I showed up at 9:30 expecting to buy a couple things. The door and online says they close at 10:00. The guy working there wouldn't let me in he stated we are closed. I asked why aren't you open till 10:00? He answered me by saying we've been closing at 9:30 so we can get the store cleaned up! Wow! Really? I suggest changing your sign to say 9:30.

I used to love this store, anywhere else in the United States. In Wilmington, they’re never stocked. Stock is always on the floors in boxes. The stock on shelves, is disorganized. The shelves are probably never cleaned, nor are the floors, windows or doors. Bring hand sanitizer with you, don’t plan on purchasing one there, most likely not in stock.Question: why do they lock up toothpaste at this store???? See picture

What's good : Best dollar store in 10 mile radius, well stocked and maintained store. Good cheap cutlery, kitchen and bathroom stuff, great price on decorations and fancy itemsWhat's not : wouldn't trust the frozen food and beauty products here

Had the audacity to close 15 minutes and locked the doors as we were walking towards the door. Literally closed at 9:46pm and sat down. Here’s a picture of who closed the door and I’ll be calling the corporate office on Monday.

It's literally you're job to bag the items but the cashier couldn't be bothered to place my items in the bag I purchased. However, she definitely bagged the items of the people behind me.......it wasn't my attitude, because I was nice. she know why and she needs to be fired. You get paid to provide good service to everyone, not just who you feel like. If you cannot do that, get another a job or go into business for yourself

This store has a new manager, Eddie. The shelves are fully stocked, the team members are helpful, courteous, and treated well, and the entire atmosphere has changed, making this little community a better place! When I worked here in 2014 there was a pretty decent manager that kept the store clean and running smoothly, she got promoted and the store declined in my opinion. Currently it's better than it was maybe 2yrs ago, but could still be better.I don't know what day they get deliveries anymore but it's best to go when they do have them because stuff sells out fast. I have seen them shut down once or twice due to cleanliness and the pandemic so have your hand sani ready if you're brave.I prefer the Miller Rd location because they have better stock and selections.

Whoever worked as a cashier last night needs to be retrained and possibly even fired. A woman was in the store last night buying some items. She was nice to the cashier, but the cashier was extremely rude and condescending to her. Making her bag her items, but bagging everyone else's behind her. Absolutely disgusting worker.

Don't shop on a Thursday night. Apparently supply truck comes in Friday morning. Good thing, a lot of shelves were completely empty. But for the most part whenever I visit the Dollar tree I always get what I need never long lines and please are polite

7/2023 update (p)review -Has it changed? Has it changed?! No. Not really. That's a good thing. You know what they say- fool me once shame on me. Fool me once shame on me. You ain't going to fool me again. Wonderful store.Previous (original gangster) review -I got that dollar stuff and it was a good deal. Very reasonable. I went at 12pm on a Wednesday and there was a lot of empty space in the fridge/freezer area. I'll be back though cuz it's super local and $1.25.

Was out of stock of everything we needed such as toilet paper, tissues, styrofoam cups, milk and just ordinary stuff. Very low morale in that store, including the manager. I saw them have some problem on the register and there was a huge line forming. The manager should have opened up another register and get that line down. But she did not do that until later rather than sooner. I saw the manager hiding in the office most of the time and not really monitoring the store properly. We decided not to go to this particular dollar store ever again.

It's almost always busy at this location but they have great cashier's so an occasional line isn't too bad. Friendly staff, great selection. They always have good finds at Dollar Tree but the odds are even better with this particular location, most likely because business is steady here and the product turns over quickly. Love this store!

I love the convenience of this store, but they are often out of stock/ currently stocking when it comes to inventory. I don't like the structure Dollar Tree as a company has with only putting one or two people on registers during a shift, but the employees at this branch are quick and friendly. They even helped me write a message in a card in Spanish. It may not be perfect, but it's a great place to shop.

Closed 4 days in a row, and informed maybe 2-5 days from now but employee said "not really sure". At least update your Google page to give your customers a heads up. Hopefully after the fix there will be more than 1 cashier and stocked shelves and a clean store.

Just watched a lady STUFF a Shop Rite bag AND another bag full of products (Asile 9, check your inventory for boxes of empty items).Reported it to the cashier on duty who could've cared less or even been an accomplice since he had direct line of site on aisle 9. His comment when I told him, "I wouldn't be surprised." WOW, what a joke. My place if business, he'd be fired.IF the store manager or someone from corporate reads this, they should be dismayed at the lack of concern the employee had in protecting the business from theft.The woman was easily catchable and had literally just walked out the door when I reported it.That's about as ghetto as you can get. I won't be shopping at that location again.

This is a pretty decent store..Just recently i had a horrible experience. The store manager Lester stopped me as soon as i came in the store, disrespectfuly telling me i cant come into the store with my book bag. He insulted me by saying woman like me come in here and fill our bags. Then he told me to leave the store! I was outraged! Very surprised that he was the store manager stereotyping me. I was a faithful customer until that day.

Michelle the night manager was wonderful. She played with my teacup yorkie, suggested treats, wrapped all the glass items well and checked us out effortlessly. I wanted to tip her but didn’t have cash so I left, drove to the bank and came all the way back just to show her my appreciation. She declined the tip over and over again until I would have it no other way. Wow. This world needs more like her. Go Michelle!! May God bless you always!

I just got home from the store & hafta say I went in for 1 item but found 10. I had to purchase that lobster egg roll because of the earlier review so, we'll see. But the main reason I'm reviewing is the cashier, she is SO patient w/ the numbskull clientele. Every time I shop there someone in line ahead of me has a card that doesn't work & they argue w/ the cashier because they don't have their act together! Simone has the patience of Job, she is so nice even when they talk like it's her fault!!! Applause for Simone!!

You need to pay attention to your store on Union Street! The manager (a guy) isn't worth the space he takes up and have someone clean up your parking lot, it looks like the landfill! You should be ashamed of the place!

Lots to choose from but the stock was still in the boxes on the floor and in some cases it would block the entire entrance into the Isle. The store was fairly clean. The parking lot was very dirty. The staff was not friendly. The staff was not friendly.

It's absolutely terrible! This is the closest dollar store to me so it sucks that I have to drive further now just to go to another one. I think new management has taken over recently because it wasn't always like this. It's dirty, empty shelves with boxes down every Isle, stacked high, you can't even get down the Isle. I'm sure they have the supplies but they're in the boxes, no organization at all. The staff is fed up with it, I've talked to some of them, they said they put a complaint in about the manager but nothing has been done. Needless to say, don't go!! Go the extra distance and go to another one.

This Dollar Tree is in a decent location in the Little Italy section of the City of Wilmington, Delaware. This store is ideal for a quick run for greeting cards, snacks, and other items. The customer service needs significant improvement and there are long lines and wait times frequently at checkout.

Well there's not much in terms of explicit detail that one can say about Dollar Tree and im sure we are all aware that typically you get what you pay for but again you are looking at the review for a Dollar Tree so this should just be universally understood. In my humble opinion, there's not much that can be expected out of this types of discount chain store other than inexpensive goods and some form of professional quality customer service. Today I visited the Union St. location and it's important to note that it's Halloween in a few days and as I had expected, many areas throughout the store were in absolute disarray, especially, again as expected, the candy aisle and for whatever reason, one of the multiple ice cream chest that are located conveniently next to each checkout line were also in complete disarray. Quite a few of the icecrean products had been squashed and mangled to the point where they should have already been removed from and taken out of the current live m inventory. The messyness didn't phase me and I soldiered on and while I did not find what I initially wanted I found something else in the icecrean chest that would do instead. So overall, from my experience at this specific Dollar Tree facility that's located on Union St. in Wilmington Delaware, this store appears to be operated by friendly, helpful and dedicated associates whom take their job seriously, who are professional in their dress as well as damenir and who will help out the customers in whatever way the customer needs and expects. For this specific store, as it relates to all of the other Dollar Tree locations that I had the privilege of personally visiting, this location seems to be a mirror image of the other Dollar Tree locations from ever visual aspect. The Union St. location appears to be operated by a friendly group of professionals young and old and is stocked with inexpensive goods that will do the trick for what it cost and honestly there's not a hole lot more that should be or can be said. In conclusion, if you need to purchase something from a Dollar Tree and you plan on visiting this brick and mortar, it will meet and or exceed your expectations and you will be in the company of friendly professionals who take pride in performing their job to the best of there ability so your customer service experience should be a pleasant one. Lastly and it goes without saying, the cost of the products will be very competitive and inexpensive but again it's just common sense that you get what you pay for. Cheerz

My favorite part of shopping here is being harrassed by the lightskinned overweight assistant manager that wears glasses.While dominating the isle I was walking down . Or trying to walk down. She took every oppertunity to stand her ground while she pretended to be working. Absolutely would not let me pass. Then after a couple of choice words from employee of the year. I just decided to turn around and back track to another patg to the frozen section. Feeling she had won the battle of isle domination. Decided to have a victory dance of sorts while she reveled in her victory with a racist taunt. In which I became a White peice of fecal matter.Thank you for this life changing expierence. I cant wait to return and be reafirmed as the Caucasion pile of duke. Aces!
