.Understanding my opinion means very little to such a large company, if ever given an opportunity to promote Ben please be sure to keep this scenario in mind.(PS: I purchased 3 healthy fish from Petsmart using the same water/conditioner and they are still thriving nearly 2 weeks later)

I will not be returning to this petco ever again for any grooming services ! Completely unacceptable to be lied to by the groomer about something he did to my dog. I now take him to Woof Gang and they did an amazing job and are cheaper than Petco as well. š¬

If you ever get a golden doodle groomed at this location make sure to ask for Wendy!! She did and amazing job and groomed our beautiful girl just the way we wanted! She came home very happy and tired. The before and after pictures really say it all. We will be coming back and booking our appointments with Wendy:) if any manager is reading this let Wendy know she is great!

Worse place to take a dog, my puppy was gave back to me unfinished and mistreated, she got home scare and sad, they said she was with too much mattes and couldn't get it off that she need to be take to a vet to finished and when she's clean bring it back. I never going to take it back there again they where horrible with m puppy. See pictures ad she was worse when I picked her up. Also a photo of my puppy before take her there. The last photo it was 2 month's after her shave up, she had a scar on he right thigh and the hair is not growing as before.

So I found a couple fleas on my twi dogs and had no clue what to do, I went to petco to try to find something to help my dogs and Sabrina was absolutely amazing. She had all the knowledge I needed and helped me find exactly what I needed and was super kind and sweet and Iām honestly only writing this review out of appreciation for how awesome she was so thankyou Sabrina!

They gave my boyfriend trouble for picking up $12 cat litter because my name was under the order. I couldn't pick up the order because I had an emergency, and I even wanted to talk to them on the phone about it but the employees were rude and unhelpful towards both of us. I even sent the receipt to my boyfriend, via, email, with all of my information and they still were acting rude. When I asked them if I can add his name to the order, they said that I should just cancel the order and reorder it. Why would I go through all of that trouble when my boyfriend is already at the store with all of my information, the cat litter is ready to be picked up, and all they have to do is give it to him. LITERALLY ALL OF THIS FOR $12 CAT LITTER. In the past, we never had this problem. Petco needs to hire people that are more caring and compassionate to their customer's needs. Now that I'm having an emergency and can't pick up the litter, my cats have to go without litter until my emergency is over and I can go to the store and pick it up. Switching over to a different pet store, that's for sure.

AJ in grooming was absolutely incredible. My senior dog has become a little timid when it comes to nail trimming and AJ had zero hesitation with getting them done, and done well. My boy Marley greatly appreciated the patience and care. Thank you AJ!!

Very pleased with the Petco in Largo! The store is well stocked with the supplies I need for my cat and multiple aquariums. The staff and aquarium department are what made me change from my previous store in Palm Harbor; itās a bit longer drive but well worth it. Employee S. has always been super helpful when Iāve had aquarium and fish questions. She often relates questions to her own experience with tanks at home and provides great suggestions; she even offered to special order specific supplies and fish if I needed. The cashiers K&K are pleasant, friendly, funny, and always make me feel welcomed back. Great store, great stocking, and great customer service! Thanks Largo ladies!

Great location in a busy Plaza. Staff all friendly and helpful. The animals all seemed well cared for and cages kept clean. Would definitely recommend this location for small pets and food n such.

I recently became a fur mom and itās all new to me and can be a bit scary . Elesa was so helpful with explaining to me the best brands in regards to puppy foods (gottta keep our pups healthy ) and also calming treats due to stress . This put me at so much ease . Also Jason and the register was more than helpful with teaching me how to use treats to guide and reward my pup he was SOOO knowledgeable . Best location all employees where extremely helpful !!!!

The only bad thing is they're understaffed which I guess every place is understaffed and they don't make you wear masks. They're also a little bit expensive but they have a huge selection of weight quality stuff

Right at the front door they have plants for sale. There are alocasia plants laying on the ground. They are extremely toxic to both dogs and cats. I told the manager and showed him the information on my phone. His answer was āwell, there is a warning signā. I then asked why he didnāt just put the alocasia on the top shelf and all of the other (nontoxic) plants on the bottom. In which I got no response at all. Having one of the most toxic plants one can own laying on the floor of a pet store is absolutely insane to me.

The store was well stocked with an emphasis on dog supplies, training and grooming. The lizards, turtles and fish all looked healthy and well cared for.No one ever came over to offer us help or assist us. I took that as a bit of a negative, as far as customer service. My wife absolutely loved it (she hated to be "bothered" while browsing).Overall, a great store and a nice shopping experience.

I purchase all most every pet item here. They have a great dog training school with very caring trainers. Pamela is awesome, a true pet lover that trains with a firm but caring style. My dog just about runs to get in the store to see everyone in there.

My order was supposed to be delivered between 2 and 4pmI made sure to be home to get it. I got 2 items about 430. No one told me the rest of my order would be delivered.I went to local store they had the rest of my order and Doordash came in to get it when I was there. This was after 5pm. What if we had plans for the evening. I didn't want my stuff left on the door.
