They claim to want to help dogs with anxiety to set up specific times for nail trims, but they are liars. They put up a total front during your first time in, seem so helpful and kind, that way you schedule more appointments, waste your time, waste your money, and hurt your dog’s chances of having a positive experience in the future. DO NOT GO TO THEM!!! We set up a nail trim for our 2 dogs. One went fine, the other, not so much. Our dog with anxiety was told she has aggression after she peed herself from being so scared on the grooming table and accidentally scratched open the worker’s latex glove. Maybe she’s scared because of how they went about trying to trim her nails! But she is not and has never been “aggressive.” They made a mistake with our second appointment time, where they offered to open up 15 minutes early (9:45) for us to bring her in so she would be the only one there. When we arrived (9:39), they claimed we almost missed our 10 minute grace period for having an appointment 30 minutes before opening (9:30). This was completely false and they tried to push off their scheduling mistake onto us! We were grateful that they were even opening 15 minutes before opening to try and help our dog, but we know they didn’t tell us to come in 30 minutes before - they’re just lying to our face today. As we’re walking out after refusing to put our dog in this environment with the bad energy in there today, the owner says under his breath, “good, I didn’t even want to get bit today.” ARE YOU KIDDING? You claim you want to help and specialize in dogs with anxiety and make it a welcoming place? You’re setting dogs up to fail! Do not waste your money on this place. Absolute disgrace of a business and humans that work there. Disgusting behavior.Update, in response to their comment back to my original review: You continue to lie. My dog did not bite you THREE times like you are claiming. She got you once, and her nails got you another time. You signed up for this job buddy! You should expect that all dogs do not behave like themselves when put into stressful situations. But you created a hostile environment today by questioning us, the customer, about our appointment time. Your automated system and your brain need some updating, because we were told the appointment is 9:45 AM, and arrived for that time, because we were never told 9:30 AM. We denied you touching our dog today and walked out because of your inappropriate tone and actions today that created an unsafe environment for our dog with anxiety. And circling back, you never said anything about her medication prior to her previous appointment and then lectured us about it when you didn’t know. We can’t read your mind if you never told us to tell you! We will NEVER be returning to your joke of a business again and we will continue to tell everyone around Newark about your scam of a business model. What a joke.

We love Uncle Aaron and the whole family! They are the nicest people and take such great care of our pups. I’ve had great experiences both having my dogs groomed and using the self service wash. The self service washing stations are even big enough to wash two dogs at once - makes my life easier! 😄

Love this place. Family owned and operated. Employees are so friendly and knowledgeable. You feel like family here! They do a great job with my 2 dogs. Whatever product(s) they use, the scent lasts for days after the appt...I'm impressed!

Absolutely fantastic experience having my not so easy to handle dogs’ nails cut! Uncle Aaron knew exactly how to handle by dog, Fin, who usually doesn’t take to folks. Thanks so much to him and his staff! Can’t wait to bring him back!

This dog mom had some real anxiety about the groomers after a terrible experience with a previous company. I began to do my research and saw many raving reviews about Uncle Aarons!My entire experience from start to finish was fabulous. I was able to schedule my 1 year old sheltie or a full groom online - making the process very easy and fast! Leading up to her appointment, I received confirmation texts reminding me of the date and time she would be seen. From the moment we walked through the door, we were welcomed with such kindness and warmth. Lucy tends to be a little shy and reserved with strangers but I felt immediate relief and comfort when Aaron kneeled down to approach her and allow her to come to him, rather than whisking her away from me. Aaron was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what kind of service I was looking for and assured that I would be pleased with the results. He also noted that I could call at any time to check on her to see how she was doing- which I never felt the need to do, because I knew she was in great care! The front desk staff texted me 15 minutes before her service was finished allowing me to arrive on time to pick her up. When I got there, Aaron was making sure Lucy was just right and looking beautiful with little bows in her hair. She looked stunning.We will certainly be a regular customer from now on! Lucy came home strutting her fluffy self- smelling like a little flower! My husband and I cannot recommend Uncle Aaron's enough! Thank you for doing such a beautiful job on our Lucy girl!

Always a good experience for my dogs. One of them hates nail trims and the vet wanted me to drug him for it. Uncle Aaron’s gets him in and out no problems. Not dissing the vet techs i think they are thrown into situations for which they aren’t prepared and only know what they are taught. Which includes holding the dog down. Uncle Aaron’s team has super competent groomers who know what they are doing and do it with care and compassion. They also do a great job with my adopted part doodle who needs his face and feet trimmed. So Lucky I found them.

Uncle Aarons does a amazing job on our goldendoodle puppy! We are apart of their membership club and it is one of the best decisions we could’ve made for our puppy that requires constant grooming and attention! We love how well they work with him and are so understanding to his puppy energy! Highly recommend Uncle Aarons!

Lots of space! Wonderfully polite staff! Dogs being groomed & bathed appear relaxed. The groomer is dressed up like an old time barber 💈 complete with hat 🎩 Love this! Self serve area has multiple shampoos & conditioners. Self service is $15 regular price and $10 if it is raining ☔️ or snowing ❄️ outside.

I was so excited to get my pup professionally groomed here (I regularly brushed, washed and cut his hair on my own during the pandemic). After walking in and speaking with the employees I didn't feel it was a good fit for us. While the place looked nice, I found the membership "policy" and restrictions unwelcoming and structured based on lack of trust vs. the best interest of the pet/owner. I prefer to start off a relationship with a groomer where my pup and I try the service first before feeling so pressured to commit. I'm going to take my money elsewhere for regular grooming. While the employees weren't rude, the overfocus on the membership didn't make me feel welcome.

Great experience! They took their time with my baby mocha, so very grateful they were able to help with my puppy she was very matted since it was her first groom ever ! But thankfully they worked with her and made sure she was comfortable throughout the whole process, great trust worthy people ! Thank you guys so much my baby is feeling and looking so much better thanks to you guys! Great team ! ❤️

I cannot recommend Uncle Aaron’s enough. Our 2 yr old adopted Rottweiler mix does not like her nails trimmed to the point even when we took her to the vet she had to be medicated and still took several people to handle her with a muzzle to get her nails clipped and it was traumatic for her. So a friend recommended Uncle Aaron’s. When I first took her she was not being cooperative and Aaron recommend we bring her back on a scheduled appointment so he could work with her and reassure her it was okay. So we scheduled an appointment for today. She was nervous but slowly got more comfortable as we where waiting for Aaron to be available. This was helpful because our dog is scared of other dogs. So she was warming up to the situation. So once he was done and the place was empty he took her and got her to loosen up and she is getting more comfortable. He was able to clip her nails for us with no medication or anything. He also gave us some recommendations to help her feel secure in situations like this. We are scheduled again in 4 weeks.

Hello! Someone in the MOT Facebook group recommended Uncle Aaron Grooms in Glasgow (Newark) and I just wanted to share that we had such a great first experience there today! My two dogs had a nail cut and grind and Aaron couldn’t have been any nicer to me and my dogs. He comforted them when they seemed nervous and did a great job with their nails! The place was updated and clean and they have a great online platform to schedule appointments! Hours are great too! If you’re looking for a new groomer, give them a chance!

My dog has bad anxiety and can be really difficult to work with. Which makes finding a groomer challenging to say the least. Uncle Aaron will not only welcome you and your pup, he will find ways to work specifically with all their little quirks so they can be as comfortable as possible. You can tell him and his staff really care about what they do and it shows at the end of every appointment!

They have always been so warm and welcoming when I was there for training or retail .. well today we had our first grooming with my pitbull and she just feels, looks and smells amazing! The communication was great especially when just addressing some concerns with my pup they put me to ease and as well as I could visibly see the comfort in my dog when I came to pick her up and that speaks volumes. They truly are dog people and they truly work with love. ❤️ Will be recommending for all retail and grooming needs!

My dogs are skittish and very nervous about nail trims. I came in braced for a trim session where the techs did the best they could. What I got was the best nail trim experience ever. Not only was the rockstar at Uncle Aaron’s able to get my boys nails trimmed well, she was able to use the grinder to smooth their nails - which saves both us and the furniture from scratches. It’s clear these folks not only are masters at grooming, they also really know and understand what dogs need to get through the process without fear and with trust. I am so impressed and and THRILLED to have found Uncle Aaron and this team.

Uncle Aaron has a true passion for animals and grooming. His love and compassion shows with everything he does. He discussed grooming options that would best fit my dog and any concerns he saw during his visit. His mobile grooming option was great as we live a little far from his shop. My kids looked forward to him coming every month for our dog, Jack. The heart beat bear is one of the best keepsakes I have. Uncle Aaron is truly a part of our family.

Please watch out for this business. We will NEVER use them again! They charged us a deposit just to get services done there, but when our dog had his first visit they barely did anything to him…supposedly since it was his first visit, but didn’t apply our deposit to the cost of the first visit (telling me that it would be used for the NEXT visit). So on our appointment date, our car was towed. We “asked” if we could reschedule without penalty, but was told no. That’s all well and good…it was HOW we were told no. The young man who answered the phone was more respectful than the owner. Aaron himself is extremely rude & condescending. He insulted my fiancé to the point I told her to hang up…before I had to go visit him in person. Horrible customer service, and we STILL didn’t get credit for our deposit!! He charged us full price for missing the appointment.

All I can say is great things about uncle aaron's grooming services. They care about your pet and their needs. If you have common sense and know how to follow policies and rules you should not have a problem. If you have any concerns or doubts just ask and they are most likely to walk through everything with you. My two mini schnauzers always love to be there and come out looking fresh and adorable. I see other negative reviews that are most likely that they did not get what they want when they wanted. If everyone got their way, a business would not grow, and it would be complete chaos. If you want responsible, caring groomers take your fur babies to Uncle Aaron. I appreciate all the effort and time they put in on my little ones, they are the most sincere passionate groomers I've come across, no one can argue with how caring and professional they are. It is sad to see people try to take down small family owned business with out hesitation, but when tried to be reached to get their problem solved they vanish then come almost a year later to complain about it. How can one solve an issue they know nothing about, and when trying to reach you, you vanish. Some furbabies are scared from previous places they got groomed, example mine was terrified of the blow dryer it took about 2-3 visits for her to sit through the drying process. If uncle aaron decided not to finsh your baby it was most likely because your baby was not taking it well. Sorry your furbaby wont be getting the same grooming expierence as mine. All furbabies deserve nothing but the best, and the best is Uncle Aaron, and Auntie Ale!

Took my dog today for his first grooming service and I loved it! I will continue to go back to them, my dog was experiencing mild matting and they were able to prevent having to cut it all off with brushing it out and saved his hair from getting shaved. Meg did an amazing job & they are super friendly there! 10/10 recommend 😊
