Nice people a little pricey it's best to just get the job done all at one time and check out some local fence companies in your area to avoidtraveling cost.I should have checked out some fence companies in my area a little longer.the only problem I have is that my trash can fence is real low that you still see my trash can on both sidesI wanted to cut but it's cut too low other I have to figure out something maybe add more wood

Working with the company from NY for a new house in DE, everyone through design, approval to installation has been fantastic!! We called many places before Split Rail and couldn't get a call back. Not only did Robin answer the phone when we first called - she continued to be responsive, professional, knowledgeable through the entire process. The owner Dan came to the house to help design and offered suggestions. The final product was exactly what we discussed and then some. Installation was outstanding! The crew were hard workers and represented the company very well. The job was completed in the timeframe we were advised and we are completely satisfied. Last Tuesday a severe storm blew down 8 panels of fence and cracked 8 support posts. Split Rail Fence was out to see the damage and give me a fair estimate. The job was completed the next day. My 20 year old split rail fence was in a sad way and I realized that it was too costly to repair all the rotted out posts and rails, so I called 4 fence installers, got competitive quotes and decided to go with Dan at Split Rail Fence Store. He responded quickly through Angie's List and called me to set up a visit to get an estimate together. He was right on time and generated my quote quickly. Spoke on the phone with Robin the co-ordinator and got my installation date booked. The day of the install their crew showed up right on time and began the 100% removal of the old fence and installed the new one all in the same day, keep in mind that I only have 300 linear feet of fence. All complete on what seemed like the hottest day of the year and cleaned up any debris that was generated. We are very pleased with the results and fully recommend them to anyone.

Where do I begin. I wish I would have read the reviews before calling this company. I normally check reviews, but since my neighbor had their fence installed by them and it looked nice I just decided to call. This entire process was frustrating. I scheduled my first date for installation on June 29th. The day arrived and no one showed up. I did not receive a courtesy call or nothing. When I called I was told that my date had been moved to July 6th. I asked why didn’t no one inform me and I was told they thought they did and how behind they are due to the weather and how they had 35 people to call. Not my problem So July 6th comes and I receive a call from the owner that they cannot come out today neither because they are still behind and it is really hot outside. He reassured me that he will have a team come out on July 8th for sure in the morning. So by this time I’m already fed up with the no shows, but try to remain understanding as possible. July 8th comes. It is after 12pm and I call Dan the owner and left a message to inform him that there is no one here yet and what time should I be expecting someone. I get a call from Robin in the office, sweet lady, and she stated she has been out of the office for the past two days and has no idea what is going on or where the crew is that is supposed to be out there, but stated she will get someone out here ASAP. The next day comes, July 9th, and FINALLY my fence is being installed. Took 4 hours to complete according to my mom who was present during the installation while I was at work. Right after they left my mom noticed damage to our deck right near the newly installed fence. I had her call Dan to inform him and I called Robin. She told me to send pictures. Before I could send the picture I received my final invoice which included a letter stating that the piece that was broken only cost $3 dollars and they will only be deducting $5 for the damage, slap in the face. No I’m sorry or will we pay to have someone fix it. To add insult to injury they added $200 to my balance for extra labor fees stating they had to remove multiple boulders to dig the holes for the post. I replied to the invoice and stated that I would like to have the price reduced since I had to be rescheduled multiple times and now i have to figure out how to get part of my deck repaired, which should not be my responsibility. I received a response stating that they will take off 10% for the inconvenience of rescheduling multiple times. After all that I went through I would not refer anyone to this company.Service: Wood fence installation

I called Split Rail Fence Store about a new privacy fence during the pandemic. They did an estimate for me safely and sent it by email. It was well within budget. I called to pay the down payment and they scheduled fast - within 2 weeks. The crew arrived on time and worked a long day to finish in one day although they had warned me it may take two. They took out my old falling down privacy fence and posts and installed new posts and a level, new fence that looks great. They left my yard clean and left nothing behind. Now I have a fence and can plan backyard bbqs again.. once the world gets back to it's new normal.My mom loved my fence and she had a composite fence put in by them a few months later. I’m a bit jealous. It’s beautiful with an extra wide gate! Maybe my next fence will be composite. They work fast, it’s done beautifully and they clean up as if they were never there!

They installed my fence in half a day with no issues. The price was the most competitive out of 4 quotes that I received. Communication was good, and responses were immediate. I'll use them again for any fencing needs that I may have.

Where to begin? They came out for the initial estimate with no issue, but it was all downhill after that. I had to call twice to get the estimate details, and what Dan had written down was partially incorrect. He came back out to "re-evaluate" the job about four days ago. Have not been able to get a revised estimate several calls later. Simply put, Split Rail Fence Store DE does not respect your time, so don't give it to them.

Very nice guy who knows his stuff and helped my boyfriend on his DIY fix on the fence. I appreciated all the help he gave us and how flexible he was with us with all the questions and bringing us extra parts we needed that we couldn’t fit in my suv. We truly appreciated his time and expertise and can’t recommend him more highly for supplies.

rushed the job i had a post fall over i went to fix it myself and realized they cut at least 10 inches off!!! the guy shows up for the estimates and talks a great game then you never see him again and the workers have no idea whats going on i guess when you buy cheap you get cheap
