My spouse and I went to Pet World today, and we had the best experience. We initially went to get food for our parakeets, but we ended up leaving with a Quaker Parrot and a Conure. The birds were well tamed and extremely friendly, not leaving our shoulders, especially the Conure.The employees were also extremely welcoming, very knowledgeable, and very helpful.We will definitely be back.

I am setting up a new tank after a blank 20+ yrs of no fish. I bought my first fish to fill a tank I bought from a friend .. Pet World had more variety, very helpful & informative staff (Ken)to remind me what I had forgotten. my first of many to come fish are very happy! Thank you.

They like to change their prices randomly. I bought a small rat a few times around $3, and when I went in the other day it changed to $7! Absolutely way overpriced for a small rat. Not to mention most of the people there don’t really seem to know much or what’s going on. If you want to keep money in your pockets, keep away from this place because almost everything in here is marked up.

We bring our grand kids here frequently. They have a large selection of small animals, birds, reptiles, fish, cats and dogs. They are also fully stocked with supplies for all the animals they sell. Their staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It's honestly the best pet store around!

They had some birds but not a big variety I seen one parrot three love birds three cocktails and alot of parakeets I want a African Grey or a cockatoo and its crazy that I have to go all the way to Orlando and I live here

I love this store anytime i come in the employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. They let you hold all the animals and are very helpful with giving information. They have beautiful birds here. And really cute puppies! Highly recommend checking out for pet needs or looking to add a furry friend to your family.

Just looking around this awesome pet store, and I saw a beautiful blue, red Betta fish swimming in a big jar of water, at the check-out stand. He said take me home with you! So I did.Blu loves his new home too!

My family absolutely loves this place!! Ken & the entire staff are so helpful, knowledgeable & friendly. Our pet birds came from here & are healthy & thriving. They even offer free routine wing clipping/nail trimming with a in-store purchase. I also buy our dog food here. We will ALWAYS come here for our pet needs!

The flea meds I bought for my dogs didn't work. I got another brand from Tractor Supply and they cleared right up. The prices are fair enough so I'll continue to get other things here.

This is the place! Dogs, birds and other animals for sell. They have a huge variety of pet supplies. If you want to see this bird in person it’s by the dogs on the right hand side. It talks!! I say it bc I don’t know what it is.

Mainly reviewing their freshwater fish selection & practices:I have been shopping at Pet World for freshwater fish for several years and am really happy with the fish I have purchased there. I have some tetra's that are 4 years old from that store and are still in great shape. I have recently went to their store and they have an impressive amount of freshwater fish tanks, all of which were stocked.The fish looked very healthy and many of the tanks had their own filtration system which is a great practice to keep the healthiest fish possible. They also have a good selection of fish including cichlids(american/african), goldfish, mollies, guppies, snails, shrimps(mainly neocaridina of different colors), rainbowfish, and many different tetras. On my visit, there was no visible disease present in any of the tanks and they were all very clean. The saltwater selection was fairly empty when I went, but I have seen some more oddball fish there in the past such as mandarin gobies.In terms of other animals, they have many mammals, reptiles, and supplies, all of which are clean and well kept. The store is well organized and well kept. I would say they are probably the best freshwater fish source in the area based on their tanks and practices. They have also special ordered fish for me in that past that were not in the store. Great store with knowledgeable and helpful staff.

Everyone was super nice and friendly and answered all of our questions we had when getting our puppy. ☺️I would recommend coming here if looking for an Animal. They get all their animals from local breeders only. And they are reasonably priced!

The people in PetWorld really care about not only the pets but the owners. Our son is deaf and even though they don't know sign language the worked with him at great length making sure he understood and would be successful with his many different fish tanks. I have been going to pet world for the last 4-5 years, since I was 13/14 years old. I’ve bought a hamster, fish, and a puppy from here years ago. Me & my mom was told our puppy was going to be hypoallergenic and have minimal shedding, which he does not, as he’s just over 3 years old now, but it’s not a big problem or why I wanted to make this review. Why I wanted to leave a review now is because my boyfriend lives in Lake Alfred and we were planning on getting a puppy, kitten, or small animal from here. I already have a guinea pig and anytime I have to buy food I tried to buy it from here, which I buy bulk, spending about $70-$100 at a time just on guinea pig stuff, about every 2 months.My boyfriend and I have been coming here once a week for a few months, and we usually don’t buy anything unless I need something for my guinea pig or we need something for our fish tank. We also had plans to support local and purchase dog/cat supplies (food, toys, collars, etc) from here. Well, the last time we went in to look at the animals they have, I don’t know if he is the manager or owner (bald, white, looks older, was wearing grey shirt) made some kind of “joke” along the lines saying if we stay in here for an hour again we’re going to owe him money, basically a smart comment about us coming inside and never really buying anything when he happens to be there. He also started following us around the store, as if we were stealing. Now, me and my boyfriend are never really bothered by anything but this really rubbed the both of us the wrong way. I don’t feel comfortable going inside knowing that just because we come inside often and don’t make purchases every time, he is assuming that we’re stealing. I have always love Pet World and make the hour drive from Sebring just to support them, and visit anytime I stay at my boyfriends house. Due to this situation, I don’t think I will be coming here unless I need something very specific and know they’re the only place that has it. I know we are only two customers out of thousands that they have and they won’t be loosing a lot of business, but I just wanted to come on here and say something. I don’t expect a response either, it’s just greatly disappointing knowing how we’ve been treated here and how long I have tried to support Pet World.
